I’m trying to add a link into any phone field but I can’t find the right place to add it.

For example in this page:

In the field where appears the phone number I would like to add the following HTML code:
5551234567

So, when I’m looking at templates/frontend/listing.tpl.php, I see the line:
<?php $listing->renderContentFields($is_single); ?>

But then, I can’t find that function to play around this…

Could you let me know where is it?

Sorry for not specifying the plugin version, I can’t find it easily and in the readme.txt says at least “Last Updated: 2013-Nov-15”, probably is the last one (in the WP admin doesn’t say that there’s a new version).

Hello!

I installed the 1.1.7 version in my wordpress version 3.8.1. Now I have 30 listing, but it seems to me that only the last entered 10 items are shown in the map of the frontpage of the plugin. If I use the search form (for example ‘a’, then all listings with the name containing ‘a’ is shown correctly. I think this is the bug, because teoretically all items muyt be shown in the map without using the search.

Can this problem be resolved?

Thank you for the great plugin. Is it possible to set up directory listings so that when the contact form is submitted, the email is sent to a specified email address for that listing instead of the admin account?

I want to create the listings myself to ensure that the content added to the website is of a high quality but I’m having the above mentioned issue.

I also created a custom field to add an email address for the individual listings and would like the user to click on this email address which will open their email application and have a custom subject added to the email. (eg. Enquiry from ABC Directory Website)
Can this be done?

I uploaded an image that is 1300 pixels wide…when I click it in directory view it’s aspect ratio is distorted, it’s the correct height, but only 200 or so pixels in width, so completely distorted…Any ideas?

Hiya, just installed this and it’s great, but I’d like to shorten the the listing that appears on the directory page…currently it’s showing the entire listing then says “View Listing” at the bottom… I’d like it to just show a preview of the text and the logo image…the first couple of lines of text and then you have to click “View Listing” to read the entire listing. I’ve tried using the “Insert More” tag but it makes no difference. I also tried “excerpt” but that just gives me a “summary” and “description”, but both appear on the directory page.

Any way of doing this? Thanks

Hello,
Trying your classified program. The page with the [webdirectory]short code was created. But for some reason the button to “Submit New Listing” is not showing up. The “Favorites” button is/did.
I know there is probably something simple that has been overlooked. But as much as I have reviewed I can not discover what I have missed to enable the “Submit New Listing” button.

Hi There,
I am using WP 3.7.1 on the Genesis Framework and Associate theme.
I started using your plugin today to build a directory and classifieds website and really like it.
However I have tow questions:
1. When someone that’s not logged in to WP Admin visits the site and responds by clicking the “Contact” tab and sending a message, the message gets delivered to my WP admin e-mail, but there is not contact details on the e-mail. The name and e-mail fields are empty. How do you capture a non logged in user’s details, since you cannot expect every visitor to register an account just to make an inquiry or contact the listing holder?
2. Can you customize the default directory page layout to display listings in coloumn format so that you have two or more columns with the various sticky and featured listings organized into columns, similar to the directory categories?

By default the list is ordered by date, but I need to order it by name (A-Z).
I cannot see how can I do this in the settings. Is it possible?

If not, in which file and line could I specify the order?

I need to style and restructure the frontend a bit to adjust it to the theme. I guess that the folders “templates/frontend” and “resources/css/frontend.css” is the files to look at…

Is there a better way to modify the templates directly in the the plugin folder. f.ex copy the files to the theme folder?

I noticed that the table prefix of Directory & Classifieds plugin is always the same (wp_) and not as the one of the installed wordpress. So in a database with multiple wordpress installations only one Directory & Classifieds plugin can be used.

I’d like to attract attention that some of translation item remain English after complete the translation. I created the Hungarian translation. For example the following language items remaned English:

Sounds weird, let me explain…

I have a homepage showing categories and subcategories.
I don’t want the name of the categories with a link, only the subcategories.

Could be this done directly in the admin?
Or should I modify the code?

How is possible to set same,simple site as your demo? Brilliant plugin ! A few questions

1) Can a non admin user post a listing through the front end (similar to may be ACWP) ?

2) If not can this be integrated with gravity forms so that the plugin lists custom posts created using a gravity form front end ?

3) Can a listing have more than one google map marker. I am looking to tweak this on a simple car sharing site and would need to have both start and end destination markers in one listing.

I’m creating (or modifying) listings but I cannot see where are the content fields.
And also I cannot see how to upload the image that should appear in the list (not in the listing page).

I added it to my test site which has over 30 plugins on it and did not work. I deactivated my plugins one by one and got nothing. So I decided to add plugin to my main site, which is a fresh install with 5 of my core plugins. Still not working. So deactivated and deleted all my core plugins and still not working. So whats happening is.. I cannot add tags, Screen options wont show, Google map wont generate, add media (on the Editor)wont click,create gallery link not working,publish links not working,except add to trash. I can add images on the Listing media. Attach video wont click. Not having any of these issues on normal page creation. I am just a beginning of learning coding and development. So trying to figure out a solution is beyond me. Advice on what else to try would be appreciated.
