I tried 5-7 plugins named “Loader” or “Preloader”, but all they do is load an image/animation with a timer. These plugins I tried are all fake. When I load my page with a 3G connection (slow loading), the preloader disappears after 2-3 seconds but my image from the front page is still loading.
The LoftLoader plugin waits for the page to load fully, and then hides the preloader. Yes, it uses JS, and the conflicts with other JS code are possible, but only with CSS, this real preloader disappearing is not possible.

Just installed it. Setup was quick and easy. Nice options such as background colour & transparency, and being able to choose the style and colour of the loader icon itself. Thanks to this preloader, my site now looks totally polished. Before installing, there was a visual issue where some page contents were loading ahead of CSS, so there was a “flash” where the unstyled page was visible before the proper styling kicked in. Thanks to LoftLoader, this is no longer an issue. Instead, the LoftLoader background colour & animation appear for less than a second, and then a perfectly loaded page appears. Just what I need.

Super easy plugin to use.
The free version offers loads of options to start with, and they are often all you need. Really like how you can use your own image, and easily change colours.
Best part – it’s super light and doesn’t impede performance like some other plugins I’ve tried.
