]]>Hi,
I have several problems with 5.1.0 version and several errors appear in console : “Warning: ReactDOM.render is no longer supported in React 18. Use createRoot instead. Until you switch to the new API, your app will behave as if it’s running React 17.” It seems that Kirki is not compatible with React 18.

]]>Hello,
I am experiencing high memory usage related to the Kirki plugin, particularly with object cache commands, as highlighted by Query Monitor. The issue seems to occur when handling the kirki_googlefonts_cache
transient, which is consuming significant memory (up to 1.44 MB in some cases) and contributing to performance slowdowns.
Here are some key details from Query Monitor’s Object Cache section:
site-transient:kirki_googlefonts_cache
Kirki\GoogleFonts->get_google_fonts()
in GoogleFonts.php
This high memory usage from Kirki’s caching appears to be affecting my site’s performance, and I’m looking for insights on how to manage or reduce this overhead. The issue has persisted across PHP 8.1 and 8.2, so it doesn’t seem to be directly tied to the PHP version upgrade.
Has anyone encountered similar Object Cache-related performance issues with Kirki? Any recommendations on optimizing or limiting the memory impact of these cache commands would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help!

]]>Hello! our team found a issue with downloading fonts from google.
In file kirki/kirki-packages/module-webfonts/src/Webfonts/Downloader.php and function get_local_files_from_css($css)
Firstly the function of downloading and naming fonts does not work correctly, After a request to Google fonts it returns a file called “font”, without the .woff2 extension.
Secondly, it overwrites the fonts that were previously downloaded, i.e. if there are font weghts for 200, 300, 400, then it does not download everything but overwrites the font file.
To fix this issues, our team slightly modified your code, assigned a random name and added the .woff2 extension.

Can you please update your code?
thank you.

]]>Kirki Customizer Framework’s Blog: Listing setting offers various layout options such as masonry, list, etc. However, when I switch from one layout to another and then try to switch back, the blog listing doesn’t update accordingly.

In the theme settings, navigate to “Theme Setting” > “Blog: Listing” > “Blog layout”. This option completely changes the blog listing layout and post display.
]]>Hi All – About a day ago, the fonts on my site suddenly stopped displaying properly. I am using the Squaretype theme from Code Supply, but haven’t made any changes to the theme or added any plugins recently. The fonts appear correct when I look at them in the editor/live preview – see below.
This is the way they are displaying:
These are Google fonts (Libre Franklin and Poppins). I’ve tried to clear the font cache in Kirki and to reinstall both Kirki and my theme. Problem still persists. I don’t know if there is something wrong with the json calling from Google’s font API or what the issue is, but it’s very frustrating. If you refresh the site, you can see the correct font quickly flash for a split second, but then its gone. Can anyone help? TIA!

Will there be an update anytime soon?
Thank you.
]]>As many of you, I woke up and realised that my website had everything bold due to Kirki’s problem.
I tried to clear the cache from Kirki’s settings panel, but everything become Times New Roman.
Playing around I managed to find a workaround that worked for me (I’m using Shoptimizer which uses Kirk).
Basically, I created a CSS instruction like this:
body, button, input, select, option, textarea, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, .entry-content {
font-family: inherit !important;
}
In this way the font-family managed to reload the original ‘Inter’ font.
Hope it helps.

]]>Hi there,
across my staging website and normal website, there recently appears to be a problem with my fonts. It does not show correctly, but rather it shows in bold on the front end. When i click “Customize” it then shows normal when the customize panel is open.
