Good day,
I see from Extra Security link, we should to
Script Setup
1. Upload checkIP.php and customMessage.php to WordPress installation directory.
2. Download wp-config.php via FTP from same directory(where WordPress is installed). You just have to add this line in wp-config.php on the top of everything after <?php
include “checkIP.php”;
NOTE: Make sure you make a backup of wp-config.php before editing.
but I don’t know from where I can find these files to make uplode.

For some weeks, whenever I have tried to give a comment for an IP address, when I clock on ‘Submit’ I get the message:
“Oh snap!Error Connecting Server.”
I have recently rebuilt my PC and now I am using a different browser, different operating system and no browser plugins yet, so I do not think it is my PC at fault.

ERROR 504 – GATEWAY TIMEOUT
Why am I seeing this page?
The server that your request has reached is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request made by your client.
Web Browser => Web Front-End => Web Back-End
This server (Web Front-End) received an invalid response from an upstream (Web Back-End) server it accessed to fulfil the request.
In most cases this will not mean that the upstream server is down, but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data.
This problem is most commonly caused when there is a problem with IP communications between the Web Front and Back-Ends. Before you attempt to resolve this problem you should clear your browser cache completely.
Our support staff will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue. Please contact our Live Support or reply to any Tickets you may have received from our technicians for further assistance.

]]>Hi!
I just want to know what happens when a IP address is blocked? What does the person with the IP address will see if going on the said website? Is it loading indefinitely with a fail to connection message?
Is it only for login attempt, or it really is impossible for this IP to even see your website and access it, without having to connect or else?
Thank you so much ??
]]>When viewing the comments, either the Bin or Pending, clicking on “Blacklist IP” makes “IP: Neutral” change to gives “IP: Error! Try Again.”
It has been doing this for about a week, maybe two.

]]>Not all failed logins are being recorded by IP Blacklist. This is a member’s website, so I can’t give you a link. A couple of members have complained that the site ‘won’t let them in’ (most probably finger trouble) but their failed login attempts aren’t being recorded by the plugin. I can see their failures on the Simple Login Log.
Does adding an IP address to the whitelist prevent the recording of a failed login?

]]>Hi ??
I was looking for a sales/contact info/form on your website https://www.ip-finder.me but could not find any.
I had some questions about your server version which looks interesting. but it kinda worries me that it seems to be no way of contacting you on your website (and getting premium support when needed??), so i dunno.
Maybe you should consider of adding a sales contact form or something so everyone that is potentially interested in your product could get in touch with you?
Anyways, questions:
1.) if you run the server version, the IP-lists is loaded into that DB instead of the actual WP website’s right? Or are they still saved in the local DB of each website?
2.) is there a special plugin for running the server version?
3.) Does this support WordPress Multisite?
I took special interest in the server version, because i don’t like the fact that the WP site/s becomes bloated with thousands of IP addresses and by that taxes the server with loads of traffic between the DB and the site etc. Imagine that would be much more efficient and less taxing by having all the IPs etc in a separate DB etc.
Thanks and I look forward to your response..
Cheers!
]]>Hello.
I’ve installed the IP Blacklist plugin. At the first beginning, the plugin was accessed from the IP Blacklist item at the admin menu. But somehow the item has disappeared, and even uninstall and reinstall could not be able to rebuild it: still missing.
Does anyone have the same situation, or any idea to solve it ?
Thanks a lot,
Marcos Nunes
Dear Sirs, in one of my websites I deleted all blacklisted IPs and I imported it again from a .CVS file.
The number of ID should be 332 but it appears something around the double.
Its look like, when I deleted the IPs blacklisted, the DB kept the position/ID. So when I imported the IPs from the .cvs file, the system add up to the previous amount. That suppose to be empty.
Is there any way to fix it, to have the correct ID number of blacklisted IP?
Adeel,
I really like your “Add current IP to whitelist” feature — it’s a great reminder to me. I am using it successfully on 2 WPMU networks with no problems (I’m the SuperAdmin).
A suggestion for you. . . can I hide this warning for user roles lower than Admin? For the typical blogger, or a client who just wants to modify something on their site, this message is perceived either as scary or is not understood. I get a lot of questions about this. Since most of these clients are not on a static IP, I don’t think it makes sense to add their (current) IP address; therefore the warning is not needed.
Or am I missing something here?? I’m willing to be educated if you feel that dynamic IPs should be whilelisted.
Thanks! Great plugin!
Larry
All my failed login attempts look the same same except for password they look like this
log => test
pwd => student
wp-submit => Log In
testcookie => 1
Why is this?
]]>I am receiving this error when logging in:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_User could not be converted to string in /directory…/plugin/ip-blacklist-cloud/ip_blacklist_cloud.php on line 2107
then for number of minutes when I tried to login again, it works fine
It seems that the plugin has some login issue with WP_User login process and the plugin is intervening with that process

]]>The plugin is stopping the dashboard from working.
WordPress 4.5.3
IP Blacklist Cloud Version 4.01
I had to go in via FTP and remove the folder /wp-content/plugins/ip-blacklist-cloud to get back in.
On re-activating the plugin, the dashboard just gives a blank screen. Remove the folder again and the dashboard works again. I have removed all other plugins and proved to myself it is this one causing the problem on its own. I have replaced and reactivated all other plugins and finally reactivating this one reproduces the problem.
The blog part of the web site still functions, but as soon as I log in as a user or an administrator I am just presented with a blank screen. While in that state, if I remove the ip-blacklist-cloud directory and then refresh the blank screen, the dashboard is displayed.
]]>Hi there,
My own I.P. has been blacklisted against my site. I tried to log in to my WordPress site with my saved password which didn’t work. I then tried a different password and was blacklisted. I have just managed to get my hosting provider to enable me to log back in to my site through WordPress. All my plugins on my dashboard have been de-activated, and I can’t click on anything without getting the error message : “Your I.P. has been blacklisted.” I was hoping clearing my cache would clear the blacklist but i can’t even get to clear my cache without getting this error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, is it likely that my site was hacked if all my plugins have been deactivated?
Thanks in advance,
Sandra
Are we able to whitelist CIDR addresses? I ask because I want to make sure that my CDN provider (MaxCDN) is completely whitelisted. Please let me know.

]]>A suggestion for a small benefit:
On the whitelist page admin.php?page=wp-IPBLC-whitelist check if the user’s current IP address is already on the whitelist and, if it is not, display a button saying “Add current IP to whitelist” which does just that.

I’ll talk to server guys once again.
Just installed this plugin and activated it. The first thing I see is an alert in the dashboard telling me IP Blacklist has some errors… and the errors are in tables that the IP Blacklist plugin itself has created. See log below.
Not very reassuring… I have since done the first APPLY FIX to fix the plugin’s own tables but I am very very leery of having the plugin touch any of my blog’s main tables (the bottom two APPLY FIX buttons).
However… the plugin DOES seem to work and it’s picking up and blocking malware login attempts that Sucuri is detecting. So I’m mostly happy.
