Yes, I’m now a contributing author to this plugin, but the following are my thoughts before I started contributing.
This plugin solves my biggest annoyance with YouTube Live / Google+ Hangouts on Air events! I had long wanted to switch you Google’s live-streaming platform, but I hated the idea of manually updating the embed code with each new event. Then I found this plugin and loved it!
But I also saw that the plugin could be more. That’s when I contacted the author and he made me a contributor. I’m happy to have brought features like active > pending priority, proper event sorting, and now support for multiple channels.
Why am I rating my “own” plugin only four stars? Because I think the thing that would make this plugin even better would be live-refreshing between events. Yes, that’s coming and I’ll probably be the one to implement it, but I’m honest enough to dock a star for its present lack.
(This is about what I would have said even if I wasn’t a contributor.)

I’m trying to make a page to live stream a wedding that is happening today, and rather than keep placing the embed code for the specific hangout into the page, this plugin solves that problem by grabbing the most recent live stream from my channel.
