I guess I should have done more research before I dropped the 27.00 bucks for the premium version. Could not get it to work at all, tried everything including emailing the developer and posting on his Forum which if you check has not been looked at in over 10 months. Chalk one up for a lesson learned.

I use mailchimp for my newsletter, and i tried 5 or 6 other popup plugins, and they either didn’t work or did not look good. This plugin was SO easy to setup and it looks very professional. I would highly recommend. Saved me so much stress and time.

Despite the author’s claims, this plug in WILL NOT WORK with Mailchimp. I posted on the support forum and no answer. Don’t waste your time or money on this plug in until the bugs are worked out.

As you can see on the reviews, this plugin works perfectly BUT

1. not responsive
2. slow response from support site – it will take ages
3. terrible design template

First of all, the documentation is a JOKE. All of the things promised in the premium version has NO documentation on how to do it.

I’m trying to have an image be the trigger for the pop-up – AS ADVERTISED – and there is no way to do this via settings or in the terrible document that comes with your order.

The pop-up is not responsive – if you use HTML pop-up, you will need to hunt around and then GIVE UP trying to find how to control the CSS of this plugin.

Just terrible. I’m out $27 and 2+ hours. I posted to the forum. Who knows when I’ll get a reply?

I bought the premium version of this plugin. My first issue was getting the ability to add an HTML form. The plugin author responded rather quickly and after a couple rounds he helped me set things so I could enter an HTML form.

But the plugin never really performed as promised. Meaning… the time-delay never seemed to work –it would pop up instantly on page load. The ‘wait til bottom of page’ seemed to work briefly, then started instantly popping up again or not at all (and yes I did set things so the cookies should have allowed it to display again).

I played around with it for hours and was unable to get it to work correctly. I’m not a novice, I do professional web dev work (meaning I have HTML. PHP, JS coding know-how –not that I dug into the guts of this thing, because I thought I was paying NOT to have to do that), and yet I was unable to get it to work as advertised.

To top it off, the plugin author then just stopped responding when I asked for a refund, so I’m out the $27 and still looking for a solution. Doesn’t seem very interested in providing the support necessary for serious plugins.

I’m giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because the author actually did respond…for a while. And before leaving a crappy comment, like you do some of your other reviewers, I waited literally MONTHS for you to respond. Done waiting.

Installed this for a client who wanted a popup to appear when visitors access a particular page of their site. Ended up purchasing the premium version since they wanted a bit more functionality. You do need to know a bit of HTML and CSS code in order to get the popup looking nice, but it works exactly as expected. The popup looks very slick in place on my client’s site.

I just purchased the “Pro” version of this upgrade for $27.00. And, I am wondering just what I got for that price. Oh there are a couple more options, but where is the customization of your forms information? No documentation how to delete list or bullet items. No documentation on how customize the look-n-feel. These should all be easy to use options on the page. They are NOT there! Where are options for specific user actions to trigger such as a specific % of page scrolled. Feeling like somebody got some easy money just now ??

I activated the plugin and input all the required info and it doesn’t pop up on my main page and I only have a short code to use. Can someone tell me what is wrong?

This plugin never worked. There’s no real instructions on how to set this up. There’s only a link to a huge forum where none of the posts where people complain the plugin doesn’t work are answered. The developer may ask some of them for a url to their site, but never posts a simple answer or provide general instructions on how to use the plugin. Waste of time!

The WPPopup Plugin needed Javascript ColorBox Script upated to work on my CDN website.
All is working fine now.

Works on simple sites. Doesn’t play nice when using CDN’s and thats the future of websites content systems.
So still looking for more advanced popup plugin.
