I am trying to update an old website with Learnpress to reactive interesting training materials. The website was developed by someone who left our company and I’m facing issue to make it work.
I have 2 different problems but probably with the same cause:
In both cases the API does not seem to provide the expected answer but I can’t figure out the problem. I sometimes get an error message telling the JSON Response is not valid.
Any help would be appreciated.

]]>Hello, when you go to the lesson page, the menu on the left is open. This needs to be closed when the page is opened. Another problem is that when opening the lesson list on mobile, it opens late. Google gives INP warning here. This also affects seo.
The toggle button does not work on first click in mobile browser. It works on the second click. When clicked, it opens the course list after waiting for a while.

]]>Hi,
On my site i use learnpress. I don’t use woocomerc plugin. When setting up payments via PayPal, I used a business account.
The user trying to buy my course can not log in to his paypal account, the message below appears.
The user cannot register to his paypal account from this page. A message appears that some information during registration is incorrect.
Is this a problem with the learnpres settings, or is it a problem with the business account settings in paypal?
Thank you!

]]>Hi Brianvu,
Wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
I’m seeing “Archives” and “Categories” in the right bottom column of this website:
https://thedronecoach.com/course/faa-part-107-practice-exams/
but I do not have it showing on this website:
https://thedronecoach.io/course/faa-part-107-remote-pilot-drone-course/
I can see the lp-archive-courses code using Developer Tools, but I cannot find where to turn this on or off and I do believe I’m using CSS in my other website to hide it?
Thank you,
Frank
]]>Hi,
Since the latest Learnpress update any quizzes no longer work at all with Safari or Firefox. The quiz page is displayed but there is no option to start quiz.
On Chrome one test gives the “start” button but when clicked it just says “You have not start the quiz”. The others under Chrome appear to work.
I have tried rolling back to version 4.2.6.9 – no change.
I have another site with the same problem since update to 4.7.2
Any ideas?
Thanks

]]>Greetings !
I have bought the Eduma theme and everything is great so far except one thing. In the search bar inside the student’s profile , users can only find results if they put accents ( the website is in French , so many letters have accents ). I want the search bar to display results regardless if the user inputs the accent or not.
Thanks in advance ??
I hope this message finds you well.
We would like to inquire about the information related to the “Instructor” page. Specifically, we noticed that there is code available to display social media icons within the Instructor section. Could you kindly provide guidance on how to integrate and display social media icons for the instructors?
Thank you for your assistance.
]]>Hello:
There is no email notice to the user of a course with an end date set in the course settings.
Neither before the end of the course, nor just when it has expired.
The first helps the resale of courses, alerting of the end and offering to buy again the course if this is not finished. The second informs the unaware user that his course has ended, since when he accesses to web, neither the profile (except the date in the column) nor the course page, warn that it has expired. Only inside the Single Course Item page, the user see the alert of course closed.
Therefore, the first notice (upcoming course expiration) is necessary. The second notice (course expired) would be advisable.
Just as LP sends an email for enrolled courses and completed courses, it should offer the email notice of imminent course expiration.
The seller of courses will have an automated improvement to increase their sales, better than any upsell add-on that is already being offered.
Since there is no expiration notice from Learnpress, it forces us to sell all courses as a subscription (to have Woo alert messages, since LP doesn’t offer them) and thus we lose the sale of products for a fixed price, which can then be repurchased, as alternative for normal subscritions, and we also lose the option to charge by Bizum (since it doesn’t offer subscriptions, only one-time payments).
Three problems for course sellers:
All for only one mail missing.
Am I wrong? Is there a way to automatically notify the user of the approaching completion of their course that I am not taking into consideration? Please, guide me.
Along with the fact that can’t associate courses with product variations (can only associate them with general products), the two big problems with Learnpress for selling subscription courses.
An important point to consider, I think.
Thanks for your attention.
Is there ability to share the certificate on Linkedin , I can only see the option for sharing to Facebook and Twitter only in the documentation?
]]>Hello! My course page is not loading properly. The Purchase/Continue section of the page doesn’t load all the time and after the last updated, the title section goes more wide hiding behind the course section, see the attached image
]]>Hi guys
There is any solution for this.
I want to unlock an lesson only if user have passed the exam or something like that. ( i am trying to do this, and is because most of my students will like to divide the whole course price in 3 times. So for me will be nice if we can divide the course too.
So what i did was to create 3 sections. each section with lessons. So what i want to do is if users wants to go to the next section then need to pay the second payment.
The way i was trying to solve the proble was to use the content drip. But even if it failed the exam the user can still go to the next session.
So how can stop from going to the next session. Any ideas or hook?
thank you
Hi there,
I would like to clarify whether this behavior is expected with the plugin. Are WooCommerce Payments not compatible when the “Allow Repurchase” option is enabled? This limitation is preventing me from offering course renewals. Unfortunately, native payment methods such as PayPal do not convert well in Poland, making WooCommerce Payments my only viable solution. However, this setup does not allow me to set options like monthly access to courses, as the “Repurchase” button does not appear.
I have tested this issue using the default theme and have disabled all other plugins to check for potential conflicts. I noticed that the “Allow Repurchase” option only works when PayPal or Offline Payment is enabled. However, as soon as I enable WooCommerce Payments (regardless of whether PayPal or Offline Payment is also active), the “Repurchase” button no longer appears on the course page.
Is there any way to make this functionality work together? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

