Apart from not being updated, this plugin stores the code in NON-STANDARD areas in the DB. Result – screwed up websites that will not restore properly! THIS IS A DREADFUL PIECE OF CODING, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS!!!!!!

I had followed a more manual method using custum code and css, but it did not work out well. This plugin was simple and effective and worked with dynamic fields which was essential. Thank you!

Have used this little gem on multiple sites now, however, this is still not WPML compatible.

Does just what it says. This functionality should be part of core Elementor. Thanks to the author for creating and maintaining it.

Working nice, opening in new tab will be greater

Thanks for the plug-in, great for setting background images in columms and making the whole thing clickable statically or dynamically with custom fields.
Any possibility of updating the URL to show the link? Also noticed you can’t open a new tab from the link, as you could from a “normal” link.

Absolutely love this – as others have said a necessary and yet missing addition to the excellent Elementor plugin.
But! Wordfence has now marked this plugin as follows:
Medium Severity Problems:
* The Plugin “Make Column Clickable Elementor” appears to be abandoned (updated 12th October 2019, tested to WP 5.2.12).
Of course, this plugin works fine (always has) but if the developer wants to either fling out a new version or mark on their description that this Wordfence ‘problem’ can be safely ignored and marked as such then I guess it is up to them…
Anyway thanks again for this plugin.

Seamless common sense functionality that was missing from Elementor. Thanks!

This plugin is a God send! If you have a section/block containing separate images and text that should all be clickable to the same content, then simply make the containing column clickable! The first time you use it you’ll know what a piece of cake this plugin is!
Fwiw since I just found this myself: Next to the url entry spot is a small cog icon…click that and select for the link to open in a new window/tab or add a ‘nofollow’ entry if you like.

Thank you! You saved me. Elementor is great, but in some places is incomprehensible.

Thank you for your work.

Thanks for this, it should be in Elementor already but you have filled that gap, awesome and your work is appreciated.
Reminds me of that animated movie Robots, see a need, fill a need. Perfect ??

Simple and does what it says.

Great plugin, does what it promises. Can’t understand why it’s not in elementor itself. Thanks for taking the time to develop it.

Works great except it’s not perfect.
Fernando – how do you get the clickable column to also show “open in new tab” when right-clicked?
