also to stop spammers, is there any way to use recaptcha for adding new listing?
]]>I finally got my Google Maps API key, and trying to get map coordinates for my listings. When I enter the address in the “Address on map” field, then click the Find button, a message pops up that says, “[website] says you are not the author,” and refuses to continue.
What is up with this? Because I know it’s not because I’m not the author.
]]>I just installed Lava Directory on my test site (not accessible to the public – sorry). I love it so far, but ran into what I think will end up being a very small problem.
I have a couple of listings, and a working listingS page.
Per the docs, I created a “mypage” page, that I called “Business Details” – a normal WordPress page – that contains the following shortcode in the content of the page: [lava_directory_mypage]
Then, in the settings, I set the Page Settings -> My Page to the “Business Details” page I created.
When I click on one of the listings from the listings page, I get “Page Not Found”.
What am I missing?
Thanks!
]]>Hi guys,
I wanted to know the following:
Filter logic: When using the tick boxes to filter the categories is it possible to have an “AND” and an “OR” logic, so that when ticking to boxes that it only shows the fields where both apply to?
Amenities filter: is it also possible to filter Amenities (preferrable with tick boxes) and “AND” / “OR” filter logic?
Thank you very much!

]]>When using Javo Directory Theme or javo Spot the search of keywords stored in the Lava Directory manager is not working like it should.
If you fill in the search keyword in the search for on the home page then nothing gets displayed.
If you use the Google search it will display the search result
If you choose Location in the home page form then you will not get directed to the correct search result UNLESS – and that seems to be the problem you access before the map page itself and you RESET the complete form.
It seems that Lava Directory is keeping the keywords in his memory and then using it again and again until you have reset the form.
The same happens when you are using Map page and reset the form.
Then enter a keyword
Now call listsing view and you get the result displayed
Now on Listing you DELETE the keyword and instead put a location – as a result you won’t get anything displayed unless the location has also the keyword which you just deleted.
There is no way to reset the the searches on Homepage or on the Listings page, nor is there a way to set the page itself to uncached as this might be also a problem.
When you go back to Map View and RESET the search for there, then go back to List view and again enter the location and all items to that location will get displayed correct.
—
Solution
There must be a reset the form Button on all Views and actually also on the pages, the search form gets inserted.
Additionally, an automatism needs to get implemented so if you delete a search term i.e. a keyword, then it should first RESET the keywords field also in all other views and not reusing its forms and values.
Please let me know what other solution you would recommend so that lava directory manager is useful and displaying search results correctly.
Additionally we just found out that when doing the search on Mobile from the search form it is not redirecting if NOT the google search is used.
It simply goes back to the same page again – if the search form is on the home page then it displays the home page. IN other words lava directory manager seems to ignore Theme settings of the grid search which actually says that the resulting page is the Map page and not the home page!
Performing the search from the Map page it displays the results of the location search correct
Another finding the keyword does not get deleted by reset you need to delete it manually
Probably the directory can’t handle other languages than those written with latin letters!
If you enter parts of the author name into the keywords a result will show up!
Thanks
Hi I hope you are fine and willing to answer questions without transferring us to a closed site!
Our customer is using this lava directory manager and a legal version of the javo directory version 3 and he can’t submit any items when he is using a MAC OSX or IOS Device!
Also, the submit form seems not to be compatible with mobile responsive design, as it does not resize when 1440 width has been chosen in the Theme Settings.
Besides, that we would like to address several security issues we found:

Indeed we got called by that customer as his site got hacked after installing converting his site to version 3 of javo-directory Theme he purchased on Themeforest.
The Theme itself looks great – really nice but seems to have severe security issues as we checked also other files of the theme with even red alerts of the WordPress plugin inspector! I would recommend that those parts really get solved to be green when checked in the plugin inspector.
It is very sad that none of the questions here get actually solved concerning the lava directory manager and instead all requests get tried to get monetized by Javo who seems to maintain that lava directory manager.
A last question concerning that Map plugin Lava provides. Does it allow to locate and center the map on mobile devices with GPS enabled. Which means is it possible to tab and then the exact location data gets stored on the spot the editor is standing when entering data and taking images with the mobile device which get uploaded.
Of course this would be only really useful at all if the submit would also work. We tested the map functionality but weren’t able to get actually the exact GPS data from the mobile device entered into the form.
Some themes i.e. the residence theme from ana (a really great one) can get the exact location on the map and form, as well as many other directory themes which are using a map.
Thanks a lot for your nice theme and I hope you can solve out all issues soon also of the plugins you are using.

