Pulling information out of the iMIS database for authentication purposes like these is only permitted for Public Users in iMIS 10 or iMIS 15 (still used by most sites).
(y) “Public Users” are all other Users. They cannot change anything in the Database except about themselves or they need information stored in the Database for authentication, such as a password.
Other integration must be done very carefully if the user can change or cause a change in the iMIS database or they may need expensive Full User licenses.
All users of any program that can create or update records in the Database without using Our Tools are also Full Users.
You should talk with ASI or an Authorized iMIS Solution Provider before doing such integration.
