Hi! I’m experiencing a weird display of my css styles when using the Alert Shortcode. For some reason, it overrides the body classes of the page where the shortcode is used, and my custom fonts are switched to fallback fonts, and the font-weight and font-size (who knows what else) are altered, too. I’m using Kadence theme. Any hint? Thank you!

I would like to request a feature to be able to limit the use of these shortcodes to certain user roles, which codes are allowed in that role, and if they can use it in pages and/or posts.

If the user does not have the required role and they add the shortcode to their page/post anyway, it simply does not display anything (so as to not expose the shortcode text to the public).

The Advanced Custom Fields Plugin (ACF) have a Time Field which displays a Time Picker when the field takes the focus.
But when Magee Shortcodes is enabled, the Time Fields shows a whole Date & Time Picker instead only a Time one. The Date & Time picker are still visible when the focus takes out of the Time Field. So the Time Fields of ACF are unusable when Magee Shortcodes is enabled.

When y use the QR Code Shortcode it doen’t work, creating a broken image (the broken image icon that navigators shows when an image don’t exist).
This happens even in the preview button on the shortcode generator.

Downloaded free Alchem business WordPress theme that uses this plugin. Breaks with WordPress 5.5. Have to use jQuery Migrate Helper to patch.

I like the available shortcodes on this Magee plugin but it’s unusable. There’s no scroller control on editor modal. User can’t scroll down to get insert button, unless user reduce screen size to 50%.

I’m using WP 4.9.8

And I can register to support forum. It seems not supported anymore….

your plugin does not work when the wordpress editor is shown in frontend (for example for wordpress post forms).

So, if you don′t want to make it work in front, you should also not show the button (it′s just a UNuseable button in frontend that does not do anything.

The Magee shortcodes user manual mentions the possibility to have a toggle mode for accordions (multiple open elements) – for now when I open one element, the other open one closes automatically. Any clue on how I could change this?

Magee has not responded to anyone in this forum in over 6 months. The shortcodes as a free version do not work as shows on Magee’s demo site. Does anyone know if the shortcodes work if you buy Pro? And since it is open source, has anyone ever edited the shortcode?

Couple of things I noticed with my recent install:

1. My images are not resolving for your shortcode. I cannot say it is the shortcode’s fault for certain, but other solutions are resolving. I have a ton of plugins in this site to keep it running, we could be in conflict AND my version of WP is 4.7.3 and I noticed you have not cleared that yet. WP may have changed something on you, so let us know if you find anything out.

2. When you can select and image to display in a shortcode, your upload button always takes me to my Gallery first. But there is no way back from the gallery with the image in tow so what I have to do is open another tab with the gallery, find my image, grab it’s permalink and then manually load it to the shortcode. Might be something to look at in the future.

Even though they are not quite working the way I thought – these shortcodes are really inspiring and I look forward to using them for a long time!

I am using the theme One Tone with latest version of WP. I added new sections in the theme. I tried to upload magee shortcodes in each section but nothing shows up. I would be grateful if you could help me !

Your plugin is the only one I found that enables the creation of static timelines, and it would be great if it offered a vertical layout as well (ie, a vertical line with dates on the left and content on the right).

The last I heard the only browser that didn’t support a feature of CSS multiple columns was Firefox, and apparently they have something again column-span. What do you have against it?

Unexpected critical issue:
I have nicely working WP. When trying to activate Magee ShortCodes I unexpectedly got “white screen”. (I used Magee Shortcodes on other WP website with no problems, so it was surprising).

Enabling WP_DEBUG I can see these errors:

After installing the magee plugin for my zerif lite theme, the responsive mobile menu can’t stay open. Everytime I clicked on the menu, it would temporarily flash the menu items and then collapse back immediately.

We really liked the magee plugin, but not being able to open the menu on mobile device is a deal breaker for us.

Please help. We are looking to launch the website in the next couple of days.

I need some help. I’m a web guy so I’ve tried to track this down.
At my site I cannot get the contact mageewp shortcode to work.
It says it sent the email but it never does. (I’m not dumb enough to have not checked spam).
Also, when I go to plugins in wordpress it says “Activate” under mageewp shortcodes. I click it.
It then says “Plugin activated” at the top, but still “Activate” below it in the list. Perhaps it’s not really activating it?

Also, where is the code that fires when you click submit. In the shortcode I don’t see a reference to any action.
And I’ve searched the plugin folder and cannot find anything that lets me know where the email sending code is.

I have inserted Magee Shortcodes to utilise the Accordion. Have successfully used on a couple of pages and looks good, however noting it does not work at all when using mobile (i.e. the text is appearing exactly how it had done prior to me changing it).

Also I have noted a black border appearing on either side – both on desktop and mobile. It’s not unsightly, just random.

From viewing other threads, I see that both issues are likely due to conflicts from other plugins or the theme. Unsure however where to start (I didn’t build the site originally, so can’t be sure exactly what has been inserted particularly with mobile responsive aspects).

Any thoughts would be appreciated! ??
