Great idea to break out JetPack Markdown but changes to the landscape of the WordPress editor means this plugin should get regular updates to be its best.

In the end, we ended up using the old version of WP Markdown as it worked better for an independent site.

So far so *very* good.

Really like the simplicity and the by-passing of the need to install the full JetPack. (JetPack is great by the way, just not needed in entirety for every site).

Have only used simple Markdown but everything is working exactly as expected.
