I’m not sure when this started but seems like it was a recent update (in 2023) that made the gallery larger images no longer close and the only way to view the page is to Refresh. I turned off all other Plugins, and it still did this, so it doesn’t appear to be a Plugin conflict. Can you advise?

Adding images from MLFP not working

I am creating a new gallery and trying to add images from Media Library Folders Pro. I select an image (or multiple) and “Add to Gallery”.

Then in the Gallery, I just get the spinning gif and a message that says “Adding images from media library, this might take a few moments, please wait…”

But nothing ever happens.

I didnt try uninstalling and reinstalling because I don’t want to loose my existing Galleries.

Exporting a Gallery – am I missing something?

I’m trying to export a set of Galleries from Max Galleria Pro, so I can re-import them into a new version of the site.

I have exported the media with MLFP, and exported the Galleries with the WordPress Export tool. The media files have re-imported OK, and the Galleries have been created, but they are empty.

How do I re-populate the Galleries with the original images?
I am clearly missing something in the process!

I would like to keep my users out of the backend, so I have enabled front-end uploading of files using the Media Library Folders Pro. However, my users will still need to access the backend to add these new photos to their MaxGalleria gallery, unless MaxGalleria will simply read the user’s assigned folder.

Can MaxGalleria create a gallery by dynamically reading the files in a folder?

Hi, I just noticed that MG pictures don’t behave as they should and the only way to get them to close after clicking one is to hit F5 for a page refresh. They should scroll and have an X to close them, after clicking a thumbnail and getting the larger image to pop out. The underlying page scrolls just fine, but nothing can be clicked to select something else to get rid of the floating pic plus title. Same behaviour on Win 10 PC and Android phone.

I have rummaged around in settings to no avail, the scroll option is ticked. I wouldn’t know when this weird behaviour started, but it would be handy to find a way to restore more normal behaviour now. Thank you.

I’ve created a MaxGalleria gallery and added images to it. I’ve added the MaxGalleria block in the gutenberg editor. I’ve set the gallery to be the one I just created.

When I preview the draft/saved page…big nada. Nothing displays at all.

What’s going on?

FYI, I’m a license holder. Also, the link to “seek MaxGalleria help on the www.remarpro.com site” in the MaxGalleria site is defined wrong; it simply links to itself, which isn’t too helpful.

Server crashes after I upload more than 50 images

I installed and configured the S3 Plugin to upload the 20000+ images to AWS S3 and now when I upload more than 40 photos the server crashes and I have to reboot it.

I can provide screen shots and video of errors when it happens. Or login to see if you can find a solution.

Upgrade Notification won’t clear

On the backend of our site, the Admin menu is showing one plugin that needs updating.

After a lot of searching, determined it to be MaxGalleria Pro however it is the most current version. If I disable it, the notification goes away. Enable it and it comes back. I emailed Alan and his response was he couldn’t duplicate it and just ignore it.

I don’t like ignoring red notifications. Call it OCD, to me, it’s not a good practice.

Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to track down and resolve the issue? Is there a log or settings file I can search through that may give me an idea why this plugin is generating the notification?

I am having issues with the Gallery function, when putting in the photos the thumbnails do not show up after I update and save with about 100 photos.

I would like to reset everything since I need to rebuild all galleries and may need to do the same with MLFP or if it is suggested that remove then re-add all the plug-ins please let me know. I have had issues since the version upgrade and the license renewal.

Hello,

I am seeing 2 different layouts for the gallery and I’m not sure how to get both galleries to look the same.

I have updated the settings (saved them) and cleared the website cache. I have also regenerated the thumbnails and saved the permalinks.

The gallery works properly on this page:

however the gallery does not appear with the same settings on this page:
https://www.moosejawapartments.ca/rentals/house-rentals/

All of these galleries are using the same layout. Any suggestions on how I can get the house-renatls layout working? Thanks.

Lightbox not working

On one of my client account the lightbox no longer works. I have tried resetting the settings to default and it still does not work. The image opens (no overlay behind it) with no ability to close it whatsoever except refreshing the page. I cannot even use navigation menu once the photo opens. Please help.

Not Seeing All Files in a folder using the “Add Media” Button in text editor

The “Add Media” button in text editor is showing less items in the popup window/file browser than are actually in the folder. If I click on the “Media Library Folders Pro” link on the side bar and navigate to the same folder I see many more files in the same folder – So I am not sure why sometimes I see a different number of items in the same folder – only difference is weather I select the folder via the “Add Media” button in the text editor vs. clicking into the folder from the sidebar nav button “Media Library Folders Pro” in the back end of WordPress

I’m trying to determine if I can have the url’s automatically shortened OR automatically use the Permalink when a visitor shares an image to social media. The easy way to see the long links is to try to share to Twitter. I have read the doc’s and searched the forums but cannot find an answer. I am using the ‘Share this Image’ plugin because I could not find a way to have MaxButtons share images rather than pages and posts.

I am using the latest version of WP, MaxGalleria Pro, Media Library Folders, and all other plugins on a DIVI site.

Hi! I purchased the Every Addon for Maxgalleria. When I select “Slick Slider” then navigate to the options tab, I get a message saying, “Your license expired on April 05, 2022. Renew your license to save or edit galleries, get updates and new features plus support! Renew your license for a discount via Your Account on our Website.” Any ideas how to fix this? When editing a post, in the Gutenberg editor, see the following above the Maxgalleria button:

Sure enough, Maxgalleria.php line 727 shows this deprecated string still in use:

I’m attempting to edit a MaxGalleria gallery by sorting its images using the drag-and-drop feature. Once I’m completed with the sorting changes, I click the “Update” button and the entire gallery reverts all changes I made to it.

Another issue that might be related – I also can’t seem to update the Title / Alt/ Caption. Only the “ALT Text” will stay and the Title and Caption are being deleted.

We haven’t changed themes recently, and I’ve attempted disabling all plugins, removing cache, etc.

Site is using MaxGalleria 6.2.0 and WP 5.6, and PHP 7.3.23.

Gallery edits disappearing

Hi there! We are making galleries for our product pages and the only way we can get the titles to appear is to load them from the image meta info. We need to add links to the corresponding pages though, so when we add the page links, all meta data disappears. When we go to edit the title back into the images, they won’t save. How can this be fixed? Thank you!

Today i started to receive error message when attempting to add or modify any of my Galleries. I disabled my current Theme and enabled the default WP theme, as well as disabled all plugins and then only reenabled my MaxGalleria plugins, but I continue to receive error messages. This occurs on Chrome and Edge browsers.

I can reproduce the error if I try and create a new Image Gallery (any template, doesn’t matter) and then publish. It doesn’t matter if I add an image or not before I try and Publish the Gallery. The following error is the one I get if I try and use the Image Slider template

I upgraded to version 6.0.0.

This upgrade has caused Query Monitor to report the following Database Error:

to show the captions. If I change display:none !important to display:block in dev console it how I want it But when i add the css to my theme the css in image-tiles.css always overrides my custom css. Even manually adding it just before doesnt work.
If i edit the original ccs file it works but dont want to do that as it will most likely be overwritten next update.
Any way around it?

Hi
I am getting console errors for every gallery on the page.
Error is
https://mydomain.uk/wp-content/mg-styles/mg-2510.css?ver=9858207d9759d688bcac4cc9ea3e6e6c net::ERR_ABORTED 404 (Not Found)

with a different css file on every gallery. There is no folder created called mg-styles.

I have turned off my cache plugin to no avail.
Any ideas?
