I am looking for a map of the world where people can drop a pin where they live on their own, without my help.
Also, it might be helpful if visitors could click on a pin and see who Iives there (name and city only; in this way, visitors can find someone nearby to get help). This is not a high priority.
It would be great if my pin could look different as the originator of the topic people are dropping pins for.
If people CAN drop pins on their own (as opposed to emailing me where they live, and then I drop the pin for them), would this plug-in prevent unrelated people bots from dropping pins on the map and making a mess of things?
I realize there are a lot of questions here, but there are a LOT of pin-map plug-ins, and I need to narrow the field. The link to see the demo goes to scissorbox.com and needs to be removed, unless it can link to a video that shows how the plug-in works.
Thank you.

]]>Hi – When we first downloaded the plugin the map did appear, now I can only get to it through viewing the page via “Map Descriptions,” or all of the different map pins we’ve recreated. All the pins appear on the world map correctly, but the map itself is just grey. Can you help?
Thanks!

Also, I see this plugin is tagged with “Responsive” but neither of the demos on the author’s site were responsive. Is this plugin responsive or not?

]]>Sorry I am kind of new to this but here is my question. I have the following code in my stylesheet for word press,
div.entry-content img { /* adds rounded corners and shadow to images */
box-shadow: 5px 5px 15px #000000;
-webkit-box-shadow: 5px 5px 15px #000000;
-moz-box-shadow: 5px 5px 15px #000000;
border:1px #777 solid;
border-radius:10px;
}
This makes the images on my website have a nice rounded corner with a shadow. The problem is, it also makes the map tiles in the google map do the same thing. I know there is likely something I can add to my stylesheet to stop this problem but I cannot figure out what it is. Can someone help?
thank you.

]]>After reading the documentation, I’m still in-the-dark about how to include a particular custom map location in a post.
The documentation says:
To place your map, simply use the following shortcode:
[custom-mapping height=”700px” width=”960″]
This shows a google maps window with the default location centered. How do I specify (in this post) which location will be centered? As in, a location that is not the default? Can you please provide an example?
Thanks.
