This was the second plugin I tried tonight for this purpose. The first plugin “MouseWheel Smooth Scroll” had major problems in Safari (it caused my website to scroll sideways somehow).
This plugin worked nicely in Chrome, and in Safari it has no effect (by design). The problem I found was actually in IE. When scrolling down in IE there was a jagged bouncing type of effect. The animation was definitely malfunctioning. For all I know this has to do with faults in IE… but none the less I couldn’t use this plugin for this reason.
It seems this is a very difficult function to get to work properly across all browsers. I’m quite frustrated.
