When viewing posts through the app, is it possible to cache them to be viewable when off line? My site is devoted to outdoor information, in the deep wilderness one often doesn’t have network but people know to cache info. By caching a post in the app it could be accessible offline.

Curious if there is interest in this, as this creates a huge advantage of an app over a website.

We successfully used PWA on our site up until a couple of months ago when the option to download the app just didn’t appear on mobile. I’ve went through the PWA settings numerous times but don’t see anything wrong at all. Need urgent help.

The debug links all seem to work except the offline page gives a “We were unable to load the page you requested.”

Please help. If you need more information please let me know what you require.

The prompt to add it to the homescreen is not being displayed on mobile devices, all is setup as far as I can see correctly

I have installed th eplugin and set an icon (png with white background), when adding to the home screen (no prompt showing) I see a png with transparet background.

Am I missing something?

Hey i’ve been trying to find the manifest.json but it seems it gets generated on the fly. is there a way to hook into it?
I’m trying to update with protocol_handlers for communication between the PWA and a tap to pay plugin i put together.

I successfully got the payment app for tap to pay that supports deeplinking, but the callback url i’m trying to get to trigger the PWA instead of a standard web browser to keep a consistent logged in session.

The banner to add to the home screen is not displayed on LG phones. I also can’t change the background color of the banner. But this is the best banner I know to convert a website into a PWA.

I have just tested your extension after having entered all the images in all formats for Apple (and there are many ??), and according to my tests on iPad and iPhone, everything is going well, however for Android and the Chrome browser, I have a generic icon (app.icns) instead of those specified in my settings, is this normal?

Hello Marcin, I have activated and set the PWA plugin. Unfortunately, I missed a good caching function. The loading times are rather slow and when I switch on flight mode on the iPhone, I get the message that no internet connection is available. However, I don’t get any entries from the cache. Perhaps I have done something wrong and not activated the cache?

I have now deactivated and deleted the PWA plugin, but the PWA is still active. Why are the service handler and the manifest not deleted during uninstallation? Where can I delete them manually?

I have set PWA to show the button in my footer, and tried almost every settting (including “don’t load CSS”). Instead of a button I get in the body section (using newest Firefox 122.0 in Win10):

The accompanying manifest metadata is being found in head section, which (at first glance) seems to be good.

Same result (button not showing) on an Android-Go series phone, using newest Firefox.

Why “display:none”? Why in body section? Any Ideas?
