I am trying to configure Terms of service & Privacy Policy but I am getting the below error whenever I press publish:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Function name must be a string in /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/parsedown.php:915 Stack trace: #0 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/parsedown.php(952): Parsedown->element(Array) #1 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/parsedown.php(268): Parsedown->elements(Array) #2 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/parsedown.php(50): Parsedown->lines(Array) #3 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/legull-tags.php(135): Parsedown->text(‘##Introduction\n…’) #4 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/legull.php(54): legull_publish_terms_to_import() #5 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(288): Legull->onSubmit_redirects(Array) #6 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #7 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #8 /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull in /home/autorzwl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legull/lib/parsedown.php on line 915
I was able to successfully publish it yesterday but today it’s gone again so I re-installed Legull plug in but now I am getting the above error.
Please help.
Thanks

Dear sirs,
First of all I’d like to congratulate you on providing such an awesome solution for PP and TOS. However I’d like to bring to your kind notice about a issue and want to ask if there is any solution for the same or not.
The privacy policy and TOS page displays as a post, rather than as a page. What do I mean by this, is please have a look at the site I’m preparing for my client,
https://www.todayigiveup.com/legal/privacy-policy/
https://www.todayigiveup.com/legal/terms-of-service/
Those both says, “By admin 25 mins ago” on top of the page. Also at the bottom it says “related items”. Those are the attributes of a post. I don’t want these to be displayed like this. I tried to see it in settings as well, but I could not find any format there to change the page settings.
I want it to display as full width page, without any of the above i.e. “By admin 25 mins ago” & “related items”. Can it be done?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
]]>I’m have difficulty in correcting the ownership URL. I input another URL by mistake and published it. ]]>PHP 7.0 on a shared server.
I can’t see if and where terms are published… Clicking “Publish” just returns a blank page. I see no new pages or posts.
Re-saving permalinks does nothing to help.
We are having an odd problem in another plugin that somehow involves the Legull plugin. This is the issue:
We are experiencing strange search results coming up in the Relevanssi plugin’s search logs, in that they are including URLs in the search that are created by the Legull plugin. No other URLs are involved. See sample of the log here:

1914/page/7/legal/privacy-policy 4 413
1914/page/12/legal/privacy-policy 4 414
Interestingly, the URLs in the log all have something in common, in that they are generated from the plugin “Legull” which created those pages. Any idea what might be going on with the Legull plugin that would allow it’s URLs to come up into the other plugin’s search logs?

At least that is what I assume us supposed to come after “In”
https://organicfamilyproducts.com/legal/terms-of-service/
Hi,
Thank you for creating Legull plugin that saved me efforts to manage the TOS and Privacy Policy.
My earlier experience with Legull plugin is that it works as soon as I hit the “Publish Terms” button. Using the latest Version 1.2.2, I don’t see the pages got published. I could see the pages are created under /legal/xxx
I’ve experimented by changing multiple themes, apparently these Legull generated pages wouldn’t appear in theme’s menu for some reasons.
I’ve also tried to “flush the permalink database” by updating the permalink settings. Nothing works for me.
Do you have any idea how to allow the theme’s menu to pick up these pages? Preferably “automatically” pick up. I’m not certain if this is a bug from Legull or theme, my input is that both probably aren’t compatible to work with each other.
My URL is located at https://www.wecoz.com
]]>Hi, great plugin! Just a minor issue. I set it for: Over 18 No and Under 13 No. I get the following output on the Terms of Service page:
User is at least 18 years old and has all right, authority, and capacity to agree to these Terms;
Of course I simply just changed the 18 to 13.
The Privacy Policy page has all the over 13 years settings correct.
Also as I recollect there was a typo in the Mobile Device Privacy section one of the entries of “device” was misspelt as “devcie” or something like this.
Cheers!
]]>A couple typos that should probably be corrected:
Once in Privacy Policy, password instead reads “passwork.” In the same paragraph, one sentence seems to have a word or two missing. (I wish I had noted which one before I edited my own policy, but I did not…)
In TOS, entity type “sole proprietor” simply reads “sole.” (That’s not on purpose, is it? Forgive me, if so. ?? )
Thank you for all the work you put into this!

As you can see, single and double quotes are being replaced by unusual symbols on these two pages. I’ve even tried manually updating them, to no avail.

