I am Jota. I am very happy using Jolitoc in my websites. It works flawless in posts when auto insert is ON but then I try to use it manually on some of my pages. When I do it, TOC is not showed.

I am using Oxygenbuilder if it helps. I tried filter priority but it doesn’t work.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Can Joli Table Of Contents be configured to load TOC when the HEADING BLOCKs are set to P or Div (not H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6)
I understand that the HEADING BLOCK ANCHOR may need to be set manually.

I have ticked the correct boxes (i.e. display TOC on posts and pages) when setting up this (very nice) plugin but for some unknown reason I can’t get the TOC to display on this post even though I’ve added the shortcode to the top of the page:

So there are some filters but I’m not sure how to do this so that scripts and styles of the plugin are only loaded in the pages they are used.

I use Joli table of contents on my site and was wondering if there is a way (maybe in Pro?) to customize it to show only the first three or four lines of the TOC (the rest folded) with a “show more” button/icon or toggle. I understand there is a way to automatically fold/collapse longer lists – but then those don’t show any of the headings at all. I’d like three to show with the reader option to open more. I have searched through the settings and can’t figure this out. Thank you

Before i buy the full version i would like to understand if it is possible to configure the floating toc to only appear on mobile devices?

I am using a sidebar widget for the regular desktop users but would not want the floating toc to also appear on the desktop.

So i want the sidebar ToC for desktop and the floating ToC for mobile.

I have added the Joli Table of Contents on a page as a Gutenberg Block. Everything else works, but if I try to hide a second level (H3) heading by clicking the eye, I get this error in front end:

And the table of contents does not show. This happens with PHP8.2 and I would assume with 8.3 (that has more errors with other plugins so cannot use that)

I just tried to switch to v2 again. But i am still facing the issue that the toc will not be insert in the blogpost

Custom styles for specific headings depth

Let’s keep pushing our customization journey by leveraging another built-in capability of Joli Table of Contents.

For each generated heading, Joli Table of Contents automatically “tags” it with a specific depth class. This way, it is easy to target different depth for styling.

The way it works is the following: if the heading is of type H2, it will get the .--jtoc-h2 CSS class. if the heading is of type H3, it will get the .--jtoc-h3 CSS class, and so on until H6 depth.

From there, and because of the way Joli Table of Contents works, we need to create a specific CSS rule to target specific heading depth. We cannot just use the .--jtoc-h2 class by itself or it will give an unwanted result.

Here is the rule that you need to follow: .--jtoc-h2>.wpj-jtoc--item-content a

This rule targets all headings of type H2, and all links contained within .wpj-jtoc--item-content, directly after the .--jtoc-h2 element.

In the following example, we are going to style every heading of type H2, and make the font weight to be bold.

The custom CSS needs to be pasted in the Custom CSS section of the settings.

font-weight: bold;

}

In editing mode it seems to work fine, but during live preview H4 shows as a parent heading of another H4.

Here’s the live preview. 2.1.1 should be 2.2 & 2.1.2 should be 2.3.

Now, this is during the edit. It shows H4 as a separate H4, not as a part of the above H4.

Hello. I am finding your plugin very useful.
However, I am unable to use it due to a conflict with another essential plugin for my website. The plugin is the social sharing button.

I am running a Korean website. The issue is that when sharing a post, the post’s thumbnail does not appear, and the Korean title is not displayed.

After debugging with the developer, We found that when Joli table of contents is activated, if the image root contains Korean, it is converted to a special code(like this %80%ea%b6%a4%eb) and is not recognized.
First of all, I have deactivate Joli table of contents. Is it possible to fix this error?

Hi there just started using this plugin and it looks really good although I was wondering if its possible to have the table of contents automatically collapse and if the user wants to toggle it they can but not have it automatically expand it out straight away

Greetings! I have a straightforward question: Is it possible for this plugin to support AMP in the future? I’ve been using Joli TOC for about a year now, and hands down, it’s the best TOC out there, except for one minor flaw—it’s not compatible with AMP pages.

Although I discovered that Simple TOC is AMP page friendly, I must admit that my preference still lies with Joli.

Offset not working changing from 0 to 150px doesn’t change anything where is the value added so I can debug more?

Having problem the headlines doesnt get any # added to the ID on them. Using oxygen builder any idea? Content is fetched via php the_content so should be working just fine?

I have added your plugin to my site and at the end of each TOC at my posts, I saw a non-existent link/section called “JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER” in the TOC. However; that link/section or heading does not exist in my posts and/or my site.

Yes, I am using a newsletter plugin MailPoet and at the end of each post I have a newsletter subscribe section but it is not called “JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER”. Even if I deactivate this MailPoet newsletter plugin that link at TOC is still shown.

I am using the Oceanwp theme. I don’t know if it is related to theme or something but this is very strange and I don’t know how to get rid of this non-exist link/section from my Joli TOC.

When I install another TOC plugin (easy table of contents) that link “JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER” link does not appear in the TOC however; I wanted to use your plugin because of the amazing customization features of your plugin.