]]>Hi !
I am looking for a feature that would allow me to block the completion of a lesson until the user has watched the entire video. Ideally, there would be an option in the lesson settings to require the video to be fully viewed before allowing the user to proceed to the next lesson.
Currently, I cant find this option in the settings. Could you let me know if a solution exists or if there are plans to add this feature?
If present, Do it works on all kind of video supported?
Thank you very much!
]]>Hi,
I am uploading course contents for one of my customers, and wanted to use the “Materials” section, but it works really slow, both on the lessons settings to upload or show the materials, and also on the course Materials tab it keeps loading and loading, takes a lot of time or sometimes doesn’t end loading.
Is there something that can be done to solve this? Some ideas?
It is not a traffic issue. Resources maybe are not much but should be enough for a small academy with 1 online course. I work with other academies with more resource needing themes in similar hostings and I don’t have this kind of issues.

Taisa

]]>Hi, we are offering free courses on a company-internal site. How can we see the course results of non-registered users in Gradebook- Addon (which we have purchased)?
Also, is there an update on how to start a free course with registration – but without having to go through a checkout page? As we offer free courses to employees, going through a checkout (even with 0$) is not an option. This leads us to using the option of “Students can see the content of all course items and take the quiz without logging in.” But – now we can`t track results, bc results dont show in Gradebook. Any solutions for this scenario?

]]>Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with LearnPress where the next/prev navigation buttons aren’t showing up in my lessons. I’ve checked all the settings multiple times but can’t seem to find a solution. Interestingly, the navigation works just fine in the example course.
Does anyone know where this setting might be controlled, or what could be causing it to not show up in my lessons?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hello:
After several years of using Learnpress, I’m leaving you with some recommendations for improvements that could be useful for all users and very necessary for my project.
I have other more technical tips, about configuration improvements, but for those I’ll make a different topic for each one.
This is a collection of simple suggestions and I’m putting them all together in the same topic.
1.- Text editor for question explanations
The text field for question explanations should include an editor because many times it’s necessary to include an image accompanying a text or a link and for users who don’t have knowledge of HTML code to be able to easily insert these elements into the explanation of a question.
2.- Customizing Negative Marking
Learnpress allows to do negative marking on questions, activating the function for failure or omission in exams, subtracting the same score as the question. If the question has 1 point, 1 point is subtracted for the failure or omission.
It would be interesting if could be configured the custom figure for negative marking, because in training sectors, 1 is used for success and 0.5 for failure/omission.
Something like this
3.- Differentiating between incorrect and omitted answers in results
When reviewing exams, it would be good if the questions marked as incorrect distinguished between incorrect and omitted answers, not that both were incorrect.
4.- Increase the number of quizzes a student can see on their profile
By default, Learnpress displays 5 quizzes on the user profile under the Quizzes tab. It should be more or at least allow the admin to customize how many they want to display.
A student doesn’t want to check only their last five quizzes, they want to check and review all of them.
This can be changed via code, in the quizzes.php file in the /profile_tabs directory, but it needs to be changed on every update and it would be nice if it was a setting in the admin area.
5.- Course Finished Notice
When a user finishes a course after taking the last quiz or completing the last piece of content, an End Course button appears on the Single Course Item page of the course lesson or quiz.
That’s nice, but it would be nice to have a pop-up or some kind of message appear somewhere alerting/notifying the user that they have finished the course.
The button is visible, sure, but accompanying it with a clearly visible message would improve the user experience.
6.- Error when combining word strings in different places
When you program the plugin you use word strings that can be translated (Loco Translate) and others that cannot.
The ones that can be translated are sometimes reused in different places, because they are the same word, so if you translate it or modify its translation, it changes in all positions.
For example this string: Questions
But it is a mistake, they aren’t the same concept nor does it show the same information.
The one above in the list indicates the total number of questions and the one below in the table shows the number of correct questions in relation to the total number of questions. They are different numbers.
Therefore, the one below should not share a string with the other and have its own string like Goals or Hits or Total Hits/Questions.
This also happens with Failed which is used in the exam result but also in the Order list when a payment fails or is suspended. They are not the same, they should not use the same string in order to translate the exam words differently from the Order words. In Spanish, for example, there is a word to “Fallado” (Fail – payment) than “Suspendido” (Fail – Exam).
7.- Add progress bar to custom course pages
When use a Demo Kit like Classic or Main, the basic ones, they have a progress bar on the course page.
But when use Thim Elementor Kit to customize the Single Course page templates, there is no progress bar widget to add. Single Course Item pages do have the progress bar widget, but Single Course pages don’t.
This progress bar widget should be in all Demo Kits by default, for Single Course pages.
That’s all folks!!
Thanks for your attention. Regards.
Hopefully You Develop New Quiz Feature Like Moodle
When viewing a course, the list of lesson titles on the left hand side has inconsistent text justification. Lesson titles are centered unless they break across two lines, in which case they are left-aligned.
I’ve tried applying text-align:left;
to various elements in the HTML without success.
Edit: This also happens on the course overview page, but it only becomes apparent when the page is viewed on a narrow browser such as a mobile. For an example, see https://cfmasterclass.org/courses/tom-armstrong/
