I’ve had to do a few hacks / customizations for certain plugin generated areas I or my client felt were lacking, but this plugin is no doubt the backbone of the site it’s being used on. There’s a lot of functionality behind the scenes that would take forever to build from scratch… Even for a seasoned developer.
The service that powers / works with this plugin is also quite impressive and has a lot to offer people in the vacation rental business. Support is fairly quick to respond to inquiries and has been quite helpful over time.

I used to use Lodgix 3 years ago and then went with a different VRS, but I am planning on coming back to use it again. However, this plugin will not work on my webhost (WPEngine). WPEngine is a very sophisticated high-end host. The plugin will not return any data from the lodgix API.
I tested the plugin in an old bluehost.com hosting account I had and the plugin works fine, but I don’t want to use that bluehost account (it is not as fast and good as WPEngine.)
I contacted Brent at Lodgix to see if he had any ideas and he just said “if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.” and didn’t want to do anything to support it, and instead recommended I get a different host which I don’t want to do.
So my point is Lodgix is a great system, but you’ll want to test this plugin on the host you plan to use before signing up. And also realize that sometimes Lodgix’s support isn’t the greatest.

This plugin absolutely decimated my database. Every page in the site, both front and backend, showed error messages. The plugin itself constantly tells me that I have no internet connection. We only used the test account, and for that much I’m thankful. Had to do a complete reinstall of my site to remove the garbage this plugin generated.

It looks like a good plugin.. but its NOT FREE.. So it will not work in your wordpress,, so i don’t know why its in the FREE listings of plugins..The Free and paid plugins should be separated

This plug in took my vacation rental page to a new level. It makes renting out my vacation home so much easier and Brent the lodgix is excellent to work with. If I ever have any questions, he responds right away. If you are setting up or redoing a vacation rental site, I HIGHLY recommend using this plug in.
