Is Kite no longer supporting WordPress/Woocommerce?
It still shows as an option in the Kite site linking to this plugin but with no download option.
I uploaded an image, got to step 2, put it where I wanted it to be printed, but when I click on “confirm changes” it doesn’t leave step 2.
The button disappears and it doesn’t go anywhere. Not even an error page.
]]>Whenever I click on a picture in my WooCommerce store, the image of the product doesn’t show. It’s completely blank, except for a product description. I can’t figure out how to change the product description, either. Also, the app seems to slow down the website. The “Load More” button is unresponsive, and the images take a long time to load, so it doesn’t load the picture of the product for a few minutes. Some images don’t load at all. The app seems to place them in a page called “Store”, which I can’t access from the WordPress dashboard. Is there a way to fix all of these problems?
]]>I have just activated the Kite.ly plugin for WooCommerce and I don’t know how to get started. Is there a guide? There are no instructions and I am not clear on how this will integrate with my existing store. I am using Printful for the US but need EU (ISO) paper sizes so I would like to use Kite as well. Will I be able to use both – and for the same products? For example, if I have a design that I want to offer in different print sizes, some from Printful and some from Kite, will I be able to do so as one product with multiple attributes? Kite.ly could do a better job making their plugin user-friendly or at least providing detailed set up instructions.
]]>I have set everything up on the plugin & also the web user section.
I have uploaded image & set up products. pricing, shiping image sizes etc.
I have also setup woocommerce correctly.
However when I click on the publish products button from the wordpress plugin, it remains on 0%. Nothing seems to be working or uploading.
I have downloaded the latest updates for plugins, wordpress, translations, & themes.
I have changed to basic wordpress theme.
I have disabled all plugins besides kite & woocommerce
Any help would be greatly apreciated as the plugin & service looks very impresive.
Kind Regards,
Karol Ryan
I can’t filter Kite-products by color, brand ect. All products seems to have local attributes but i didn’t found a handy way to convert them to global.
Do you can change the way how attributes are implemented by the plugin?
]]>For SEO optimisation it is best to have product URLs configured to contain text that is relevant to the products. However, when i set the permalink options in wordpress to the correct settings, the resulting URLs in the woo commerce shop are incorrectly formed.
I am not sure if this is a problem that relates to kite.ly or not. I suspect not, but I thought I would check here first because the problem is so obvious that I guess it would be fixed quickly in woo commerce and yet I see it here.
If I set the ‘Common Settings’ option for permalinks in wordpress to the ‘Post name’ option, then i can also choose a setting specifically for products further down the permalinks options page. However, no matter what I choose, the actual links in the shop are malformed. E.g. instead of seeing something like:
https://www.myshop.com/products/flip-flops-3/
And when i visit that link I am taken to my main website since the link doesn’t work.
Any idea what the problem might be here?
thanks
Hello

]]>When I share product pages created from Kite.ly on Facebook, i don’t see a product image because the relevant metadata fields are not being added to the page’s head.
If I install Yoast SEO, I then get the metatags added, but the correct image is not being loaded for the product – instead of the product image i see a kite placeholder image: https://image.kite.ly/render/?background=00000000&format=png&image=https://s3.amazonaws.com/kiteshopify/2f565df2-8fa8-4198-9060-5adef0239f64.png&product_id=flip_flops&variant=cover&fill_mode=fit&print_image=false&scale=1&translate=0,0&rotate=0&size=800×800
is there a recommended way to automatically get the correct sharing information added to kitely products?
thanks
]]>Greetings!
I am setting up my shop here and notice that I am unsure how I define which specific colour of clothing product is to be used as the default in the front-end shop interface. I have designs that are mainly light and mainly dark, yet all of my t-shirts and hoodies are listed with the black colour and not only is that a bit repetitive, but i cannot sell dark designs.
I can see that I have an option in the product viewing page in the admin area to choose whether all colours are available in the shop or not, but whatever i set that to it doesn’t change the default.
What have I missed?
thanks
]]>I just setup a shop in woo commerce and created a product using your plugin.
when i view the product in the shop it has a bright pink coloured background.
i examined the HTML and found that there is an 8 digit number being used to represent the background colour and it is set to 8 zeros. i tried removing two of the zeros to make the 6 zero code for ‘black’ in HTML and the background correctly changed to be black.
is there somewhere i can set the colour? i haven’t seen that option anywhere yet.
thanks
Hi.
When I create a two sided product like a T-Shirt I only see the front of the product within WooCommerce. The Kite.ly plugin doesn’t create the backside as an additional product image.
]]>Hi,
I am testing your plugin.
Currently, I can add new products but when I try to see it on my store, I don’t see any “Buy button”, any size choosing dropdown, any color choice,…
And the magnifier on the product picture gives a black screen.
So, impossible to start a store like this.
Can you help me ?
HI there, just trying out the plugin but when publishing I am getting no images populating the products and everything showing as ‘out of stock’?
Any help would be appreciated! I’m using the latest version of the Kalium theme and all plugins up to date.
Hi,
I’ve been playing with your plugin and am impressed with the capabilities so far. I do see some issues though.
For instance, numerous shipping classes are created for the various products but none of the shipping classes actually get assigned to the products in woocommerce when you look at the woocommerce product setting – is this correct?
I also had an issue with the products being assigned to the wrong woocommerce categories – if the woocommerce categories did not exist already. found that if you first create the categories in woocommerce it will assign them correctly though.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi,
I am using wordpress 4.7.3 and woo commerce 2.6.14 but I am unable to install and activate your plugin. It breaks my website. I get 500 error but as soon as remove traces of your plugin it works. Can you help?

