Needed something that I as a dev and our clients could manage custom fields for specific types of content, and this plug-in proved to be exactly what I was looking for. Easy to set up, clean UI, easy to style on the backend. Leaves some want for customizing the UI for writers (size of text boxes and areas; easier implementation of
s and <p> in boxes), but no the less, met our needs.

I’ve been using custom fields for years. Of the various custom post type and custom field solutions I’ve used over the years, truly this is one of the most aggravating.

It is true that it is full featured plugin, but good luck understanding their documentation. All front-end functions are described in a single dense and poorly articulated document.

The time I’ve spent troubleshooting how to use this plugin easily outweighs any benefit from it’s use.

If your time has any value at all, save some money and just pay for Advanced Custom Fields.
