I’m experiencing this exact problem on wordpress 3.5.1 with current versions of php and libxml, but unfortunately, this plugin doesn’t seem to fix it. Is there an updated way to restore the right angle brackets? I can’t figure out why this plugin doesn’t work. Can anyone give a hint on where to look? Could it be the xml parser libraries for php are regressing?

Hi… I’ve tried this plugin several times & it doesn’t seem to work for me. I even tried the edit somebody suggested to on the top line, but it made no difference. I maybe doing something wrong in my www.remarpro.com setup… but I’ve been through as many options as I can think off. Any suggestions ?