]]>In case you are not aware, there is now a law in the EU that websites using cookies must:
The Information Commissioner’s Office website has a video and PDF guide on staying in compliance with the law here.
If you wish to see the full e-Privacy Directive, it is Directive 2002/58/EC.
In particular, amendment Directive 2009/136/EC deals with cookies.
There are several plugins for WordPress that tackle the task of compliance. These generally operate by means of a pop-up that informs the user of the use of cookies when they first visit the site, offering them the option to read more information (thus linking to a privacy policy). Occasionally, they will either block the site altogether until the user agrees to use cookies, or disable cookies altogether (although some plugin writers claim this is impossible to do – indeed, it seems hard considering how WordPress works).
Plugins such as Cookie Notice, Cookie Control and Cookie Law Info inform the user of the site’s use of cookies with a pop-up. Most of these plugins do not provide a means to create a privacy policy / list of cookies, although some do. The user is generally left to audit their cookies and write up a privacy policy – quite a daunting task for the average webmaster! Naturally, Legull is a good starting point to achieving this.
You may notice that the ICO use Cookie Control. It started off looking very promising. Sadly, the WordPress plugin seems to have been abandoned by the developers. I have taken to using Cookie Notice, as it is still updated and compatible with 4.1. However, both the ICO and CIVIC have good examples of cookie descriptions in their privacy policies, which may be accessed via the link on Cookie Control on the sites or directly at the above links.
Legull does a good job of explaining what cookies are, but it would be great if it supported the EU cookie law officially. Perhaps there could be an option, much like the “In California?” option for “In EU?” – the description could even suggest the installation of a pop-up cookie notification system to comply with the EU cookie law.
The option to draw up a table explaining all cookies on the site might be a good idea for such an option. I appreciate that auditing cookies might not be possible within the plugin, but a manual entry system would be great!
It’s a shame that WordPress Foundation don’t appear to have made any provisions whatsoever for the EU cookie law – in fact, a moderator has stated in the forums that it’s OUR responsibility to ensure cookies aren’t put onto a user’s computer before they give consent (how?!) and they seem to think we don’t need to explain every cookie. If we, in fact, do need to (as the ICO and CIVIC do in their privacy policies), it would be nice if WordPress and plugin creators explained what cookies do what, to make this process easier.

]]>When I click “Save All Tabs”, it takes me to a new page, telling me my site details have been saved. Superb!
However, the page also says:
“Save Changes” will update the data you have entered in these fields.
“Publish Terms” will create or update your terms based on all of your choices.
If you have made manual changes to your terms after publishing them previously with Legull, “Publish Terms” will overwrite those manual changes.
The only option after this is “Publish Terms”. There is no “Save Changes” anywhere, that I can see.
I appreciate this is just a terminology issue, but it’s rather confusing!
I assume that hitting “Save All Tabs” will merely add blocks to the Terms that were not already present (e.g. by turning 18+ on, you’ll get a clause in the TOS) whilst retaining custom-edited text in other sections?
]]>I selected “yes” to “Will this site allow users or visitors under the age of 13?”
However, I found the following in my privacy policy:
]]>No Users Under the Age of 13
The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 should not use the Site at any time. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected information from anyone under the age of 13, we will erase that information from our servers. It is a violation of our Terms of Service for children under the age of 13 to use the Site.
I noticed the following line at the end of the Cookies section of the Privacy Policy:
With cookies blocked, some fucntions of the Site may not operate properly.
Fucntions? That’s a bit rude! ??
I’ve not ticked all the options, so I’m not sure if there are any other spelling errors.
]]>In the Terms, the date is displayed with [legull display=”last_updated”]. What is displayed is formatted as such:
These terms were last updated on February 6th, 2015
However, my site is set (in settings>general) to the first option, 6th February 2015.
It is quite annoying when plugins choose to ignore the default date format set by WordPress. I am in the UK, we don’t say February 6th – that’s an Americanism. Could this be altered, so the plugin conforms to whatever date format is set in WordPress?
I’m not an expert, but I think you need to use:
get_option('date_format')
Other than this, I’m enjoying the plugin – it’s very simple to use!
Thanks!
]]>I’ve filled out all fields and hit “Save All Tabs”.
There are 2 messages…
“Your site details have been saved.”
“There was an error in your site details.”
There are not terms under the “Publish” tab, and when I hit the “Publish Terms” on that page I get the same 2 message as above.
Any advice?
