What the plugin provides is not very complicated. It adds fields to menu items, where you can simply copy-paste your code. But before that, you need to know what you’re doing in terms of working with Javascript/jQuery. So, before you use the plugin, make sure you know how to set up such a Javascript event. Otherwise, you won’t know what to do with this tool.

You have to learn how to use it. But it works.

It only works if you have checked the check that it is “Primary Navigation”. If your web has multiple menus it does not work in others menus.

Menus do not appear within the jin menu settings.

Works 100%!
I can see why people get confused with your plugin. It seems some java knowledge is needed.
This plugin works. All the people rating it 1 Star saying it doesn’t work should seek some support for how to implement it properly like I had to.
I have a one page site and wanted wordpress to have click to call in the navigation menu, that was the easy part. The next was not so easy. Tracking the clicks from the navigation menu calls back to my analytics dashboard..
This plugin allows you to add event tracking back to google analytics for your wordpress site for clicks within your navigation menu.
For all those who want to add click to call event tracking for google analytics in wordpress navigation menu, this is the code added to Jin Menus No Conflict Mode box.
—
ga(‘send’, ‘event’, ‘call’, ‘click’,’phone call’);
window.open(“tel:0474 123 123”);
—
Just swap out the phone number for your own and obviously you have to have your event tracking set up with the correct fields in analytics and your analytics code on your site.
By the way, Rohit the developer of this plugin was super helpful and helped me with his plugin a lot. If you can’t get it working, before you give it 1 Star ask Rohit to help and he will.
5 Stars!
Thanks again Rohit!

This plugin works fine and dandy on the latest version of WordPress! I followed the instructions and turned on the No Conflict Mode and it worked just fine. Please realize that you set up your menu item first as a custom link as you would always do, then you go to Jin Menus (Appearance>Jin Menus), select the menu to edit and it will return custom link items in that menu. Not nice to give a plugin bad reviews when you are maybe not following instructions, peeps.

doesn’t work at all, nothing happens after I install the plugin.
It might be a conflict with the theme.

I got it to be able to use the OnClick event. Shows the entry field in the admin for the menu link, but does not add the event to the actual link. Tried clearing the cache, and still nothing. Maybe it just doesn’t support 3.8.1?

I tried to code you put in article “Javascript in WordPress Menus URL” but it did not work for me but this plugin did. I used it to make a pop-up window link from the wordpress menu. Thanks!
