Manual Image Crop seems good to me as well it still works for me but I think this plugin should be updated for few reasons. I hope Tomasz Sita will take care of it very soon.

hi,,
is it possible to set min width and height for crop and also maximum height and width for crop.
i want to set minimum and maximum width for image crop. so user not able to crop low then specific height and width. for exmpl. minimum crop size is 150×150 so when user try to minimize more it do not minimize after 150x150px and same for maximize so it do not maximize after 300pxx300px width…
thanks in advance..

Working on high traffic news websites, this plugin is the essential for fine image processing.

Doesn’t seem to work with add_image_size when used with a child theme’s function.php using code like below:
/*---------------------------------------------*/
/* ADD CUSTOM IMAGE SIZES
/*---------------------------------------------*/
if ( function_exists( 'add_image_size' ) ) {
add_image_size( 'facebook-image-page', 470, 470 );
}
add_filter( 'image_size_names_choose', 'insert_custom_image_sizes' );
function insert_custom_image_sizes( $sizes ) {
global $_wp_additional_image_sizes;
if ( empty($_wp_additional_image_sizes) )
return $sizes;
foreach ( $_wp_additional_image_sizes as $id => $data ) {
if ( !isset($sizes[$id]) )
$sizes[$id] = ucfirst( str_replace( '-', ' ', $id ) );
}
return $sizes;
}

I think that the developer has stopped maintaining this plugin. Noone responds to support requests, and it stopped working for me.

A brilliant plugin! Thanks a lot to the author!
]]>Rating: 1 star
It says “image has been cropped” and it does nothing.

I used this on my site and only thing that lacking is Zoom In/Out feature like Facebook or Whatsapp Crop. Otherwise this is best. ??

Installed and didnt work.
Had the same problem than this issue : Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid regular expression: missing /
that also doesnt have any solution
Also the settings of the plugin show only the title of the options but no input fields to change

Super simple front end and works seamlessly with my back end. Great job!
Detected my custom image size and lets me crop as required. Also retains the full image so you can go back and re-crop.
I don’t normally get excited about using plugins, but I’m defo. using this again.

plugin has worked well for us for over a year, now endless issues with black images, it fails to crop on top four option and sometimes on feature image – is a new version that fixes this about to come out, or do we have to find a new plugin?

Works well, thanks for made it !

Try to crop, seems successful, but the image keeps its original proportions when posted. This is an old issue. So far on v1.10, it was not solved.

Wasn’t working quite right for me the first time I tried it, but with the latest version the author fixed the issue and it’s now a perfect addition to all my sites. Saves having to create multiple versions of images in PhotoShop first and then upload to the site, just to be able to control the cropping between sizes. Now I can use one image upload for all cases. Clients love it too. Finally, complete control of the images they upload.

Huge timesaver!

This isn’t working. I select a crop and the outcome isn’t what I chose – either the ratio or the position. A critical failure for a photography-based website.

Nice, simple plugin, does what it’s supposed to, I was enjoying using it for a while until I noticed that some of my crops were disappearing. I like everything about it except for this destructive bug.
Bug filed here:

If you’re not happy with the automatic crop WP is applying, this plugin will let you fix the crop in that one image size, leaving the other image sizes alone. Works very well.

Works great. This is a very useful plugin for anyone using featured images.

Works as advertised! Is perfect for my needs.

Couple this with setting and using intelligent image sizes for the custom themes you create and you can really allow your clients to easily manipulate how the images they upload appear on the site. All around extremely good.

Super easy interface and the results are that designers now have fantastic control over every image crop, custom or otherwise. The only flaw is that the popup where the work is done doesn’t have a “save” button, only an X in the upper right. Don’t click that, just hit “ESC” after you’ve done all your cropping.
Where’s the paypal donate button?
