I have installed this plugin, configured the settings, refreshed the post I wanted to share, viewed page source and the plugin code IS THERE. (Also, I don’t have a caching plugin installed on the site.) When I try to post the post link to Twitter, it doesn’t show anything but the page link. Why isn’t this working? As I mentioned, the metadata is there when I view the page source of the post. This implies I should see the card when I post the link. I need help fixing this, as my client needs this to work.
Can you please help?
Hey! With the recent change to Twitter removing article headlines, we’ve tried to get around that by updating all the cards to have images with text on them. Except every post we’ve used JM to update hasn’t actually worked.
It won’t let me upload any images. But this is the URL for one of the posts: https://filmcolossus.com/black-swan-movie-explained/
We uploaded a version of the main article image that had the words “Black Swan The Definitive Explanation”. But Twitter doesn’t show that version.

Twitter seems very fickle with regards to showing the featured images that our client adds to his WordPress posts.
All images are exactly the same size (800 486 pixels) and all are JPGs. Yet Twitter will show the image for one and not for the other post. There seems to not be any logic in when it does show the image or when it won’t. Frankly we’re at a loss how to go about this and get the image to show up every time.
Do you have any idea what could be the cause of this?
Hope to hear from you soon.
I’m using JM Twitter Cards For some reason I continually get a broken image when our links are posted on Twitter. The Twitter Card Validator tool doesn’t show any errors, but this is happening with all our posts on Twitter.

Checking the meta tags on the page source, I notice there is no twitter:image tag:

Is there a reason why it’s doing this? I’ve checked the settings in our plugin and can’t anything about image except adding a default image. When I do that, the twitter:image tag shows up showing the image file, but the image is still broken when posted on Twitter.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
I am using JM Twitter Cards with my wordpress blog and it works pretty fine.
Still, there is a question regarding my starting page. I mean the homepage of my blog, which shows all articles in an overview.
I checked the source code and saw that there is also an entry for JM Twitter Cards and a link to a standard image (the blue twitter bird). This leads to unintended behavior. For example, when I want to send my blog link to friends or social media – the blue bird appears instead of lets say the title picture of my blog.
here is the current code of my blog homepage:

<!– [(-_-)@ creator: Missing critical option ! @(-_-)] –>
<!– [(-_-)@ site: Missing critical option ! @(-_-)] –>
<meta name=”twitter:title” content=”CrossingBorders schreibt”>

<!–|| /JM Twitter Cards by Julien Maury 11.1.10 ||–>`
I thought of changing the fallback image in the JM Twitter Card preferences but don’t know if its the best solution.
Can someone please help and tell me, how I can change the image that JM Twitter Cards uses for my homepage?
Thank you in advance!
Best,
Matthias
Just a quick question. The description references “posts”, but I use mostly Word Press “pages”.
Will the plug-in work pages as well as posts?
Thank you!

Hello!
I use JM Twitter Cards. But the plugin does not want to show “Summary below large image”. It only shows “summary”.
I can’t see anything wrong with the settings.
The meta tags also look good. See the link below.

set to yes.
When i did a test post I added different text to the first non heading block in gutenberg and i set the excerpt text in the gutenberg side bar.
However the metadata added to the page used the first non-heading block and not the excerpt text.
Not sure if this is a bug or if i did something wrong?

Hello there,
Thanks for having this plugin.. Really helps out. I am however having a bit of trouble getting the image to show up in twitter or even in the validator. It says my card is fine all green, but no image. The page source shows the image is there too. I also have the proper information in the robots.txt file.
I just cannot get that damn image to show up or get a straight answer what the size of the image should be that I use. Even the temp image I have in there now is 148×148 and gets cut off.. Not sure what to do at this point.. Please advise.. thanks
Hello! Thanks for the plugin – I’ve installed the plugin but we realized quickly that the featured image was not great to grab because it’s square. So, I was happy to see the add-on and installed that, but the card still displays the featured image, not the first image in post content. Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks!
Hi,
the OG:image is not showing when a link is shared on twitter.
You can try it with this one as an example:
https://www.guidos-welt.de/braune-suppe/
https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator
The image is available, the CHMOD is correct.
Can you please bring some light into the darkness?
Kind regards axel
I recently installed your plugin on a client website. But we have been noticing some unusual behaviour.
If the client shares the site url (ie. the homepage) the twitter card will show. If the client shares the url of the next page, containing a photo gallery with images that link to other pages, the twitter card will not show.
If he shares one of the pages that the previous page links to it will show the twitter card.
Clearly something on that previous page is conflicting with your plugin. All pages are using the Beaver Builder site builder plugin, so obviously it works fine with that. But this particular page uses the photogallery module of Beaver Builder companion add-on Powerpack. So I assume this is conflicting in some way.
How can we check this? Do you have any suggestion how to fix this or work around it?
If you need the url to take a look that is of course possible, just let me know how to supply it (I assume pasting it here would probably not be smart).
Hope to hear from you soon.
JM Twitter, Yoast, Publicize (jetpack)..Can someone help me to get the relationship between these plugins correct please.Images are disappearing from my twitter timeline and i think ? it might be a conflict between the above plugins. So how am i supposed to do this correctly. I have Yoast for my SEO, but it also has options for social media. JM Twitter is of course social media cards/images and Publicize(jetpack) sends my blog posts to social media, but it now also has Twitter card functionality. Something so simple as setting a decent twitter card for my blog posts has me confused as to what i should be doing now. Twitter doesnt use og tags ? Or does it. I think yoast is putting in og tags…jm is using twitter tags and ive no idea any longer what publicize is doing with the cards. Please help me…thanks. An example twitter feed is twitter.com/hlsbulletin..all those missing images. Every tweet had an image when i made the posts. Thanks

Hi,
I liked your plugin. It was straightforward to install. I installed the first image one too since that’s what I needed.
On desktop, when I looked at my tweet, it showed up with the image and summary, but on mobile when I look at the same tweet (in my twitter mobile app), it doesn’t show a preview! Most people look at tweets on the phone, so not sure what’s going on.
Please advise.

Hi there! I just downloaded this fabulous plugin and set everything up as noted. When I am inside the editor of my post and click on the “open modal”, the preview shows the large image below text as expected.
However, when I try to share to Twitter, the image is smaller and on the left (like a thumbnail). I have tried everything I can think of. Any help you can offer would be very much appreciated.
Note: It does say that this plugin hasn’t been tested on my theme. I’m still hopeful. ??
Thank you!
Hello!
I have been using this plugin for ages and usually when I manually post links it posts the Featured Image, but lately it has been posting the site logo (seen at the top of the site) instead.
I see that there was a github link that forced image refreshes, but I’m not entirely sure how I install it.
Thanks!
