Not sure if this plugin is being maintained, but here is my issue: on both https://fncll.org/ and a test site https://fncll.org/astratest/ with debugging on, the console indicates no problems:
last.fm.records: adding css for element #lastfmrecords
last.fm.records.js?ver=1.0:90 last.fm.records: adding temporary cd covers to div lastfmrecords
last.fm.records.js?ver=1.0:90 last.fm.records: https://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.getrecenttracks&limit=&user=fncll&api_key=81e2fbf93109656d0e9897a542f7a825&format=json&callback=?
last.fm.records.js?ver=1.0:90 last.fm.records: last fm returned 51 records.
last.fm.records.js?ver=1.0:90 last.fm.records: set timer to refresh covers in 3 minutes for element lastfmrecords.
But no content is displayed.
Hi, I’m enjoying this plugin so far.
I was wondering if there was a way to set a specific date range for the top tracks or albums to display. For example, I want to create a weekly post that showed the top albums that I was listening to that week, and not have it update on subsequent weeks. Is there anyway to do this with this plugin?
Hi, if there are anyone here…
Suddenly the plugin stop working. No one from last fm is showed on the page and the error I have in Java console is this:

Hello,
I like your plugin, thanks.
But I noticed that the urls are broken, when you click on the images in the widget – it seems that ‘:’ is missing – or am I missing something?
Have a look here: https://lektoren.dk/
Hi,
it’s possible to display the number of Total Playcount scrobbled by User?
Like this:
https://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.getinfo&user=UserName&api_key=YOURAPIKEY&format=json
Thank you very much!
Great Plugin man, very customizable.. I like this way to work ??
I’ve a little question:
can I, via shortcode, resize the Cover image?
For example in this shortcode:
[lastfmrecords user="UserName" period="lovedtracks" count="10" stylesheet="simple"]
Tnx!!
I used this plugin previously and now that I’m done exams I decided to try and show data from last.fm on the following webpage
I’m definitely rusty when it comes to JavaScript does it matter what version of jQuery I use does it have to be hosted locally? I get the following error after uncommenting out defaultthumb gif
‘_addTempCovers — last.fm.records.js:503TypeError: undefined is not a function (near ‘….on(‘error’, function()…’)’
You can see the whole stack trace unless I fix it tonight, today has not been a good JavaScript day. I tried putting the default image in with the javascript maybe I’ll try using a local copy jQuery too… I prefer to keep images in a directory other than with the .js files. It doesn’t seem to matter what I do, I spent a lot of time debugging APIs in the past some obscure artists can cause trouble, those with strange names etc. my Last.fm account name is “Muskie” but I can’t swear I won’t listen to any music ever again.
Hi there,
your plugin is great and exactly that what I’m searching for. But the only thing I’m missing is to have visible text caption, not just a tool tip for what the image is. The visitors want to READ what the cover stands for. The fewest will find the tool tip text!
I saw your Amazon wishlist… I’m curious! ??
Im getting this error message at the top of the page:
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘stylesheet’ in /home/thecra32/public_html/wp-content/plugins/lastfm-records/last.fm.records.php on line 125
heres a link to it:
Would you consider changing the LASTFM_WS_URL to use HTTPS instead of HTTP? It shouldn’t have any impact on pages served over HTTP, but it will prevent content security warnings on blogs served securely.
Also, should the plugin allow you to enter your own API key instead of using a hard-coded value?
Best regards,

Hmm is there a way to make this plugin center on a a responsive page. If this is up to my theme might you have clue on how to center it?
Hello!
I’ve been using your plugin for a while and it’s reaaly great ?? However, I’ve seen today that it’s not refreshing the covers/links for a month almost. Are you aware of any issue? https://devargas.com.es/blog-this/
Thank you in advance.

