I’m getting the following error when checking to see if this plugin is compatible with php7. Any chance it will be updated?

Does anybody have the list of shortcodes that went with this version of the plugin? I followed an old bookmark (https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/shortcode/) but the shortcodes are missing. In particular, I need the shortcode for outputting a calendar with multiple feeds.
Thanks.

I’m currently using Google Calendar Events 2.4.0 on a client website; we’re not in a position to update to Simple Calendar at this time. It’s critical our GCE 2.4.0 plugin (database and all functions) be maintained at its current level. Losing database feeds, settings, and performance would be horrific.
I would very much like to use Legacy Google Calendar Events 2.4.1 so we can receive security updates. How can I do this without losing current Google Calendar Events 2.4.0 database feeds, settings, and performance? Do I just overwrite the 2.4.0 plugin folder with 2.4.1? Or is there something else that needs to be done?
Please let me know…others may also have the same question.
Thanks for your help!

Hello,
I’m using this plugin to show a calendar of events for my high school. I was originally on the Google Calendar plugin before it switched over to Simple Calendar, and then when it did it caused lots of problems for my site so I switched to the legacy plugin. On the legacy calendar it does not show multi day events properly. For example Spring Break, which is supposed to go from March 21 to March 27 (and that is how it is on the Google Calendar), instead only shows up on March 21. This happens with multi day events all over the calendar.
Thank you for taking the time to help me out,
Jordan

Using LGCE 2.4.1
When I visit the page where a “Grid (Month View)” calendar is, the current month shows, and displays correctly. However, if I click the “Next” button to view the next month, the weekly recurring events all move forward 7 hours. If I click the “Back” button to view the previous (current) month, all weekly recurring events move forward 7 hours.
Out of curiosity, I refreshed the page, and the current month’s recurring events go back to the correct times.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello
I installed this plugin following the instructions as the Simple Calendar format was not acceptable due to the complete change in look.
It is working fine for most browsers, however, many are complaining it does not work with IE 11 as when you hover the cursor over the dates with events there, nothing shows whereas with other browsers a pop-up box is displayed containing the events.
Any assistance to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. The website is https://www.wharfedalerufc.co.uk/
Thank you
Jonathan

Hi,
I just tried to install this in order to downgrade back to the version that worked for our site. Upon uploading it crashed our entire website. I cannot access the dashboard and the website is down. You state that the only updates to this Legacy version will be for security reasons.
What if Google changes their API? Will this still be supported, or is it your plan to retire this plugin if that happens?
My reason for asking is that I updated to the new Simple Calendar and the result was horrific!!! NEVER, I mean NEVER force an update of this magnitude on anyone via a simple “update” this plugin. The new Simple Calendar SHOULD have been an entirely separate, entirely new plugin. You could have posted a message about moving to this new plugin. I’m considering looking for an entirely different plugin and to avoid EVERYTHING associated with any of the current developers or business that has done this!!! Very unhappy right now!
I am trying to take the path of least resistance right now, by moving back to the old version, although I also want to avoid this old version failing due to Google API updates, or you deciding to end support.
You can search for my posts in your new Simple Calendar plugin regarding the issues I’m having with it. It will also be getting a 1* rating.

Hi there,
I’m re-adding my Calendar feeds after downgrading from Simple Calendar and I cannot recreate the formatting I had on my site before.
https://www.samuelboden.com/performance-diary/
In the list view on this page, I had the date in the grey box, then the event title and the location beneath that on the white page.
Here’s my shortcode:
[start-date]
[event-title]
[location]
And here’s my full ‘text’ code:
<div class=”gce-list-event gce-tooltip-event”>[start-date]

<div class=”gce-list-event gce-tooltip-event”>

<div class=”gce-list-event gce-tooltip-event”>[event-title]

[location]

Please can you advise how to change the formatting as required?
Many thanks,
Kate

So I’ve downgraded.
My feed url shows expected results: https://2.ejadmin.odns.fr/feed/?post_type=gce_feed BUT the page of the individual calendar: https://2.ejadmin.odns.fr/gce_feed/creneaux-hebdomadaires-de-la-tdr/ says that nothing is found, whereas it used to reflect the same thing as the feed. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

If you’ve already upgraded to Simple Calendar 3.0, you’ll first need to remove it via FTP or in your dashboard.
Then you’ll need to recreate your feeds if you choose to use this legacy version of the plugin.
There’s no way around this unless you can restore from a backup.
Sorry for the pain. Best we can do at this point.
Assuming that the upgrade contained a DB update when the big push was made, is there a downgrade feature as well? Currently, so far for myself, feeds have been moved to Simple Cal but when reverted to 2.4 the feeds are missing.
Any advice on how to go about bringing the feeds back to 2.4 format?

This has been one of the most confusing upgrades/downgrades I’ve dealt with. I do want to thank you for all the work that you have done with the plugin. However, after you sent the email that we should delete the plugin, I did and all of my calendar feeds are gone now.
