I’ve been using this plugin for ages and it never failed.
However, in this new version of WP something went off with the miniature size. The thing is that the preview thumbs are not cut into squares, as they are supposed to be, but show in original proportions, only smaller. I tried to check / uncheck the Preview size box in Settings->Mediafiles, but it doesn’t work. The miniature size is set 150 x 150, but it doesn’t work, the images still look like diminished originals, not as squares.

Any ideas?

Here’s a clue for folks looking into this. It might lead to conflicts with other theme/plugin functions. I realize this plugin is no longer in development so best recommendation is to switch to a different plugin. I like ‘Responsive Lightbox’ as a replacement.

I am trying to apply Lightbox for the defaut image in a post, in place the default link on the image.
I don’t founf wher I can write .. class=”lightbox” for this automatic action ?

If you click on the photo, it seems as if the photo ends up under the sitebar and footer.

Does anyone have a reilable recommended replacement for jQuery Lightbox For Native Galleries that yields similar displayed lightbox? The JetPack does not – gives full screen/dark background which is not acceptable to client and also requires linking to WordPress.com to activate. We are using the jQuery Lightbox For Native Galleries plugin based on original recommendation (and current AgentPress documention!) with StudioPress AgentPress theme.

It’s a shame this is discontinued. Jetpack does not work on a local MAMP install.

I’m working on a site with a 2011 child theme. All wp and plugins are latest version.

What could be the problem and how can I fix this?

Have a look at https://onemanleft.com/games/outwitters/ and click one of the thumbnails in the gallery, in Mobile Safari (iPad, iPhone). It loads the image correctly, but you can see another copy of the image loaded behind the lightbox. If you close the image, the other image is there, using the original, old style of Lightbox. Both images need to be closed before you are returned back to the web page.

I have WPFolio Child Theme which comes with a great thumbnail feature. I also uploaded the jQuery Lightbox For Native Galleries and everything was working fine but for some strange reason my thumbnail gallery on this page has automatically made a second page (go to the bottom where the arrow points), also taking along with it two of the bottom thumbnails.

This does not make sense since there is enough space for all the thumbnails to just be on one page. I’ve tried deleting some of the posts that are attached to the thumbnails but that does not seem to be the issue. Can someone please help me to solve where the problem is? why are my thumbnails being transported into a second page? is this a coding issue? or did i make some kind of coding mistake in one of my posts?

It does not work with wordpress 3.4, things were working fine till i did the latest upgrade to wordpress. There is no question of plugin conflicts because I have not made any changes to a single plugin for quite a while now.
Without a doubt it is an awesome plugin but it needs to get upgraded promptly with every wordpress upgrade. Anyone up for it please ?

I am using the plugin for a non-gallery image. I gave the link a class of “lightbox”. While the lightbbox works perfectly, I noticed that the image caption does not show anymore across the bottom of the image when in the lightbox.

How do I get the image caption to display in the lightbox??

Just wondering if there is a simple way to use this with the native gallery and only display the first image in the gallery, but have all images available in the lightbox.

Is it possible to disable the plug-in on some pages and keep it on others?
The lightbox effect is perfect for some galleries, but I do have one galleries where I want the images to link to another page on click.

Installed as per instructions but no lightbox effects. Deactivated all plug-ins and links to jQuery files on the site and still only get a standard gallery with no lightbox effects.

I use the plugin Gravity Forms, and there seems to be a JavaScript conflict here, because forms with conditional logic doesn’t show with this plugin activated.

I’ve just installed this plugin and it’s the best so far in a long list of gallery solutions i’ve tried…
However when i insert a gallery into a post, the thumbnail images will only display in one column on the left, no matter what column number i choose in the gallery settings. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Seems that the plugin does not work after the major upgrade. Clicking on photo opens up an empty canvas.

I want to show original size of image. I am not getting any idea that how to update code to show image in real size.

Regardless of how many images your gallery contains, this plugin displays “Image 1 of 3” for the first, “Image 2 of 3” for the second, and so on. It arbitrarily bunches images in groups of three, apparently, for no good reason.

Don’t you actually test your software before you release it?

The lightbox is loading the full size image, but I’d love for it to grab the “Large” version (whose size is set in Settings > Media) of the image instead. I have a client who is uploading photos directly off their digital camera, so the images are loading very slowly since they’re 5-6 MB each.
