I don’t know if they are visible by looking at the code on the page or not, but I had to fix the comments in html here. I don’t know whether this was an artifact of the plugin or the conversion by WP. I thought I’d mention it.

Suggestion: Is it possible to make the slugs match the name of the file that is loaded? Except in the case of “index.html” or “index.htm”, having a slug match the filename (minus the .htm*) would help, but I’m not sure if your database has that option.
]]>I just noticed that it’s not processing .htm files. Is that intentional?
Thanks.
]]>So far, so good. Appreciate the tool!
Can posts in the HTML Files area be moved into the Posts or Pages areas?
Thanks.
]]>I’m importing over 1000 text stories to a wordpress site that is currently in development. I’m changing platforms from a custom coded static site, to WordPress. So this plug-in is very helpful to me in saving me many repeated tasks. So thank you for that. However, the text I am importing (html files of course) has unwanted end-of-line, carriage return, line-feed (invisible encoded characters that cause lines of text to be interrupted (cut short) and extra line spacing to be added to the text. This interferes with my intended formatting of the text. I haven’t found any way to correct this other than to go back to the original html file and remove EOL etc, then copy and paste the html into the wordpress text editor for each story, which I’m sure you can see defeats the entire purpose of using your plugin. For further clarification, the unwanted EOL etc, occurs even if I remove them from the original HTML pages and re-upload to the “Unprocessed” folder for Load HTML Files. The only way to avoid this seems to be to copy and paste the HTML directly into the wordpress text (HTML) editor. I’m hoping this is something you have dealt with and that you have found a solution. I appreciate your much needed assistance.
]]>Hi Alan,
I want to integrate the HTML page that I mentioned under the title into WP (Link to the page you need help with:).
I right-clicked on the page, clicked on “View Page Source”, copied the content and inserted it into the HTML Editor.
I did Publish, but when I click on the Permalink I get a “Page Not Found” message.
Additionally, that page doesn’t exist in either Pages or Posts, if I saw this page when I clicked on the Permalink, I wouldn’t be able to edit it.
Do you have experience where I am wrong?
Best regards
Edin
]]>I have an old static HTML site with over 200 pages that I want to migrate over to WP. To give this a test run I installed a new WP instance, installed this plugin, and added a test HTML file to the “wp-content/uploads/html_files/unprocessed” folder. At least as I understood, within 5 minutes the plugin would check that directory for new files and create posts from them, then move them to the “processed” folder.
I did that, and the file was moved from “unprocessed” to “processed” as expected, but I still don’t see any new posts (or pages). Am I missing something?
NOTE (if helpful): I did this on a clean, unused install of WP on a fairly standard vanilla shared Linux/LAMP hosting environment.
]]>Hi there,
I’ve been searching for a plugin which would enable me to upload en overwrite html snippets on my page, so I was very glad to find yours. It also seems to work great with uploaden etc., I’ve managed to get this working. I don’t know however how to implement it on a page? Previously I would take the custom HTML code widget to insert the code, should I link the post in there?
If I try to use the default post-widgets from WordPress, it can’t find the posts created by the plugin, I guess because it is a different system. I feel like I am so close to my goal now, could you tell me how to get the code in a block on my page?
Either way, keep up the good work, thanks in advance,
Timo Korbee
