When I click on a reusable block on the page edit screen I get an error message:
This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.
Accessing the reusable block from the page edit screen is no longer possible.
This only recently started happening. I was able to recreate the problem on a clean installation of WordPress 6.4.1 and Twenty Twenty-Four.
On another note:
Thank you for this plugin! It has been extremely helpful. Before installing it content editors were regularly modifying reusable blocks when they thought they were editing a post. That no longer happens.
]]>Hi,
I want to prevent anyone from the WP post edit screen from being able to edit reusable blocks.I have gone to “Settings —–> Writing” and checked the boxes for “Hide “Convert to regular blocks” button” and “Hide “Edit reusable block” button”.
But when I create a post with a reusable block, it is still asking me if I want to save my changes to the reusable block. I didn’t change anything in the reusable block, but it’s still asking to re-save it: https://paste.pics/a45cd3fd9bfedd22a4c042aaa4c3f8df
Am I doing something wrong? Or perhaps I misunderstand the plugin?
]]>When I place a reusable block inside a group, the “Edit reusable Block” button is not working. It shows the correct link, but seems the click action is prevented
]]>The popup menu still has a shortcut button to convert to regular blocks in the latest wordpress version
]]>Hi,
seems the settings to hide the two buttons are swapped.
Hide "Convert to regular blocks"
button hides the “Edit reusable block” button and Hide "Edit reusable block"
button hides the “Convert to regular blocks” button.
Would be really great to have an option integrated to disable the button “Convert to regular blocks”, to force the team members to use reusable-blocks. Unfortunately my experience is, that they click at “Convert to regular blocks” very often, and that of course breaks the benefits of simple page updates.
]]>I am constructing reusable blocks for a website that I need editors to use and convert to regular blocks to edit in their posts. But to avoid mistakes, I’d like to be able to remove the option to edit the reusable block in the block library for anyone short of an administrator. Is this possible with your plugin?
Thanks
Tim
