When I delete a user from my system, the user’s account in mailchimp does not get deleted/unsubscribed.

Hi,

I am using the free version of your plugin at the moment and I am trying to signup new users using the method posted here: https://www.mc4wp.com/kb/add-subscribe-checkbox-custom-form/

I have added the code to a custom php/html form and the checkbox appears but the new user does not get added to mailchimp automatically when registering.

Any ideas what the issue is please?

I have a user Date field called End of Contract [ENCONTRACT] but it will not show up or update on MailChimp.

I’m using MailChimp User Sync 17.7. The automatic synchronization doesn’t work anymore. I read that the plugin was no longer followed is it related to that? Should I simply upgrade to the premium version to fix the problem?

In the premium version, are new WordPress users automatically added in Mailchimp or is it impossible?

I can currently see here that you are up to version 4.8.6 and the difference between versions scares me a little.

I am using Mailchimp User Sync to automatically add new users from my site to my Mailchimp list, However, I find that the auto sync function is not processed.
Even I start the sync function manually, it only update the existing data in the email system. The new data in the wordpress is not added into the email system. Is there other steps need to do?

I have a Mailchimp account (free account) and I have the free version of MC4WP and I can see in the integrations options the Registration form is integrated and active.

However, the new users registered in my website are not showing up in the Mailchimp account.

Is there any issues or problems to solve to sync the new users to Mailchimp?

What is the meaning of the line in the log:
“Webhook: Request of type subscribe received for user [ID HERE]”

The 2 lines related to the user are:
[2019-10-18 15:41:35] INFO: Webhook: Request of type profile received for user #101102
[2019-10-18 17:27:11] INFO: Webhook: Request of type subscribe received for user #101102

Does that mean a subscriber was added manually to Mailchimp and that information has been being synced back to my website? (I have added the Mailchimp webhook as per below)

If you want to synchronize changes in your Mailchimp list back to your WordPress database then you will have to configure a webhook in your Mailchimp account.

Is your plugin compatible with Mailchimp’s “Mailchimp for Woocommerce” plugin? E.g. can I have both installed?

In a similar question, Mailchimp’s official plugin adds a lot of page weight and is expensive in terms of processor load. Can you explain some of the features that your plugin does not provide that Mailchimp for Woocommerce does? I’m thinking of uninstalling that one, and getting yours instead.

I have a wordpress site with custom registration and profile page. I have two sets of users one is set is of users imported from an old website plus another set of users who registered on the new site.
I have mailchimp integration on the custom registration page as well as profile page. The new users on registration are added to the mailchimp. However, when the new users or the old ones update their profile (subscribe/unsubscribe) the changes are not reflected in mailchimp.
On manual user sync all the users are added to mailchimp whether or not they opted for it. Also the status of all users in the ’email marketing’ column in mailchimp is changed to unsubscribed.

I created “Email Registration” tag on mailchimp backend and added this code to my functions.php

My Mailchimp list is synced to user role contributor.
Now I changed user role for many users to subscriber. But they are not unsubscribed, this just happens when I delete them as WP users.
Should they not be subscribed after changing user role?

An answer would be great…

Hello,

I try to sync new WP users to mailchimp, but when i manually create a new user, he is not added to my mailchimp subscriber.
In the logs, i have a positive log for creation : [2019-09-26 20:09:00] INFO: User Sync > Successfully subscribed user 374 (poul*****@hu******.com)
But in that mailbox, i don’t receive the mailchimp confirmation email (double opt in) and so the user is not added showing up on the mailchimp list…

Do you have an idea on what’s going on?

How long does it take from the time the user hits “submit” until they are in the MailChimp audience database? And then how long before they show as a WP subscriber in WP?

I think the plugin has, since a May update, caused a problem in load.php. I am getting error messages on the hour every hour (therefore probably caused by a CRON job) which read
PHP Notice: Undefined index: SERVER_PROTOCOL in /var/www/vhosts/radioverulam.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/load.php on line 16

If I deactivate the plugin the messages stop

Thanks for a great plug in.
I am using this plug in to automatically add our new Registered Wholesale Customers to our Mailchimp Newsletter list.
It works fine adding newly approved “Customer” roles to Mailchimp with First Name and Last Name and Email details.
I now need to have the business name added as well. We are using a Wholesale Register Form and I have added the form field entry to the “Send Additional Fields”. (See image attached)

However, when this field is added the First Name and the Last Name no longer get added to Mailchimp .. only business name and email appear on Mailchimp.

Can you advise what I may have missed?

My website offers a subscription service using WooSubscriptions.

Registered users on our site are given the role “Customer” and registered users who become subscribers are given the role “Subscriber.”

Does this plugin make it possible to:

1) Add a tag to contacts in MailChimp based on the change of a user role in WP/WooCommerce? Or add a contact to a group based on the change of a user role in WP/WooCommerce?

AND

2) Remove a tag from a contact in Mailchimp based on the change of a user role? Or remove a contact from a group based on the change of a user role in WP/WooCommerce?

An example to illustrate how we’d use this: A Customer becomes a Subscriber in WooCommerce. We’d want them to receive certain campaigns from Mailchimp. If they cancel their subscription with us, they’d go from Subscriber back to Customer in their user role within WordPress/Woo. If this occurs, we’d want the contact information in Mailchimp, whether a tag or inclusion in a group, to be updated immediately and automatically so that the canceled subscriber no longer receives certain email campaigns. We’re hoping to use this plugin to automate the management of tagging (or grouping) contacts as active subscribers versus customers.

However, I also want to automatically add the email addresses of all job applicants to the same Mailchimp list – is this possible?
So, just to clarify, I want to automatically sync all new users (advertisers) AND all new job applications to a Mailchimp list.

I have tested the plugin and when I make a change to the user’s email or name or address from the WordPress dashboard, I would expect to have only this data change in MailChimp. But none of the data changes, only subscription status changes to subscribe/unsubscribe in MailChimp.
Am I doing something wrong or have I misunderstood the purpose of this plugin?

Does this plugin create users?

When people sign up using the embedded form code straight from Mailchimp, WordPress users are being created – which we don’t want.

Is that caused by this plugin, or something else.

I’ve installed WPML on my website, so it’s multilanguage.
I have also installed mc4wp-wpml, so I can connect mailchimp forms to a different list based on the language active on the site.
There is only one step left for the mailchimp sync to be compatible with WPML.

I would like to sync users to the lists asigned by mc4wp-wpml based on the language active on the site when they log/opt in.

It could be add a field to store the user language and in the sync page, place a select control to choose a language and automatically sync those users that match the selected language.

I know that this is not an actual feature, but It will be a great add to this addon.

I’ve been using the plugin for a long time, and was wondering why my list never grew. It turns out that this plugin hasn’t been automatically syncing. I just did a manual process (which takes a long time), and the size of my list in Mailchimp doubled. Why doesn’t this plugin automatically sync, like it promises to do?