Hi,
I’m tying to use this great plugin, but I have a problem:
The item are listed on a page with the “Lava Map Template”, but when I click on an item title, it brings me to a “Page not found” page, with an URL containing “listing” in it.
Could you tell me what I should do to get it to work ?
Thanks,
Clement
edit : the error message is the same if I follow the link from the bottom “last added listing” widget, or with the permalink when I’m editing the item’s page.

]]>Hello,
Is your plugin fully compatible with buddypress and bbpress ?
Thank you,
Olivier.
Hi, I run a directory site (https://www.webesy.com) using the Javo Spot Directory theme. I’m running into an issue using Lava Directory manager in that users can submit Listings via the front end and be listed as the post author, but there is no option to go into an already published post and change the author of it.
The “claim” feature does not really work as I expected it to; users that have already signed up for the site cannot be approved when they submit a claim, as the form works by creating a new username! This seems backwards to me; I’d love to be able to change the author of a listing if the person who claims it is already a member of the site. Any help with this would be wonderful; I can’t figure out where to start.
On a related note, I’d also like to be able to use the loop to display all of the listings by a specific user in that user’s profile. For some reason, everything I’ve tried to accomplish this hasn’t worked.
Thanks so much for any support!
Hey Lavas ??
Talked with the developers of Javo Spot and they told me, that maybe you could help me with: How to change the slug /listings to /myslughere
– yeees?
PS: Not afraid of some dirty work! ??
Thanks for your time & the plugin
Hello
I have purchased the following addons to add to my Javospot theme but I am not able to activate them in my WordPress account directly as described by doing the update check:
-Lava Directory Custom Field
-Lava Directory Video
-Lava Directory Header Search
-Lava Get Direction
I am using the Javo Spot Theme for my website. I have set up 4 ‘products’ which are different listing levels (base, standard, principale, VIP). Currently, once a customer purchases one of these packages, they are required to go to their page and select add listing.
I noticed however that if the customer choose the “base” level which have only “1” listing that after he insert one listing he have again the option to insert othe listing too.
How do I ensure that once a package is purchased the customer is automatically directed to the add item page with only the features of that package?
Is seems that is not working correctly.
I recently purchased a number of Lava Directory add ons, including the Custom Field Add On. Not only does it not give me the option to create custom fields under JavoSpot Theme Options -> Listings, but it breaks the listing editor page and displays this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/sipofthe/public_html/wp-content/plugins/lava-directory-custom-field/includes/class-core.php on line 255
I sent an email to the support team but have not heard anything back.
]]>you can check also your demo site eg

This however gives them the ability to use all functions, meaning that someone that buys a basic package has the VIP listing benefits. How do I ensure that once a package is purchased the customer is automatically directed to the add item page with only the features of that package?
Also, is there a way for customers to add their own amenities, keywords, locations etc.
]]>I looked at the documentation and demo sites and it looked cool, so I couldn’t understand why not many people had installed it yet. So I went to the product description and read “Lava directory manager plugin is for preperty” and I wondered if maybe something as simple as that little mistake was enough to put people off.
My own view is very attuned to the issue after years of installing poorly designed products, so if I see a mistake in the first line of the sales pitch it tells me that either the pitch is not in your own language or you didn’t take enough care. Either way, I am on my guard immediately.
Now I am looking for reasons to support my hunch rather reasons to download, install, set-up and see it it does all you say it does.
Even now I don’t know what it is you are trying to with that first sentence “Lava directory manager plugin is for preperty” Were you trying to say Lava is intended for real estate owners, sellers, managers, buyers, or some other kind of “property”? If so, why limit a database (horizontal) to a niche market (vertical) ~ no matter how big?
I am confused, so as I my application is nothing to do with “property” I haven’t installed.
And I just wonder how many other people took a similar view?