Don’t quite know what to do at this stage … ??

]]>Hey guys I am running woocommerce 3.0 and the latest wordpress and the newest version of your plugin. On setup i got an argument error on two of the lines of your plugin and it prevents me from creating shipping zones:

]]>When I try to publish products the loading page is stuck on 0% and nothing seems to happen. If I, however, go to the products page the products have been added but without any images.
I don’t know if anything else is missing for the products but the images are the most obvious error, I’ve tried this with two different themes.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I was trying to activate the plugin on my fresh new installation of WP+WooCommerce but I get this error:

]]>I get a lot of PHP errors on my local development version. It’s sensitive to pick up notices, warnings and errors and I just get a flood of them emanating from the Kite.ly plugin.
Looking forward to eventually being able to use this plugin, though!
]]>I was really looking forward to this plugin being release but when I did it crashed our private server (even though we were in test version of the website). I think the plugin needs looking at especially for the most current version of WP as it doesn’t seem to play nice with other plugins already installed.
]]>Hello,
Congrats on the integration release! This is somewhat of a review of the plugin, and discussion for support and continued development discussion.
I’m on all updated WP/WC and my other plugins are updated and have no conflicts as well, my private server is entirely updated and secure as well. I’m a web developer so I have a great grasp of PHP/SQL and installing programs/plugins/etc, so when I try a new plugin I usually expect they are built with technologically unsavvy consumers in mind, so I usually never have a problem with plugins, this will serve as the basis for my disgruntled review of the plugin’s initial release.
So my review of my initial test:
it’s not intuitive. Upon installing the plugin I expected to need to go to a settings page to input my API keys or login info for my Kite.ly account, there never was a prompt for this and I couldn’t find a settings area to connect the plugin to my kite.ly account, so not really sure how to proceed if the most basic thing for this type of plugin cannot be accomplished (the connection from my store to the dropshipper).
So that being said, I went through the plugin’s first steps to create a product, it was a bit annoying that it auto selects all products for creation during that process (I can see a lot of store owners accidentally creating all those products/variations and not meaning to), also with this type of service, it is a disservice to try getting people to bulk create the entire catalog using default settings, store owners should and probably do have more care and pride in their store than to dump that many products into their store without fine tuning and configuring each one – 1 at a time. Next, once I de-selected the entire catalog – I published 1 item (without a connection to my Kite.ly account I had no idea how this is supposed to work?). The publisher hanged on that screen for a while, I opened another tab to check my Products>Products page and saw my test product there (the images didn’t load, but not something I wanted to troubleshoot when I knew the plugin wasn’t actually connected to my Kite.ly account).
After the failure of my first two tests (connecting the plugin to kite.ly and creating a test product), I went on to explore the rest of the plugin, which was quick since there aren’t many variables to set or customize… I went ahead and used the shipping tool to automatically set up the zones and classes, which was nice to have that automated, the only downside being at de-activation you’re stuck with 100 shipping classes to manually remove (lol)… The uninstaller on the setting/tools page also claimed to remove Kite.ly products, which it did not (my test product had to be manually trashed).
If this was an actual review of the plugin, it would be 1 star. LoL. I’m excited to see another dropshipper/ondemand-printer attempt to bring their service to Woo, but this plugin still needs some work before I think it will be usable by anyone.
Thanks for building on the Woocommerce/Wordpress community and goodluck!
