This was the issue that I run into:
Dry Run works fine, but actuall import just stops working after importing just one file. There’s information to check the error in particular row of the file or in the logs – there’s no information in both places.
I wrote a ticket and didn’t get any response for 24h that they even get my request. I wrote on support forum – silence for few hours.
But after a while they finally responded to my ticket and I got solution within short period of time and quick exchanges of emails ??

I was using this plugin on our website and didn`t notice that it makes the website super slow.
I was deactivating all other plugins one by one and was confinced this Plugin could not be responsible for the bad performance.
I deactived it no since i didn’t work anymore with the latest wordpress update and found out that the website is now way faster.
On the upsite: It worked as promised and synced files uploaded via FTP.
To the developper. Please check why your plugin slowes down the websites…

Will sync a picture. But now I get 403 error. The page can not be found. Uninstalling Media sync and reinstalling it again. The same error. No problems before. The problem may have come with the latest wordpress update.

Some 250 files were missing in my database, but Media Sync put them all back, even with their original time stamp!

It’s simple and does the job it’s meant to do. I love it and have it in my list for all the sites I work on.

I’m using it with Export Media Library By Mass Edge Inc.

The directions the dev included are correct: this is not a plugin a general user should rely on and assume is working right, even if it at first appears to be. If you are not prepared to perhaps spend more time debugging than you saved by using this plugin instead of the (reliably working) native uploader in batches of 20, you may be in for some disappointment. After syncing, even if the sync appeared to complete work correctly, you’re going to need to get into the PHP and test every function that you need to work (every context that attachments get called in, etc.) to verify that nothing is broken, and troubleshoot it yourself if it doesn’t.
+1 star because the developer was upfront that this might not work, although I didn’t notice this until it was much too late. Mea culpa.
This is NOT a ‘support request’. I am not asking for help or support in any way. I am stating my impressions of the plugin and experience with it for benefit of other prospective users, IE a “review”, not a “support request”.

Thank you for this awesome free plugin.
Used it today to reconnect my media files – made the site migration very easy and successful.
Nicely Developed – easy to use.
Sorry for those two bad reviews… they don’t reflect this plugin.

Simple interface and easy-to-follow. It does exactly what it says and efficiently too.
One suggestion for improvement would be some way to preview results of test imports.

I love how it just works with little to no configuration

The settings are easy to understand. I love that you can drill down and pick a specific folder to see the media there, and that you can do a dry run without saving changes. It’s really well-thought-out, and perfect if you have the specific need to import media from the filesystem into new records in the database.

Can you make add _msc meta as an option in plugin settings? I wanna keep my database as much lighter as it can, my library contain bunch of custom uploads and store both jpeg/webp version. Other plugins (woocommerce, rankmath…) already add load of row, my current db reach million row of data too soon! Thanks for useful solution!

I upload big media files straight to the server and then use this little beauty to sync it in wordpress otherwise there is no way I can access the file. Thank you for a great plugin!!!
