My excerpts have a left-aligned image that the text wraps around. In my blog, I have hspace="5"
but the latest posts widget seems to strip that out, so the images are right next to the text. I’ve tried manually adding hspace="5"
to the LPS text in the footer but it made no difference. Is there a way to get a bit of space added here?
I’ve tried the shortcode both within the post text and in the footer, and there is just way too much vertical space between the posts, and even between the title and the first post. I’ve gone over and over the settings but can’t figure out how to reduce this gap. I’ve tried the default height and, currently, 1ps height, but it’s the same thing. Help?[latest-selected-content ver="2" limit="4" display="title, excerpt" titletag="h4" url="yes" elements="26" default_height="1px" tablet_height="1px" mobile_height="1px" type="post" status="publish" orderby="dateD"]
Hello, since last week the links in the images do not work. It happens to me on all the web pages that I have to use your plugins.
Thank you.
I have been tasked with developing a timer for the slider (days, not seconds!). How would you approach this?
Currently, I am thinking of the following approaches:
1. hack (86400 seconds)
2. javascript integration (any experiences with this?)
3. modifying the plugin (how much php can I learn in a month?)
When trying to create a slider, I get the:
Error loading block: The response is not a valid JSON response.
I kinda narrowed it down to filtering – when trying to select a Category, or a Tag, it breaks ??
]]>Hi,
Thanks again for this superb plugin.
Under extra options, I have chosen to show a custom taxonomy for each listed item. This works fine, except that the name of the custom taxonomy is clickable. Because of the way I have configured WordPress this points to a nonexistant page.
Is it possible to configure this option so that the custom taxonomy isn’t a hyperlink, please?
Thanks,
Philip
]]>Hi,
I need help
Set H2, strong, etc… in Post Appearance > Title Wrap, don’t work
WordPress version: 6.4.2
LPS version: 11.6.0
Hi there,
Thanks for the great plugin.
I’m having a small issue when I first log into the website there is a gap between the panels vertically. So there is 4 panels in total (2 horizontally and then another 2 panels on the next line below). When first log onto the website there is a big gap between the top two panels and bottom 2 panels.
I’m using pagination. When i click onto the next page using this pagination there is no gap. Then when i go back to the home page by clicking page 1 on the pagination menu below the gap is gone and it looks better. Edit: Just to note, I cleared cache on browser and still got same also.
Do you know how i could fix this issue by chance?
thank you
Sean
Code I’m using:
[latest-selected-content ver=”2″ perpage=”4″ showpages=”5″ pagespos=”1″ display=”title,excerpt-small” titletag=”b” chrlimit=”52″ url=”yes” linktext=”Read more” image=”large” elements=”25″ color_text=”#FF3366″ image_opacity=”0.25″ css=”two-columns as-overlay has-shadow has-title-nodecoration hover-zoom hover-highlight content-center light” type=”post” orderby=”dateD” show_extra=”ajax_pagination,light_spinner,tags,taxpos_tags_after-title”]

]]>This plugin is fantastic. It works great on posts when I call it, but I’m trying to use it within a php script, so when we create pages for customers, a form can autopopulate the tag that feeds this.
It pulls the content properly, but the styling gets stripped out when i call via php. Is there a workaround I could do? Here is the code:
<?php $value = get_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'insighttag', true);
echo do_shortcode('[latest-selected-content ver="2" limit="24" perpage="3" showpages="more" loadtext="Load More" pagespos="1" display="title" titletag="h4" url="yes" image="full" elements="25" size_title="20px" image_ratio="16/9" css="three-columns has-shadow hover-highlight content-center" type="post" status="publish" tag="'. $value . '" orderby="dateD" show_extra="light_spinner"]');
?>
]]>
I’ve got a strange issue.
I’ve added the code in elementor, and it works fine, and looks fine:
But when I’m looking on the live site, the “posts” are below each other…
And I’m using the code:
[latest-selected-content ver="2" limit="3" display="date,title,content-small" titletag="h3" url="yes" linktext="L?s mer ?" image="thumbnail" elements="26" css="three-columns h-image-info has-shadow has-radius content-space-between has-img-spacing" type="post" status="publish" dauthor="yes" orderby="random"]
]]>
The plugin has a function to display “read more” button at the bottom of the posts. But the ‘Read More’ which is supposed to be a button, does not work as a button, it works like a simple text instead. Is there any way to make it work as a button and go to respective post when clicked ?
]]>Hi! Really grateful for this plugin!
I am needing help with a couple of things. I want to display three posts in a row, with the image on top and the Title right below that and the date right below that. I am using this shortcode and it does it almost perfectly, except the posts are listed in a column on top of each other instead of in a row and I would like to decrease the gap between the image and title. Any advice would be much appreciated!
[latest-selected-content ver=”2″ limit=”3″ display=”title,date” titletag=”h4″ url=”yes” image=”medium” elements=”26″ default_height=”0rem” css=”three-columns as-column has-shadow has-radius align-center content-space-between” status=”publish” orderby=”dateD”]
]]>This plugin is really versatile and easy to configure. But I am starting to use it on a client’s website and am struggling to change the aspect ratio of the images. I need to display posts with their featured image shown as a rectangle, in landscape. However I cannot work out how to change the images from being square.
Do I need to define new image sizes in WordPress (then regenerate all the thumbnails) or is there some setting in the configuration which I can use to change the shape of the tiles/images?
Thanks for your help!
]]>Hi!
It seems like your plugin is what I’m looking for, but, I would like to show the post of the “current” author, so I can use it on the “post” page, and display all the other posts of the same user.
There is an option where I can enter a author ID, but can’t find any option for “current author”
]]>I have:
WordPress version 6.2.2
Active theme: Twenty Twenty-Three (version 1.1)
Current plugin: Latest Post Shortcode (version 11.4.0)
PHP version 7.4.33
When I go to edit a page that contains the shortcode, which I couldn’t configure because the button appears nowhere, I get a critical error WSOD.
I had entered the bare shortcode, found no button, exited the page to see what I could find out, and when I attempted to edit the page again, the error appeared instead. I can easily reproduced this.
I am doing this on a test page that has no links to it, so it’s not disabling my site. The plugin is, of course, disabled.
]]>I am using the plugin to generate a list of refurbished bikes which are available to people in our community who are on low incomes. I want to make it easy for people to see which bikes are the right size for them. I have some custom fields linked which hold that information. So in the Post Appearance, rather than selecting Title, I would like to display ‘Bike Number’, ‘Make and Model’ and ‘Frame Size’.
I guess it is beyond the scope of the plugin to be able to pick custom fields visually, but I wondered if it is possible to write something in the short-code to display custom fields? Or if not, are there any hooks within the plugin which I could use to write a filter for my own output?
Thanks again for such a flexible and useful plugin.
]]>Love the plugin; really flexible and great to use, thanks. On occasions there will not be any matching posts to display. Rather than leaving an empty space I would like to display a message which tells people that there is nothing available now, but to come back later. I cannot see a configuration option to display a message like that, but maybe I am missing something. Is this possible, please?
