I tried various scroll announcements. This one works beautifully. It takes an excerpt of the posts and scrolls them in the sidebar. It has plenty of options as to how many posts, whether you want the full post, excerpt or title. I would recommend this.

This is a good plugin for showing posts in a vertically scrolling area. Not a ton of options, but it probably has the most commonly desired options. Personally, I would like a little more flexibility on the layout, but I tend to have specific needs on a per case basis, so I’m always looking for as much customization as possible.
Kudos to the developer for responding quickly to issues and even taking requests for future updates. That isn’t as typical as many of us would like. So thank you for that.
