Hi, I would like to show in a counter the number of years of the institution I am building a web page for. How can I do that? Do I have to use java script combined with the code? Can you show me an example of how to implement it?
Hi, I place
[jellyfish_counter digits=12 start= 6845326542 end=’999999999999′ format=’000000000000′ flat=true interval=1 tick_multiplier=26 timestamp=’2021-11-18 16:00:00′ id=’test0′ digit_padding=2 alignment=left digit_height=22 digit_width=17]
And Ok, counter stars about 6845326542 (1000 or 10000 plus or less).
But if I place tick_multiplier=26 it starts on 177……… (where “.” is a number), for example 177978522878.
What I’m doing wrong? Thanks !

Hi,
I’ve been looking for a count up counter that will display the total amount of money spent in the space of a year. The Jellyfish counter comes close, as it’s the only counter I’ve come across that has the continuous counter feature. The problem is it’s pretty hard to work out how fast the counter should go to reach the total amount by December 31st.
Just some feedback really, that a feature I would find extremely useful on this project is that you can define a date range in which you want the counter to read it’s end number by. So let’s say I want the counter to reach $40,000,000 in a year, I could just set it to get to that number on December 31st. I don’t know if there is much call for this feature outside of what I want to use it for but just thought I’d mention it ??
Hello – I am trying to place the counter widget in the footer of my site and whenever I save it, the Start and End Values reset to either 0 or 100. Any guidance on this? I’m trying to do a continuous counter, but have tried it as both continuous and non. I have updated the number of digits to 6 (my end value is 450,000) and tried a few different starting values (0, 300,000, 350,000) and none of them seem to stay. I have also adjusted the counter speed from 5 to 20 to 50 and that seems to make no difference either.
Thanks for your help!
Hi,
I use the Jellyfish counter widget on my website with this configuration :
Wordpress : 5.3.2
Theme : Avada
It is on a Layer Slider WP. It’s works but sometines it doesn’t appears !
Any idea of what is the problem ?
I’m considering using this counter, but before I spend time with it, I wanted to check to see if it has the capacity to adjust speed (both as slow and as fast) similar to the counters found in this page: https://thevegancalculator.com/animal-slaughter/
Thanks,
Paris
Thanks so much for this rare gem of a plugin.
Is there a recommended way to hide the placeholder zeros that appear before the number? Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks
I’m not sure what you are talking about in the instruction regarding a ‘string’ – I’m trying to get comma’s in between my thousands & hundreds: 188,044
This is my shortcode so far
[jellyfish_counter end=188044 digit_style=”font-family:’Montserrat’, Arial; font-size: 2em; background: transparent; color: #3d7ec1;” flat=true speed=100]
Can you provide me with the bit for the comma’s? AND… can it go any faster at all?
Thanks!

This shortcode not working for me, I only see first
element in source code, let me know if I’m using correct shortcode.

Hi there
What a fantastic, simple plugin.
I have modified the background color and font color of the counter. I now have black numbers on a yellow background, exactly as I need. However, I’d like to have a different background for the tenths digit.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.

We have a manual counter in the top right of the website. Whenever it needs updating the client emails me and I login and change the fixed value on the widget. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the value to be changed through the wordpress app easily so the client can do it herself. Please bear in mind she’s not particularly technical.
Hello,
very nice work you have done with this plugin. Impressive!!
Can you please (or if anyone else knows) if this can be done:
I want to count down the percentage between 2 dates.
For example:
start date: 2016-08-16
end date: 2017-02-28
today: 2016-09-16
the counter should show how many procent there is still till the end date.
Start date: 100%
End Date: 0%
Thank you, Davor

Hello,
How can I remove 0 values, while they are not needed?
For example:
If I have value at this moment 0095435, when the maximu, value is 9999999,
I want to display 95435, without empty first values.
I have the following shortcode and tried every other possible combination and tricks that I could think of but no luck.
[jellyfish_counter timestamp=”2016-01-01 00:00:00″ start=1000000 interval=2.5 digits=8]
Tried every suggestion in the support forums but no luck there too.
Hi,
Thanks for developing this counter, it’s really useful.
One thing that I’m having trouble with: when I add the tick_multiplier parameter it appears to break the counter e.g. if I use tick_multiplier=41 with a counter from 990000 to 100000 it shows a static 100000.
Would appreciate your advice.
Hi,
https://www.estr.com homepage had some jellyfish counters below images on the right side. It was working fine before and we had to move our site to a new server with the latest WordPress. Then it shows nothing now. Plugin is active and there is no text displayed on the site.
Any suggestion?
Thanks for your help!

I’m working with some people who are not very technically inclined, and as such we don’t want to give them access to the backend for fear they might mess something up. However, basically we want to use the counter so they can go in and add a number to it (i.e., we sold 4 tickets that day) and it will add to the total for them to see. Is there a way to let them do this without accessing the backend?
Hi,
I am enjoying the plugin, but I can’t quite seem how to “set counter type to static” as the documentation indicates. I may be taking this too literally, but I have been looking for an attribute with the shortcode called “counter” or “type” or “counter_type” or some attribute to pass as “static” parameter to.
It’s plain as day how to do this using the widget, but I have scoured the documentation and forum and haven’t found an explicit parameter for enabling “static” via the shortcode.
After a lot of playing around, I think I was able to make it work by setting the start and end attributes to the same number, but that felt a little like a hack given the explicit field in the widget.
If there is specific (and intended) way to set static via the shortcode, can someone post it here via reply?
Thanks in advance.
Morgan
Hi there,
I am highly interested in your continuous counter, but I cannot manage to make it work.
I am trying the following test:
[jellyfish_counter digits=15 start=0 end=10000000000 interval=1 tick_multiplier=3 timestamp="2016-01-30 19:33:00" id="test0"]
---
[jellyfish_counter digits=15 start=1000 end=10000000000 interval=1 tick_multiplier=3 timestamp="2016-01-30 19:33:00" id="test1"]
---
[jellyfish_counter digits=15 start=1000000 end=10000000000 interval=1 tick_multiplier=3 timestamp="2016-01-30 19:33:00" id="test2"]
---
[jellyfish_counter digits=15 start=1000000000 end=10000000000 interval=1 tick_multiplier=3 timestamp="2016-01-30 19:33:00" id="test3"]
The generated counters are the following:
00000007500
00000010500
00003007500
03000007500
Where does this pre pending 3 come from?
I would expect all the counters to have the same count plus the start count, isn’t it?
It looks like the start is multiplied by the tick multiplier
Hi Love the plugin.
But it has broken when I updated our network to WP 4.4. Anyone else having the same problem?
You can see it on our website at the top, only the shortcode shows now.

Thank You!!!
