Hi! I can′t find whats wrong with my settings… Always getting this error:
We had to deactivate the plugin, because no comments are possible anymore.
Hope you can help ??
Kind regards
Frank
Hello dear friends!
Is there a way i could preserve the limit by allowing a new comment but deleting the oldest one?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.
]]>Hi, I love your Limit Comments and Word Count plugin.
But I also miss a feature that will be a great addition to your plugin and very helpful for us.
Is it possible to make a feature that activates a maximum number of comments on a blog post or static page level?
This feature should show a variable input box for maximum comments allowed on blog posts or static page pages when enabled.
So I can set a maximum number of total comments on page-level for any specific blog post or static page. When it reaches the maximum number of comments set for that particular blog post or static page, it should hide the “post a comment” entry box so visitors can add no more commands.
If this requires paid customization, please contact me or send me a pm because I would love to have this feature.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Williejan
Hi!
We have a german blog and like this plugin!
The only thing is, that the fields “Comment Rules”, “Characters”, “Words” etc. are static and in english.
Is it possible to translate the field names so that the user sees the info-line in his language?
Regards
Frank
Hi!! I come with another question ??
So, when you set a monthly limit comment how does it works?
Thanks a lot!
]]>Hi!! The plugin made a great evolution since the last time I experienced it.
Is there any way to limit comments to specific individual post instead of all posts?
Thanks!
]]>Here’s the use case scenario I would like to implement:
I want to limit new comments to 1 per day, but I would like to allow unlimited replies to existing comments.
Is this possible? Is there a setting to allow this or some code I can put into my functions.php?
Thank you!
]]>Hello,
Is it possible to add a forth Comment Frequency option Per Year (365 days)?
Could you show me the “snippet” I need to add and in which file I need to add it to have an option to offer my user “x” comments per year?
You have developed a great plugin!
— Thanks in advance

]]>I just installed your plugin on my new site in development. I have Imprezza theme. The plugin doesn’t show up after activation. Is it incompatible or why?
]]>Two problems:
1. When I created a rule, it isn’t shown anywhere. I would expect something like, “Rule #1 – Authors – word limit 200 – etc.” But when I create a rule, I just get a message saying “settings saved” and there is no way to remember what rule was created. If you create many rules, this will quickly get out of hand.
2. Also, there is another problem and that is, there seems to be no way to create rules for site users who are not logged in. So I can limit comments for logged-in users, but not for regular site visitors? They can ramble forever? Maybe I’m missing something.
This plugin seems like it might work for me. I want to be able to limit comment length for regular site visitors (not users) and then be able allow my site’s users (authors, etc.) to NOT have limits.
]]>I’m wondering if you can please help me: I have someone who reported that he was only able to post one comment despite the fact that the display showed that he had one comment remaining (and it is true, he only left a single comment when the limit is set to 2). I wonder if it’s because he used the comment to reply to my comment to him.
]]>Hello. When testing, I placed multiple comments in and got a redirect url to https://127.0.0.1/web/wp-comments-post.php (my local server, developing website).
This redirect gives me a very simple, white page and states, “Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!”
Is there a way for that comment to just show up on the same page the form was submitted (error message, popup message, etc.)?
Thank you.
]]>Has this plugin been confirmed to work with Ultimate Member?
I am able to get this plugin to work only if I choose a specific USER_ID on the configuration page. If I choose anything else the plugin counters above the comment fields are always showing zero (and nothing is limited).
I am suspecting that it might have something to do with user roles. All my users have at least two roles: Participant and custom user role created by Ultimate Member. Is it possible that this configuration is not compatible with Limit Comments and Word Count?
Is there any way around it?
Regards
Tomasz
how do i limit comment on ONLY one particular post and not all posts.
im new to wrdpress btw
]]>Hello,
I’ve tried setting up for a test user group and in the comment section, everything is shown 0 for all restrictions, even though I set a different value. Plus I can still make more comments than the restricted value. Is there anything else I have to setup to make the plugin work?
Thank you in advance!
]]>Hello artiosmedia,
Thanks for the great plugin, it’s really useful!
Would we have any chance to have an option to limit by IP as well? This would contribute to reduce fake accounts created for spamming… Thanking you in advance for considering this feature!
Cheers.
