Really, nothing works as expected, looks broken and counter-intuitive.

does not work properly, broken !

do not use this plugin. It loads viagra advertisements or similar into your website because of the externally hosted .js file being replaced by junk.

I rename my wp-content folder for every project. This plugin does not recognize that.

It just show all images from the Media

This does not work. Jquery.colorbox() is not a function.

The lightbox by default is really small (nowhere near full screen) and has an ugly white box around it. Not going to work for me.

Don’t use it together with LayerSlider WP, as it stops the slideshow.

Obviously, from the Support pages, virtually no issues are resolved. My issues right off the bat:
On the Options page, resetting the default number of columns to “4” doesn’t work. The default stays at “3”
When I insert a gallery between two lines of text, the line beneath the gallery is brought up on the right side of the gallery, instead of staying below it. Galleries which should be one below the other appear side-by-side.
My caption text (centered under image) overruns the default text (“Image n of n”, which is left justified) so that the beginning of the Caption appears on top of the end of the default text.
When I create a new gallery, the default “Image n of n” caption continues counting from the previous gallery. It should start over with each new gallery.
Terrible plugin

It works pretty well. The author should put the tip about being able to override the style sheet by putting lightbox-gallery.css in your theme folder onto the settings page. Would have saved me some time.
There are still some things that are difficult to override gracefully, like the previous, next and close button images, without resorting to hacking the plugin.
There’s practically no support in the forum either.

it really works thanks ??

Excellent…

If you are using the standard [gallery] shortcode, it just works out of the box.

It’s very difficult to figure out how to use this plugin or even change the photos displayed. I created a gallery 2 years ago and now I cannot update the photos by adding new ones and deleting old ones. I don’t recommend it.

I can’t even get the first install instruction to work. This guy needs to be more clear and perhaps take an English class.
“1) Edit the lightbox-gallery.js and check the path of line 2 according to your settings.”
What does that even mean? This is line two of that file:
if ( typeof hs != "undefined" ) {
Go figure.
Maybe you need to be a geek to get this work, for most people this won’t work.

I like this plugin. It’s very simple and works well.
Thanks.

i want to use it – it’s easy and works, except i can’t as images don’t come up a useful size

Just works with WP galleries. Doesn’t do anything with only one picture.

it works nice, thanks a lot

I’m a pretty tech savvy person and I can’t figure this out. And there’s very little documentation on it. i don’t know how to apply the code to a gallery/album. I’m using a NextGEN plugin for the gallery (which I’m sooo not thrilled about either) and can’t figure out how to add lightbox code to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a few hours to make it work, but I gave up.

Hmmm. Well it works and it’s simple. Its what I’m looking for… for the most part. The settings area needs a complete overhaul though; a lot of cleaning up is needed here. I’d like my image captions to display correctly though, and they don’t. The author states:
Lightbox Gallery will load ‘lightbox-gallery.css’ and ‘lightbox-gallery.js’ from your theme’s directory if they exist. If they don’t exist, they will just load the default ‘lightbox-gallery.css’ and ‘lightbox-gallery.js’ that come with Lightbox Gallery.
But this is either unclear or not so. I uploaded the lightbox-gallery.css into my child theme folder and it doesn’t over ride the original css at all. I will have to tear this apart and do some tinkering to figure out what exactly I need to do. Unclear instructions that could have been better thought-out. Would have given it 5 stars if not for this and the settings page messiness.

The plugin does what it claims. In 2 clicks you have a nice looking lightbox effect in your galleries.

We simply installed>activated and works like a charm right out of the box. Thank you!

very difficult to fix
