Hello,
Since yesterday I notice problems login to wp-admin using the option Magic Password. When attempting to scan the QR-code in the app I get an error “Cannot connect with service”. This occurs with multiple sites with multiple devices.
Do you experience some problems at this moment with your service?
WordPress 5.3.2
Magic Password: 1.5.0
Kind regards,
Ivar
Hi,
There is one thing I don’t understand. I got different users and everyone of them have to be recognised so that we know who posted what and we know who we chat with… how does magic password recognise each person since there are no info added or options to say who is who? I must be missing something because so far when I try everybody log wordpress with my admin account. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
Hi community,
I am not sure, if your plugin is helpful with my special question. I want to create this:
1) A QR-code ist created and printed on a flyer.
2) If anybody scans the QR-Code with his smartphone the person is logged in (e. g. as contributor or translator) and directly sent to a site where he receives further information.
Could you please tell me, if that is possible with your plugin?
Thanks
Raphael
User had a problem to login – so I reseted the password but could not find an option to reset the pairing process.
thanks
Andreas
use case:
* user is member of a group which requires magic password
* user has activated and used the magic password
* administrator has changed user to other role which does not require magic password
I receive the following error message:
Logging in with login and password is disabled for this account.
Tried using Magic Pass to log in to WordPress on my iPad but I got a message I had not seen before in a pop-up. It said: “Something went wrong. Please try to refresh this page.” with this underneath “Subscription error (403)”.
I tried to refresh the page but kept doing the same thing. Please advise. Thank you!
]]>I have implemented Magic Password in an intranet site and for all users having access to WP Admin it works fine. I also want to have users not having access to WP Admin to pair their devices by themselves. This usergroup doesn’t have access to WP Admin so they cannot pair a device by scanning the QR-code created in the backend.
This usergroup can edit their profile using extension Ultimate Member. Is it possible to use a shortcode to show the pairing QR-code in their profile?
]]>After installing Magic Password random pages would give a message such as, “You need a higher level of permission.
Sorry, you are not allowed to list users” or “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”.
I am the site administrator so permissions are allowed. After refreshing the pages, usually 3 times, I was allowed to do the action I desired. Direction on this would be greatly appreciated.
]]>Hello,
Please stop doing this in your code: require_once ABSPATH . ‘wp-includes/pluggable.php’;
If you a function doesn’t exist in runtime it’s mean you need to wrap your logic inside of a proper hook.
The method you are using is a bad practice and causing a lot of conflicts with plugins trying to overide the pluggable functions.

How can I fix it?
Hey,
I need to translate this plugin in my language (Brazilian Portuguese).
Thanks.
]]>Hello! Is there a way to display the QR Code in any other page, via shortcode for example?
Thanks in advance…

hi,
i seem to be getting a conflict with
https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wpmu-dev-dashboard/
it is enforcing css on elements with the .content class.
The file where the css is located has the path ;
/wp-content/plugins/magic-password/assets/scss/includes/_content.scss
the .content class is pretty common with other plugins
as well to show content.
possibly you can just change the SCSS line
to make sure the css is specific to the selector in your plugin only ?
kind regards.
]]>I can’t get your plugin to work.
When I go to settings page, it immediately shows me error “server error occured. Please to refresh your page”.
And it stays like this.
When I scan the QR code, it gives “unknown error” message in mobile app.

Where is this server error coming from? It’s your server?
