A great improvement would be a screen that shows all url links for easier editing than the current way of having to search for them by domain. Some websites I can’t edit because their domains aren’t found. This plugin went from Hero to Zero when we encountered this short coming. Can you look into this.

There is an option in settings to use Captcha, I turned it on and entered my public and private keys. When a new link is added to the site there is not captcha at all. A user can submit a new link, but it fails with a captcha error. If I turn off the captcha functionality in settings a link will submit just fine, but I want to use captcha. All i see for directions is to only enter the keys. What am I missing?

How do i change the url outputs, to more SEO frendly URLs?

It would be useful to recieve an email, when a new link is submitted.
Also it would be nice if the submitter, had to fill out an e-mail.

Hi…I love the clean implementation and look of the plugin and very easy to use admin options. A few things that would make this the ideal link manager for me:

1) Put user submitted links in a pending area that I have to approve before they appear in the directory.

2) Allow additional fields to be included when links are submitted. (I want an email address option.)

3) Option to display links in alphabetical order by title. (It seems they appear in reverse chronological order that they were submitted.) Though having maybe a separate option via shortcode of displaying x number of most recent links would be cool too.

Any chance these are in the pipeline for the next edition.

This morning, I noticed a site being unresponsive with the following error that was repeated countless times before the actual site loaded. It took 3-4 minutes to load the entire page. While this was happening, I checked the proc and noticed index.php wp-cron.php tripping out. Run away process tanked the site. Not sure, but I assume the submission form was getting hit by a bot.

I love this plugin! Couldn’t have found anything better.

Unfortunately, the pagerank function doesn’t seem to work, at all. In the backend all inbound/outbound hitcounters are on zero, pagerank >50, in the SQL all inbound/outbound = 0, and pagerank = 777

any clues? I’d love to have this function running, especially since I’ve installed this plugin and my users love it!

Ok i am in a serious trouble now!

My blog used to work perfectly and I was able to add multiple links to my directory without any problem until today when this happened!

My site works perfectly on its root directory but when i try to access my admin area at example.com/wp-admin I can’t access it at all as I am getting the below error messages on lines 799, 791, 866 and 787 and I have no idea how I can solve this out?!

Also this happens when I try to access the directory from my front end, when i click on any directory link the same error messages are displayed above the fold of my page!

Firstly thank you for a wonderful plugin – just what I required. I have a few suggestions but I will put these as a separate post.

The one issue I have is with the thumbalizr thumbnails. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the plugin but I suspect it is rather with the thumbalizr service.

The thumbnails either appear with a big red cross or a blank screenshot. Not really what you want to present to your visitors.

I wondered if there is a way to change the provider to say thumbshots.com by replacing the thumbalizr code to that of thumbshots?

From what I can see this would involve integrating the following code from thumbshots:

Hello there,

So I understand that this is a new plugin so I have some suggestions and they may already be implemented and I just may be missing them.

1) Custom Entry: I’d like to have the ability, via the dashboard, to choose custom things that people can post. I’m using this is a guild listing, and I would like to have other options for people to put in their guild advertisements.

2) The ability to link a banner for the top of their link.

I mean, maybe this just isn’t the plugin for me, but sadly I’ve found nothing even similar to what they’re doing here. So I’m hoping something like this could be in order for yours.

Hello! I tried using this plugin on WP 3.2.1. with BP 1.5.1. and each time had different results. I have several other plugins loaded but they don’t seem to be in conflict.

first attempt: the output showed up 3x on the horizontal
second attempt: won’t add URL to the directory
third attempt: it was working fine but after 12 hours, my header got studded with this repeating error:
