I am not the biggest fan of google maps. It’s too bad mapquest hasn’t kept up with this, I think they would have a nice following.

It looks as though this plugin has been abandoned as the last support request is over a year old but, since it is still listed on the MapQuest site as the official WordPress plugin I thought I’d give this a shot. I am running MapQuest Map Builder 1.0.5 on WordPress 3.6.1 and getting “No maps found for this post.” on posts and pages that do have maps generated by this plugin. Any advice?

I’ve installed the plugin and when I go to a page to insert the map I click on the icon and I can see the map but with a black transparent background on it. I can’t click on any option.

]]>When I try to edit an existing map, it comes up in an overlay like a lightbox, but it stays darkened and I cannot edit the map at all. Nothing is clickable.

]]>Hi i am running WP 3.3.1 and Map builder 1.0.5 – I have freshly installed WP and the Map Builder plugin 3 times and it looks like it is boken. I have tried it on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
On initial install of plugin there was no buttons in the editor for accessing map builder features. I found the settings for the plugin and turned on show in side bar, which it did, but when pressing the create new map button nothing happens.
In the editor for posts and pages the editing button have gone after plugin was installed.
Aslo it seems to block all pop ups and makes WP non functional.
It would be great to get this plugin working as it looks like it has a really nice set of features

]]>We have found an issue currently affecting the map builder plug-in that’s preventing the creation of new maps due to an issue with the options and return of the URL. We’re working on a fix and will update this thread as soon as it is resolved.

]]>I see that when you click “View Larger Map”, it expands to a full page, and addresses marked are listed on the left, and the corresponding marker pop up does it’s thing when you hover your mouse over the address on the left.
Is there any way to incorporate that with the smaller map, if I have addresses listed in a left hand column and the (smaller) map in the right column? In other words, make it work that way within my site, on my page, rather than a full Mapquest page?
I’m developing a site for a rental properties outfit, and the homepage lists properties on the left, linking to each individual property post, and has a map on the right, with the popups and links to the posts for each property. If I could get the hover left —> popup on right to work on the homepage that would be awesome!

]]>This has been broken since 3.2. At first it was the fact that the plugin accidentally removed the TinyMCE from the HTML mode in writing a post or page. Then it was that by 3.3 that the plugin stopped bringing up the map when you click on the TinyMCE button in visual mode.

]]>In my case, using both the browser uploader and the flash uploader this plugin causes the notable white screen of death people refer to in various forums regarding insert into post problems. sample here. Images will be uploaded but not inserted using the visual editor. editing with html is not a problem but is not pleasing to my client who is not versed in any html programming.

I have signed in to maquest and begun adding pins to a saved map.
I want to use the custom pins – how do I do that?
I also want to add this saved map with my pins to my wordpress site but when I click on ‘Insert map’ in my editor a new map opens up. How can I direct to my saved map?
I also want to include a list of my locations underneath the map on my website that refers back to the pins on the map – how do I do that?

]]>Static maps were working displaying fine last night, now nothing but a mq image. I can create a new static image map using the plugin, code appears in post, when I preview change or update, map does not display. If I save as a dynamic map it works fine, but as I said, static maps were displaying just fine less than 24 hours ago.
]]>The Mapquest plugin blocks all the buttons of the TinyMCE Bar. I had to remove Mapquest to have the buttons working again. Mapquest buttons do not work either.
I have tested it on the lastest releases of Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
I have never faced this kind of problem with an extension.
