is this plugin still maintained? the official plugin website has been offline for me for weeks now (jch-optimize.com).

Hi there, I am very puzzled about the usage of jch-optimize.. I enable combine files, but when I check my site, the combine files will only happen when URL has parameters.

E.g.
https://homy.sg — files will not combine
https://homy.sg?abc=1 — files will combine

This has happen for many of my URLs. Can I know where went wrong or is there any setting that I set it wrongly?

Can you add a filter for your HTTP2 Preload Headers ? Specifically at your Optimize.php file, at function sendHeaders() there is a $preloads variable which contains all headers that your code sends back to the browser. We need a way to update those URLs to match the custom url changes.

I love your plugin. It’s really great what you did and how fast it works.

Only one small request to be compatible with Hide My WP Ghost who changes the paths in content before saving it in the cache file.

A hook would fix this if you add in file:
wp-content/plugins/jch-optimize/src/Cache.php:367

before the line:
$file_contents = base64_encode(serialize($content));

the hook:
$content = apply_filters('jch-save-content', $content);

Will look like:

$wp_filesystem = self::getWpFileSystem();
$content = apply_filters('jch-save-content', $content);
$file_contents  = base64_encode(serialize($content));
$file          = self::_getFileName($id, $page_cache);

You can do the same with the PRO plugin too.

After installing the JCH optimize plugin and using the premium setting on the combined CSS and JS files an erratic bug has appeared. Sometimes when a user loads the page the stylesheet will not load properly and the page will only be blue text aligned on the left side without any CSS.

The site is hosted on WP Engine which uses it’s own caching that cannot be disabled, so I’m concerned this plugin may not be able to function when hosted on WP Engine.

I’ve cleared both the cache on JCH Optimize as well as the WP engine cache and that gets rid of the bug, but only for a few days. It eventually works its way back and becomes prevalent.

Has anyone dealt with this issue or something similar? Thanks in advance!

Hi! When selecting the optimum option on the panel, it ends up disabling the Yith Easy Login and register popup plugin, which is used for the buyer to register or login before checkout. How could I exclude this from optimization?

My Gtmetrix score is great but the post widget from Elementor Pro adds space below the images and looks terrible. If I deactivate this plugin, then it works fine. Has anyone had this issue?

For users on slow connections, external scripts dynamically injected via document.write() can delay page load by tens of seconds.

For mine it said it was on line 123.

I just installed the plug-in today and it definitely increased the speed of my site. Unfortunately, it’s also causing icons that were used in the site not to show-up. Can someone advise how to fix this?

Small improvements would seem nice to me, especially in the URLS exclusion windows.
1-URLS must be whole or relative URLS are possible?
2-could we have larger windows, drop-down lists, in order to be able to view them in full?

But when I loggin as admin and check the home page, it looks like this:

If I logout then home page displays fine.

If I disable page cache then home page displays correctly logged in or out.

Why? And ho to fix this?

Hi, heads up… the plugin causes a ‘cannot decode raw data’ bug for the Safari browser (fine on others), and had to remove plugin from site.

It always stays the same mistake.

I love JCH Optimize. I’ve used it for years. The only conflict it seems to have with my site is that once the cache is filled or sits long enough, rather than the video itself, it somehow sets my site to display the poster, which is called like so:

Once I clean the cache, the video works as expected again.

I’m happy to provide any additional details that might help. I just don’t quite understand the issue well enough to even know what I should provide. All I know is that every now and then the video stops working and my site shows the poster instead. I clean the cache and everything works as expected again.

I receive an (A 93%) in GTMetrix, but the site is actually a little slower while physically viewing it.

Hi i put Optimize CSS Delivery on but is not fix the problem i find in gtmetrix.

The following external CSS files were included after an external JavaScript file in https://kratisionline.gr/. To ensure CSS files are downloaded in parallel, always include external CSS before external JavaScript.

Any idea why Im receiving the following Fatal Error when trying to activate the plugin?

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Warning: include_once(/html/wp-content/plugins/jch-optimize/jchplugininstaller.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /html/wp-content/plugins/jch-optimize/jch-optimize.php on line 51

I installed the plugin directly from the wordpress plugin page as well as downloading it directly from JCH and both give the same error.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

The main JCH site is down, checking in MX toolbox shows the domain is not registered/pointing anywhere.

Using JC Optimize and Yoast has a bug where users are no longer able to delete items (by hitting the X) or update quantities from my Cart unless the cart page is manually reloaded. Selecting Update Cart does nothing.

If you have JC optimize enabled and disable Yoast, the cart works as expected. This isn’t favourable for me.

Steps to repro:
– Have Yoast and JC Optimize enabled.
– Add an item to the cart.
– Go to the cart and delete that item.

Expected results:
– The item deletes and Cart refreshes.

Actual results:

The item still appears in the Cart
– The item does technically delete/update if you refresh the cart, but it doesn’t refresh on it’s own, which is the default behaviour when deleting from Cart.
Errors in the Console only show when Yoast plugin is enabled:
“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500”

Tested with:

Yoast 7.7.3
WC 3.4.3
JC Optimize 2.2

Workaround:

1. If you disable JC Optimize and enable Yoast the cart works as expected.
2. Disable Yoast and enable JC Optimize.

I have contacted Yoast and have them investigate. They have indicated that it’s a JC Optimize bug.

I am trying to uninstall the plugin but it says deletion failed.

This is the only plugin that I have seen that triggers a dialog box when I click delete. Is this normal? How do I delete this plugin once and for all?
