My excerpts have a left-aligned image that the text wraps around. In my blog, I have hspace="5" but the latest posts widget seems to strip that out, so the images are right next to the text. I’ve tried manually adding hspace="5" to the LPS text in the footer but it made no difference. Is there a way to get a bit of space added here?

I’ve tried the shortcode both within the post text and in the footer, and there is just way too much vertical space between the posts, and even between the title and the first post. I’ve gone over and over the settings but can’t figure out how to reduce this gap. I’ve tried the default height and, currently, 1ps height, but it’s the same thing. Help?

Thanks again for this superb plugin.

Under extra options, I have chosen to show a custom taxonomy for each listed item. This works fine, except that the name of the custom taxonomy is clickable. Because of the way I have configured WordPress this points to a nonexistant page.

Is it possible to configure this option so that the custom taxonomy isn’t a hyperlink, please?

Thanks for the great plugin.

I’m having a small issue when I first log into the website there is a gap between the panels vertically. So there is 4 panels in total (2 horizontally and then another 2 panels on the next line below). When first log onto the website there is a big gap between the top two panels and bottom 2 panels.

I’m using pagination. When i click onto the next page using this pagination there is no gap. Then when i go back to the home page by clicking page 1 on the pagination menu below the gap is gone and it looks better. Edit: Just to note, I cleared cache on browser and still got same also.

Do you know how i could fix this issue by chance?

The Icon for in the classic editor, to insert a code, is visible for all users, even contributors, I think it should be only visible to admins, Is there anyway to hide the button?, Don’t want guestusers to use the code,,

This plugin is fantastic. It works great on posts when I call it, but I’m trying to use it within a php script, so when we create pages for customers, a form can autopopulate the tag that feeds this.

It pulls the content properly, but the styling gets stripped out when i call via php. Is there a workaround I could do? Here is the code:

I’ve got a strange issue.

The plugin has a function to display “read more” button at the bottom of the posts. But the ‘Read More’ which is supposed to be a button, does not work as a button, it works like a simple text instead. Is there any way to make it work as a button and go to respective post when clicked ?

I am needing help with a couple of things. I want to display three posts in a row, with the image on top and the Title right below that and the date right below that. I am using this shortcode and it does it almost perfectly, except the posts are listed in a column on top of each other instead of in a row and I would like to decrease the gap between the image and title. This plugin is really versatile and easy to configure. But I am starting to use it on a client’s website and am struggling to change the aspect ratio of the images. I need to display posts with their featured image shown as a rectangle, in landscape. However I cannot work out how to change the images from being square.

Do I need to define new image sizes in WordPress (then regenerate all the thumbnails) or is there some setting in the configuration which I can use to change the shape of the tiles/images?

It seems like your plugin is what I’m looking for, but, I would like to show the post of the “current” author, so I can use it on the “post” page, and display all the other posts of the same user.

There is an option where I can enter a author ID, but can’t find any option for “current author”

I have:
WordPress version 6.2.2
Active theme: Twenty Twenty-Three (version 1.1)
Current plugin: Latest Post Shortcode (version 11.4.0)
PHP version 7.4.33

When I go to edit a page that contains the shortcode, which I couldn’t configure because the button appears nowhere, I get a critical error WSOD.

I had entered the bare shortcode, found no button, exited the page to see what I could find out, and when I attempted to edit the page again, the error appeared instead. I can easily reproduced this.

I am doing this on a test page that has no links to it, so it’s not disabling my site. The plugin is, of course, disabled.

I am using the plugin to generate a list of refurbished bikes which are available to people in our community who are on low incomes. I want to make it easy for people to see which bikes are the right size for them. I have some custom fields linked which hold that information. So in the Post Appearance, rather than selecting Title, I would like to display ‘Bike Number’, ‘Make and Model’ and ‘Frame Size’.

I guess it is beyond the scope of the plugin to be able to pick custom fields visually, but I wondered if it is possible to write something in the short-code to display custom fields? Or if not, are there any hooks within the plugin which I could use to write a filter for my own output?

Love the plugin; really flexible and great to use, thanks. On occasions there will not be any matching posts to display. Rather than leaving an empty space I would like to display a message which tells people that there is nothing available now, but to come back later. I cannot see a configuration option to display a message like that, but maybe I am missing something. Is this possible, please?

Recently I noticed that the pagination for isn’t working, whenever I try clicking a page with AJAX the loading spinner animation plays indefinitely and the normal pagination just loads a page with the same results.

Hi. I have upgraded the plugin to 11.1.0 but I can′t find the new styles helper? When I press LPS-button in Gutenberg editor, the ordinary helper appears but without a styles helper section. Any tips?

Since 48 hours ago, this plugin has caused my site to be inaccessible when people try using www. If going to the site without www, they can access no problem.

I have had to deactivate the plugin to get the site stable again. Any info on how to deal with the issue?

I’ve been very pleased with the ease and customization of this plugin. I am still in the draft phase of building a blog page. When I first added the shortcode, I configured it to link to the full post from the “read more” link. After a few days, the text and link disappeared. I have tried replacing the code several times. I’m liking the slider a lot for its relatively low-use of server resources. Is there some way to change the hyperlink text color in the slides? Right now it’s using the native WordPress theme options, which is a difficult color to read on top of an image.

Hi, i am using LPS on a website i made for a client and i have encountered a peculiar problem.

When i am logged in the admin everything displays nice. Immediatly after i log out the content that should be listed trought LPS dissapears. Below the sequences.
