I think this plugin is great and does what it promises. It was able to strip the links I needed out of my sites in seconds.

Tried this. Big mistake. Now getting umpteen SPAMs from “Duncan”.

It worked every time we tested this, to remove the links on our site pointing out to other (no longer desirable) sites.
