It looks like the plugin is not fully PHP8 compatible.
My debug.log
is full of deprecation warnings
PHP Deprecated: preg_match(): Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/website/wp-content/plugins/justified-gallery/includes/Utils/MobileDetect.php on line 1225
Is there a chance for an update to fix this issue?
Hi Mateusz,
Sorry to bother you, but I still haven’t managed to figure out the root of the problem (refer to ‘Bug with ver 1.8.0’ in the support forum). I’ve done some troubleshooting, but it’s still happening even with WP Rocket disabled and lazy loading for images turned off. I also use JetPack, but their Lazy Images feature is deprecated since lazy loading is now built into WordPress. Any other ideas about why this might be happening? (I have reverted back to Version 1.6.0).
Thanks!

Hi
The recent release causes my images to be cropped in gallery view. The full image width displays, but they are cropped top and bottom. I have tried various settings for row height and this still occurs. The watermark in my images is half cut due to the cropping, which makes it quite noticeable. In previous versions my images displayed correctly and uncropped, I have been a user for many years now.
I rolled back to a previous version on my live site for me. I have a staging site with the new plugin version, and can confirm the cropped occurs with the default WP theme and no other plugins activated. I can share a link to my staging site, if this is of assistance?
Cheers Janine
Hi Mateusz,
I have been using your plugin for a number of years and have found it to be terrific.
Today however upgrading from 1.7.3 to 1.8.0. I discovered a problem. At least on my blog the aspect ratio of the images changed (from regular 4:3 to 21:9) i.e., they looked squashed.
A couple of Screenshots:

Unfortunately, I had to roll back to version 1.7.3.
Can you please take a look at this issue and try and find a fix.
Thank you ??
LOVE this plugin! But with the last update to version 1.8.0, galleries using captions and “Layla” are unreadable as it is white text on a white overlay. It was beautiful before with the dark overlay, but the white…. yuck. But I have a couple clients for whom having the captions easy read when mousing over is very important.

Hi. It seems SwipeBox’s CSS and JS files are called even if we are using PhotoSwipe

Tried to remove them by myself but without success! Do you know how to do it ?
On one of my websites I get an internal server error when trying to access the admin settings page for the Justified Gallery plugin. The page does not load and the following WordPress error message appears: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” All other pages and the front-end galleries are still loading perfectly without any errors.
I tried disabling other plugins to see if there was a compatibility issue. When I disabled “Smart Slider 3” by Nextend the Justified Gallery settings page loaded without showing an error, but only the header and the 3 page tabs appeared while the contents of the tabs was still missing. The settings page used to load fine in the past but I haven’t looked at it for a few months so am not sure if there was any specific update which caused the issue.
I tried to replicate the issue on a second website by installing both plugins, but am not able to reproduce the error. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this issue, or suggestions of how to narrow it down further?
Here is some information about my setup:
Hi, thank you to share this free version
But ?? is there a good reason why the following library isn’t updated? Justified Gallery 3.6.4 / 3.8.1 (2020)
Hi,
I am facing almost the same issue that was already mentioned here. Every gallery I created using the “Justified Gallery” plugin are blurry, smushed and compressed in a square shape. I deleted the “Smush – Lazy Load Images, Optimize & Compress Images” plugin but that did not solved the problem.
Could you help me please?
Thank you ??
Hello,
when I want to show some photos in a WP article I’m using JG since years and I’m super happxy with it. Thanks for providing it. Normally I just use “[gallery orderby=name]“
Recently I wanted to try using a WP cache, I tested Cache Enabler, WP Super Cache and LiteSpeed Cache but with all of them JG didn’t work very well. I only could see the first image of the gallery over even none. Deleting the cache and reload the article shows the correct gallery, reload again (now from cache) is as described above.
Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
The free version of Justified Gallery is closed since 22.12.2022.
Is there a schedule for a new version here or is the plugin phasing out? Thanks for your feedback
Does the plugin have a support for loading images ie, – via a json feed?
Hi !
I can’t have a preview of my gallery when i’m writing a post.
The bloc doesn’t even show and if I want to select it I have to go to the “show the list” mode.
In front end everything works well.
I tried to update everything, and to uninstal/reinstall the plugin, but no luck.
Can you help ?
Thanks
So here are my settings:
Last row: Justify
Space between images: 10
Row height: 400
Max row height: -1
It looks perfect on my PC. But on my mobile phone, the gap between items becomes doubled.
It’s actually not just your plugin. I used another one called HTMega, which also uses Justified Gallery by Miro. However, when I used Miro’s scripts directly, the margin is normal, but some other issue arose (maybe I used it wrong). I’m not very good with JS. Really hope you could help me out. T-T

Hey there, first of all I want to say the plugin is great and I just have a small question: is it possible to assign different heights to different galleries? For example, the images in gallery #1 should be 230px high, in gallery #2 the images should be 130px high.
Thank you in advance and best regards,

Hello
I love this plugin and the way it works very well in already created galleries. I do have a question, tough: I have a photography website where I showcase several pages and posts with photos from every type, concept and sizes.
I have the height setup at 400px but I’m creating a post with a small grip with photos where I would like this, and only this gallery, could have the row height much smaller, like 200px. But the general settings affect all the galleries.
Is it possible to setup a gallery with a different row height?
Cheers

Hi friends.
I’m not sure it can be done in the free version, but I need captions to show underneath the images instead of just when hovering.
Actually I don’t mind the hovering method, but captions won’t show on mobile.
Any help?
Thanks!
Once upon a time, I set up a number of galleries that displayed (and still display) beautifully on my WordPress site. I used (use) the standard gallery shortcode. Though, nowadays – when I have switched to the Gutenberg editor that comes preinstalled on WordPress – I cannot create nor modify galleries.
I notice there is a block called “Justified gallery” … which is strangely categorized as “Text”. When I choose that block for creating a new gallery I get an error message that says (freely translated from Swedish to English):
“This block has run into a problem that cannot be previewed.”
Further, I understand that when the justified gallery plugin is active, the gallery overrides standard WordPress galleries. Though, when I create a standard gallery there is no trace of the justified gallery look. I get no lightbox mode, no justified thumbnails etc.
What to do?
Thanks for your help.
Hello Support!
First of all the plugin is amazing! Finally clean and simple to use implementation for Elementor. But my issue is that when I visualize the page from elementor preview looks good, grid pictures… But once I open the page directly all the pictures are squeezed and deformed into squares. I’ve spotted that once I deactivate lazy load option on SiteGround optimization plugin it works fine again.
How can I use the gallery with lazy load anabled?
I would like to stick to this plugin cause I love it, but as a photographer, I have a lot of pictures on my site…
Hope to hear you back guys and we can find some solution.
Thanks again.
With regards, Artur.
Hello from germany,
seems neither the swipebox nor the photoswsipe lightbox script is working with WP 5.6. I get only a black overlay when I use this, in the frontend as well as in the backend. Any idea for a solution? I really love the look and feel of this plugin, but because of the swipebox fail, I cannot save the settings in the admin anymore.
Thank you for your effort so far, really apprecciated!
Just happened today, unable to use wordpress because of this error. Anyone know what to do to fix this?
