My most recent post didn’t publish from WordPress to Medium like it used to. Can anyone else confirm whether this plugin still works on WordPress 5.1.1?

when turning on error (and notice) messages in debug mode I get this:

Any ETA on a fix for this trivial error?

When trying to install my medium token it gives me this error: XXX does not have all the necessary permissions for this plugin. Please generate a new one on your Medium settings page.

I’ve revoked and created a new one and still receiving this issue.

What is the problem & what can I do to fix it?

and that results into the browser showing a 500 Internal Error.

I did some investigation — basically, putting a few try..catch instructions and checking if the culprits were actual objects or not. What I saw was that these objects were actually not objects, i.e. they were NULL and not initialised properly. This is a bug I hadn’t seen on the previous WordPress version, so maybe WP 4.9.5 brought a few tougher restrictions (or different ways of accessing $post_id); or it’s somehow the fault of PHP 7.2 which places new restrictions on how objects are instantiated and accessed — I don’t know.

I’m fine in doing some more tests to help out fixing this issue. For now, the tests I do prevent the 500 error to pop up, meaning that the article draft gets saved properly, but of course, when publishing, the article will not be sent to Medium.

I actually wonder why the Medium plugin is actually being invoked for drafts — theoretically it should remain dormant during draft saving and only be active during publishing/updating…

I can’t seem to find any where in the wordpress dashboard to add my Medium integration token.

Can someone help me? I am using WP 4.9.4

I am working with plugin together with the ACF plugin. I have an image field for a post and while I am trying to “create” the content from wordpress site post for my medium account, the “img” tag does not “go” to medium.

I installed and configured the Medium plugin on my WordPress site, but I am unable to publish any post, everytime when I click Publish, I get the following error:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_the_category() in /home/my_website/public_html/wp-content/plugins/medium-wordpress-plugin-master/lib/medium-admin.php on line 768”

after which when I go back to WordPress the post is published on my site, but nothing on Medium.
Can someone help me debug this issue?

Medium Error: No publication ID specified (2013)

Just started using the plugin last night, a very good idea, but do wish it would be able to publish scheduled posts and posts created through the “Press This” bookmarklet.

Last night I scheduled a couple posts for 5:30 AM this morning. When I checked this morning, I saw they published to my blog, but not to Medium. So then I went into the WP Standard Editor for the posts and updated them and that got them posted to Medium.

Then I created a new post using the “Press This” button I have set in my browser and published it. When I checked my Medium stories the new post wasn’t there, so I had to edit the post in WP and update and then it posted to Medium.

Please update the plugin for these capabilities. Thank you.

According to the plugin page, the plugin has been tested up to WP 4.4.8.

Is this plugin still supported?

It appears that Medium does not retain links that are associated with images within the article. Can you guys fix this please?

My plugin works fine but I would like the articles I post from WP to Medium appear in my Medium publication or does the plugin only publishes to the author’s page? I could not find a “integration token” in the settings page of my publication. So what’s the trick to get my WP stories to automatically appear in my Medium publication?

Is there a way to make excerpts of the medium posts available on the wordpress site?

For language translation we are using qtranslate plugin

When I enter my token into the options panel on my profile (I am admin level), it doesn’t store. A confirmation appears at the top saying my account has successfully been connected, but the token field is still blank and when I am writing/editing a post, it still tells me to enter an integration token to use the plugin. It appears it is not storing my token in the database.

I tried using phpmyadmin to manually store the token but couldn’t find the row in the options table for doing so.

Is it possible to only send a single category to Medium?

When using the WordPress json api to create and publish a post – the medium plugin is not being triggered.
(This does not seem to be an issue with the api, as other plugins are correctly triggered)

If multiple posts are edited to change category, for example, in the quick edit screen it results in the error “no publication ID specified 2013.”

I checked the code and there isn’t anything that prevents the save_post action from running when updating via quick edit. I’m not sure if it should be running that action at that point. IMO it probably shouldn’t.

Alternatively it shouldn’t throw the error when using a core WP feature like that.

Hello, I need a piece of advice on how to turn Medium plugin on for custom post types. It works for me for Posts, but not for custom post types like Articles, News and so on.

These post types are created in the functions.php file like this:
