I was in contact with Josh Sears in the past and something (I have no clue what has happend to him) has changed all and he is not getting back in touch with we (same for others, obviously.) The most disapointing thing is that the situation on this project Mapify Pro is quite intransparent and no official announcement has been released by him. So sad and quite unprofessional. All was fine, but something has made Josh stop working on his project. No idea what and why. He has to let his customers know of course.
The most annyoing thing is that he tried it to offer support. BUt actually there is NO SUPPORT AT ALL! Is was in touch with him via Facebook and once I asked if he is going to offer support, he stopped talking and said I will get no support at all and he is ending the conversation. Quite rude, isn′t it? Weired in general as he was willing to help several years ago, but actually is not able to even put some light into it. He was asking about access details, to offer help, but he didn′t logged in at all. Guys, just delete any ftp and access data you provided to Josh Sears (and support staff if this was not a fake support staff) seems to be a high security risk. I have deleted all his requested support access, just to be sure.
Guys, the Mapify Project is DEAD, obviously. Lets discuss what you are using now to replace Mapify?? Any ideas? It was a pain in the past, maybe you guys have a good WP plugin that can act as a storefinder?

I bought the plugin for $ 49 in april. No support for month.
Suddenly, monthly payments were made. No answers from developers.

We purchased MapifyPro and the API key would not work. Despite 3 months of support tickets, Facebook messaging, and emails to PaperTelevision we received no response. Well, that’s not true – I did get once FB message apologizing for the delay but then radio silence for another month.
I would avoid this product at all costs – though at least I was issued a refund.

Bait and switch tactic, they switched to a monthly plan without any warning. All attempts to reach out to the customer support went without any answer. SCAM, DO NOT TRUST.

I bought it on may 18, 2017. I contacted Josh Sears through support June 9th after trying to figure out if there were any javascript conflicts and trying to make the software work. I have not gotten any response from anyone. So I have a $49 developer Mapify Pro that does not work and no one to help me fix it.

Purchased the product and it kinda worked. Then a year later, without warning, I was charged the full price again. Then, they randomly decided to make the product a monthly subscription without proper notice.
DO NOT BUY. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I’ve never been more frustrated with a vendor than this one and I would strongly recommend anyone against purchasing. No wonder he hides his Google Business listing from Google – so that no one can make a review. This is the first site i’ve found to make my opinion known. He even deletes comments on his facebook page if he doesn’t like them. He showcased our map on his Facebook page but it began having issues where the markers would move to the center of map when rolled over with popup making it very difficult to use. We did a lot of our own testing to figure out the problem and found that the map was displaying like on a mobile device on all laptops when using a custom map background, whereas the desktops display fine. It is simply a viewport issue. We asked him to fix this several times so that it displays the same on a laptop like desktop but he just stopped answering our emails and deletes our comments on facebook. DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This product is useless without the PRO version BUT…
Even though their website says: *Money Back Guarantee: We’re really proud of our software and we’re pretty sure you’re going to love it too. However if you don’t love it, then we will honor a full refund if requested within 5 days of purchasing any of our plugins or themes.
It’s a lie! I requested a refund, they agreed… BUT … then have ignored my emails ever since – I sent a total of 9 emails to them asking about status of my refund and every single email has been ignored.
Can’t use the product and cant get my money back – they are liars and thieves.
Just another morally and ethically corrupt business.
I ended up using WP Store Locator which is better anyway and it is free:

It is not possible to leave the pin area with the mouse without loosing the pop up info of that pin – means you can not put a link in the description and click that because as soon as you leave the pin with your mouse the pop up closes. This is not useful.
Every user wants to click the pin and then get information about it. What is it worth to see the pins, hover the pins but not being able to go to that information of this locsation? totally useless.

Mapify Light is quite limiting and the user is continually encouraged to purchase Mapify Pro.
However potential users should be aware that Mapify Pro is a subscription based service and the user has to make annual payments otherwise the software stops working.
Purchase Terms located below the suppliers payment button state the following … “Note that all of our software includes a year of tech support, upgrades, and free features when we add them. Your payment is for these services, and not actually MapifyPro itself. You may cancel your service anytime to prevent auto-renewal from your member area. This is structured this way to remain in compliance of the Google Maps Terms of Service”
Despite stating you can use the version you paid for indefinitely, the software will deactivate without warning if you do not pay the annual subscription.
If considering using Mapify make sure you are happy to keep paying before you commit to creating maps and map locations. You will not be able to use your work if you do not pay.

This is a great, basic plugin that lets you easily add Google Maps to your site with a simple shortcode, but also adds additional useful features. I personally needed photos on my map, and this plugin let’s you add an entire gallery of photos on each location, as well as a video. Then of course is the image mode, which renders the map in a really cool Google-like tile set with lots of zoom levels that all look crisp and clear. It really sells the illusion that the image map is just like a Google map. Neat.
