For some reason now it just is not working for custom fields at all… This must not be compatible with ACF…
]]>I was wondering if there was a way to offer custom taxonomy but have one pre-selected, and be able to hide the visibility of that section. I am sure I can figure it out but I was wondering if there was already a built in feature for this?
This would be like, having a certain event category selected, when making an event, instead of them seeing all the event categories.
]]>Your plugin allows visitors to post but not featured images. So I autologin the users as an author. Every post they make becomes draft or pending review – i decide thru your plugin settings.
When I check them in the dashboard there is no author associated with them. How can I get the author to be set to the post?
More important when a real users signs up for an account (we are going to prompt them but make optional) and then makes a post, when we publish it, we will have to manually set the author. It would be MUCH better if the author was able to be retained when the post becomes published.

I am trying to setup a simple front end form to submit a post, and allow users to insert media into their post content. Problem I am having is that while I can insert media (using the tinymce) while using the form. Once it’s submitted and I view the post, the media or links to the media simply don’t display. I did initially try the ‘media_buttons’ method, but they didn’t respond at all in the front end.
I only just updated to WordPress 4.9.4 (previously 4.7.9) both with the same result.
Any direction on this would be greatly appreciated.

I do not understand your comment for placing the Editing Link. “Should be placed within loop.” [mage_edit id=5] (id5 being the page id the form is on
Where does the shortcode go. I have tried placing it on the page where the form is and I get a 404 when i create a post through the front end.
I have also tried placing it on an independent page but nothing is output there either.
I am not a programmer so I hope it does not need putting in the php!

When I’m connected to wordpress, (as admin for example) the upload buttons for “featured image” and “attachment” are visible and functionnal. When I’m a simple visitor, I can’t see the buttons anymore.
How could I do to allow my visitors to upload content ?

My form works like a charm when I’m connected as admin, but when I’m a simple visitor, the post is sent and published, but not the proposed category. I would like that visitors can publish and categorize their pots! Could you help me ? Perhaps i missed something in the conf ?

Anyway I would like to ask a question:
My users have user meta field: user_cat_ID , which stores value of post category ID. They can only read this category or all posts they can create will have category (ID) set by user_cat_ID value.
Therefore I tried to do this by code inserted to Mage form or WordPress page, but it did not work:

BTW – When I inseted form on page, CSS of theme was kept…It was great, because I do not like to use other than theme CSS for forms. Is there any way how to ignore Mage css style ?

If I upload a file I can see it in the form but, when I open the post, I don’t find the uploaded file.

When using the edit button on a page, the shortcode for the form is visible in the content area. I’m worried that users may delete or alter the shortcode by mistake and break the form. Is it possible for it to be hidden from the users?

For example (and only 1 example of many) is what is the short code to put address fields in that will input the text into the map address field from the frontend? so that when they input their address into the form it creates a map for that address.

]]>Hey, I would like to notice you, that the custom post type is still not working. Im musing custom fields to create the custom fields and they arent showing.
While checking the DB I found those following errors:
in table wp_postmeta your meta_key is wrong. While it should be the name of the custom_field we use, you use.
Example:
I name one custom field- download. So the metakey for it should also be download. But when I check my DB, the metakey for your mage form is :cast (this is the first error) and the other is the inside of it. All custom fields are starting with mage_ prefix which is also wrong. The inside should be just the content of the metakey.
I suggest to rework the custom fields. Thanks alot!
