I was able to get this to work to successfully import a Joomla 2.5 database, but it required that I add code to support Joomla’s newer PHPass-based hashing method. I’ve posted the updated version of this plugin here if anyone else would also find it helpful!

I’ve migrated from old joomla 2.5.28 to WP 4.2.3 and this plugin has saved the bad user experiencie of being required to choose a new password if the user wnat to keep using the site.

The docuemntation is really poor but due the great functionality it provides, I still five stars.

I migrated my users from my old Joomla 2.5.19 -> wordpress + woocommerce and this plugin saved my neck, by enable-ing me to use joomla hashed passwords.

The documentation is not real good, but it does work once you figure out what do to. Using this plugin (along with a couple of other tools), the user migration can be done.
