In the last year this plugin has gone from being pretty good with the occasional hiccup to absolutely diabolical.
Support is non-existent, with no reply to numerous reports of problem.
– coupons are broken, and don’t handle % discounts correctly when VAT is into account. Detailed report provided but no response. So can’t use coupons internationally.
– orders often don’t include VAT when the order is outside of the UK, despite the rules being set up right (and having worked fine for years). For example, just received an order from a customer in Holland: no VAT added for absolutely no reason. It worked before.
– more subtle errors, not show stoppers, dutifully reported but ignored.
– WorldPay support no longer works for their current offering (installation key based, no longer API key)
I highly recommend you steer well clear of this plugin and chose something else. I’m going to migrate to another eCommerce offering now as it’s beyond a joke.

I’ve had an issue with a corrupted file preventing updating which the support team have fixed promptly. They’ve also helped me update for the plugin to work with a custom theme.
Otherwise have found jigoshop great to use for my small business! Would highly recommend giving it a go!

Jigoshop seriously frustrates me. I’ve used it for years, particularly after WooCommerce hired away their developers in 2011 and forked the Jigoshop code (not cool WooCommerce).
However, Jigoshop is not a stable platform. Everything will be fine and then a new update to the plugin comes out and the cart breaks. I’ve had this happen 4 times in the last 7 years. Four times may not sound like a lot but when you have to spend countless hours each time fixing and reconfiguring it becomes very frustrating.
This last major update to Jigoshop 2.0 took my cart down for the 5th and last time. I’ve since made the move to WooCommerce. Ethically I stood with Jigoshop, but I’m hoping with WooCommerce now being a part of the WordPress family that I’ll have a stable ecommerce environment.
Fingers crossed!

Well, A lot of the great features I like about the old Jigoshop were taken out. Example of this was the check box to allow the client to indicate that the billing and shipping are the same. This feature was very convenient. Another problem is the register check box which if checked still does not pop up other boxes to allow the client to create their own account on our site. Tracking orders was also taken out. Sadly this version feels like a strip down version of the old one with some improvements to the look which aren’t that great to began with. I’m seriously already thinking of moving to woocommerce plugin which offers a lot more features.

Well done Jigoshop!
WooCommerce to Jigoshop migration was a bit problematic in my case, but the excellent support team led by Martin has helped me to resolve all of my problems.
The cost of migration from Woo to Jigoshop eCommerce was in a region of what I would have paid for the extensions this year at Woo so it worked out well.

Our site worked great and business was good. And then the new “required” release came out. No backwards compatibility and poor documentation, and our store was completely broken. We had a lot of code using the API, and none of it worked any longer. The website was nearly useless – searches for commands would bring up the old, invalid commands more often than not, so the online help was inaccurate.
Much much months later and we’re still trying to restore functionality.
I sincerely wish I’d never heard of Jigoshop. At least with another ecommerce solution an upgrade wouldn’t have broken *everything*.

I use a lot of plugins and have dealt with support from a bunch. These guys are as good as it gets. Timely, polite and ultra professional.

My very customized website has been on Jigoshop for 5 years now. After 3 years my local developer left, and ever since all my problems and developments have been very quickly attended to, or responded to, by Marcin and the Jigoshop team.

Had a few issues with a website and the new plugin. Each time I needed to contact support regarding the issues I had responses within minutes!
I feel the support I received went above and beyond as a few of my queries were not exactly related to the plugin itself.
Great support network, great plugin.
Thank you.

I’ve been using Jigoshop for years. Getting used to v2 is a little hurdle.
I used it on the Atahualpa theme for all the early years, but JS wouldn’t play nice with that theme. The site was overdue for a more responsive theme anyhow. It is used with the Premium Shipping extension, that’s been working fine as the item based shipping the only option. The payment method used has always been PayPal, which works fine. We just need to work through notification emails on v2 to they don’t look screwy. The Generate Emails button is gone so as far as I can figure I need to rework the individual templates.
All in all Jigoshop is a great ecommerce choice for the WordPress platform.
I’ve had major issues with the Table Rate Shipping plugin on one site over the past month. It appears it may be fixed now. Still believing in JS, but a month of shipping issues kinda sucked…

Our site developed an issue where it was preventing payment processing at checkout, specifically:
Notice: Undefined index: different_shipping_address in /usr/www/users/zgtucker/store/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop-ecommerce/src/Jigoshop/Service/CartService.php on line 190
After contacting support, they were able to figure out the issue and fix the problem. Very much appreciated!

In eCommerce business I was looking for a product which would be fit with my needs:
fast, simple in use, good looking and Jigoshop eCommerce was exactly what I was looking for.
Developers did a great job and hopefully they will continue in that way in future.

I’ve tried to use this plugin on my site for a couple years now, and with a couple different themes as well. I’ve even contacted support trying to find what was wrong, because the product page is broken. Depending on the theme, it will either show full rows, or a single long column. No matter what theme is used, it insists on displaying ALL my site’s pages and even a couple sections I don’t normally display such as categories and archives below my content. Because of this, I can’t rate this plugin very high and I am looking for a suitable replacement.

I am only giving 2 stars because I feel like the new Jigoshop version is not ready for customers. I have migrated my site over to the new Jigoshop and have had quite a few issues, which I’m trying to work with support on fixing….but it’s been 3 months since I’ve migrated my site and I still have issues that are not resolved. I hope in the future months, developers work on the issues with this plugin and make it better than what it is now.

Hi,
Because I’ve used the old Jigoshop for a while I have installed the new version last week. Must say the dashboard looks very nice. It’s quite clear how everything works. About the frontend, unfortunately I was not able to find a custom theme for Jigoshop 2 on their own website (I have only found themes with notification: Jigoshop 2.x Compatible: No). I stopped using old Jigoshop because of another very very popular and better documented e-commerce plugin with the same look and feel. IMO Jigoshop 2 is a nice e-commerce plugin but released way too late, because the last couple of years that other plugin became the absolute number one.

I was very nervous about migrating over to the new JigoShop eCommerce 2.0, because I didn’t know what type of issues I might face afterwards with our website. The migration was definitely not as bad as I thought it would be, but there were some things that needed to be fixed, and I did not know how to fix them. I contacted Jigoshop support, and I was so incredibly relieved to discover that Marcin was there to help! He has been fixing every issue that I find with our website and the new JigoShop eCommerce plugin. I can’t thank him enough for all his time – he is absolutely wonderful to work with! The new Jigsohop eCommerce is faster and looks amazing! I’m so glad we stuck with Jigoshop and held on during the migration. It’s worth it. I have been using Jigoshop for years, and they just get better and better. : )
Thank you so much for everything!