Hi Jeron,
Thanks for the excellent widget which I’ve been using for years(!) now with near to know problems.
Unfortunately over the last 24 hours the widget has disappeared completely from the footer of my blog https://www.evilgenius.org.uk (‘Emergency Frequency’ section – which usually fills the gap with 10 album covers at 105 square pixels – 2 by 5 layout).
I haven’t changed anything behind the scenes on the site but a couple of other widgets did update the other day so could that be responsible for the conflict.
Any help/advice appreciated.
Thanks again
Dan
I recently change my wordpress theme and now the plugin doesn’t work.
My site is: https://eliott.scelabs.com (It should be shown in the ‘Música’ sidebar widget)
I turned on the debug option and check the javascript console but there is not any error.
There’s a warning:
“event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead. “
but I don’t think this is the cause.
I hope you can help me! Thanks!
Any word on an upgrade? Updated to 3.6 and a ton of stuff is now broken on my website, including this plugin. Should have known better.
Thanks.
After installing the plugin the plugin main page cannot be loaded. After manualy removing the plugin with Filezilla the page loads again.
Something is seriously wrong. Hope you can fix it.
Hey,
can you give me an advice how to shortcode if i want to show Albums — last 3 months?
Thanks
Martin
Hi, the widget displays two covers for each album. The first refreshes to the cover art after a moment, the second stays as the default album art image and functions as a link to the current page displayed on the site.
Any ideas where the problem lies so I can fix it?
( E.g. https://sambice.net/?page_id=166 )
Cheers,
Sam
Hello There! Your plugin works perfectly, I am just wondering how to center the group of albums in a page.
I have tried creating a
in the page and putting the shortcode inside (with text-align:center) but the images show up all cropped in weird rectangles and with big horizontal spaces between them.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Howdy — Love the plugin, you da man. Quick question: is there any way to pull larger album art? I dove into the .js and see that you’ve built a function to get the largest available size… but I go onto lastfm itself and there are definitely larger images available. I obviously see/know that I can make the images themselves display larger via the admin settings/css… but any way to pull higher-res art? Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for this plugin.
Any way to link to your last.fm profile in the widget somewhere?
Say in the widget title?
thanks again.
Hi,
Recently updated your plugin to the latest version. Since then I have issues with showing cover art for any of the album settings. I’ve tried all other settings and they show cover art with out any issues.
Do any other users any issues with this?
Cheers!

Hi,
I was using the plugin for a while and loved it. It stopped working at some point though and the debugging to Javascript console isn’t giving me a lot to go on. I’m displaying it in the RHS of my WordPress blog at https://www.anthonymcg.com . The console output is:
last.fm.records: adding css for element #lastfmrecords last.fm.records.js:83
last.fm.records: adding temporary cd covers to div lastfmrecords last.fm.records.js:83
last.fm.records: https://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.getrecenttracks&limit=2&user=anthonymcg&api_key=fbfa856cc3af93c43359b57921b1e64e&format=json&callback=? last.fm.records.js:83
last.fm.records: last fm returned 2 records. last.fm.records.js:83
last.fm.records: set timer to refresh covers in 3 minutes for element lastfmrecords.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Anthony.
Hey Jeroen,
I recently started getting the (undefined ago) tooltip on my Last.FM Records install, though I haven’t changed anything since it was working last.
I’m using Chrome, and have updated to WP 3.5, if that matters.
Hi Jeroen
I see that your plugin adds this …

… to the header of every page, yet I only show albums on the About Us page of our site. I know how to disable enqueue scripts (done for JQuery, etc) but not sure how to disable your code apart from on one page.
Any ideas how I can do this?
Thanks in advance!
Mark
Hi there
I may be doing something wrong, but I’ve added the plugin to my site, I’ve set my last.fm name in the Plugin settings and saved … then added the shortcode on a template file, using echo do_shortcode … yet I am seeing YOUR data, not mine ??
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Mark
Hallo Jeroen:
Thanks a lot for this wonderful plug-in!
Using it on my web site david-simons.com
However, since a few months, either due to WordPress or plug-in upgrade, the album covers fail to resize (down to 40 pix wide), both in plain and hover mode.
All other settings configuration are respected by the widget.
Both on IE9 on Windows and Chrome on Android browsers.
Any suggestions, please?
Hartelijke groet!
David
Hi there!
First, thank you a lot for sharing this plugin. I’ve been using it for years on my blog, and I’ve been pretty happy with it.
However, I decided to stay stuck on version 1.4.1 because it allows me to display recent albums, which the latest version does not, unfortunately.
Could it be possible to get this option back please? That would be awesome.
Many thanks in advance!
This plugin was exactly what I was looking for, but in my tooltip hovers, the band/titles of my recent tracks are followed by “(Undefined ago)” instead of a time of some sort. I did just realize that when I’m currently listening to a track, it says “(Listening now)” in place of the “(Undefined ago)” message, but it’s the same for the past tracks.
Also, is there any way to get the links to open in a new window/tab using the shortcode?
Here’s the shortcode I’m using:
[lastfmrecords user=”justbishop” period=”recenttracks” count=”10″]
Hi,
For the last couple of days the widget hasn’t been displaying properly on my website via the widget. I am running the current edition of both WP and the widget and have not touched either before or after the disappearance. At present the site is simply showing a gap where the results should be (www.evilgenius.org.uk).
I realise there have been similar problems from the couple of posts below but without an active knowledge of short-codes (even after Googling!) I’m still a bit confused about what to do.
Thanks for any help/updates you can give – it’s a great app.
