I’m also using an unfamiliar wordpress theme, but the plugin looks fine on my pc, but when I look at it on my phone the countdown numbers are not correct and missing parts or blocked.

Any suggestions ?

I noticed these warning+error in the browser console of one of my client’s sites. It’s running on PHP 8.0. I haven’t had time to do a conflict check with other plugins, but my guess is that this is directly related to this plugin.

Hi, our debug.log was clogged with incorrect sql syntax error messages – coming from your function icp_session_cleanup() in \intelly-countdown\includes\classes\session\session.php. For some reason we had some sessions in db with a single quote character in their name (‘), so when you implode that using single quotes as separator (line 144) unescaped it raises error. I fixed this by changing in lines 137-138 to

$expired_sessions[]=str_replace( "'", "''", $expiration->option_name );
$expired_sessions[]=str_replace( "'", "''", "_wp_session_$session_id" );

for example.
We had some 53k old sessions for some reason, and it was reporting whole string with that in debug log, which took 5mb per error (every hour). So our log would increase 100mb daily.

Daily Countdown
This can be used as a shipping timer. If a customer orders before the timer runs out, the product will be shipped today.
Choose this countdown by selecting Daily Reset Timer in the Type dropdown box.
You can configure the daily countdown timer to reset at a particular time every day. As an option, you can select days of the week on which the timer will not reset. For example, if you exclude Saturday and Sunday, then over the weekend the timer will countdown to Monday’s reset time.

Redirect Expiration Days
This field is optional. It only works in concert with the Redirect URL field. Leave the expiration field empty to keep the redirect URL in effect permanently.
The day count begins when the timer expires. The redirect will remain in effect until the specified number of days has elapsed.

Timer Restart Without a Page Refresh
When you click on the Immediate restart checkbox, the timer will restart as soon as it reaches zero.

Username Detection
When you select this detection method, the timer tracking is based on the logged-in username. If the user is not logged-in to the site, then the cookie detection method will be used.`

My problem is that the timer does not show on a page I created earlier. I tried to insert it different ways (text block, shortcode, code block). None of them worked. Interestingly, when I created a new page, and inserted the shortcode, it showed, but now on an existing page. Please, help me.

Ive been running some speed tests recently and have spoken to a site engineer who took a look and identified that the cookies are causing my caching plugin to not work as its loading the script on every page. They said evergreen countdown timer plugin often causes this. Is there a way to make sure it only loads on pages I use the countdowns on? thanks

Hi, I have evergreen countdowns set up which used to work perfectly. Now they countdown but they don’t redirect. They just stay at zero – see example. Not sure why or how to resolve!

We started setting up a page using your plugin. The idea is great and we’re really hoping to use this, but we are experiencing some issues.

The first time I view the page (https://ludens-coaching.be/e-book-tips-bedankt/), I see the timer and all goes as planned. The countdown happens and afterwards a redirect occurs as planned. However, after some time (about 30 min), I went back to the page and would expect an automatic redirect. This does not happen. Instead, I see the page without the timer and no redirect (screenshot: https://prnt.sc/10cb758).

I have tried tracking via both cookie and IP address. Current setting is via IP address.

Could you be so kind to provide us with a reply on how to resolve this?

I am trying to create a custom page template that is going to show content only when the countdown expires. I tried to put the shortcode on a conditional (do_shortcode[”]) but since it only verifies if the shortcode exists is always true even if the countdown expired. I was hoping to do something like this:
if (countdown still running){show countdown}else{show custom code}

Is there a way I can achieve this?

i have two countdown, and the countdown still at 00:00:00 after the 24h expiration, i would countdown restart at 24:00:00 (24h) when it expire.

My settings:

Type: date
Evergreen: Yes
Expire countdown: 1 day, 0 hours/min/sec.
Redirect URL: none
Automatic resetting day: 1

With theses settings, 24h after the first visit, the countdown still at 00:00:00 and does not restart at 24:00:00. How can i modify this ?

I have added redirection url in countdown item and after the timer has finished it is going to redirection url (at homepage ) but it is continuously refreshing/redirecting the homepage. It is not stopping after redirect ti the homepage.

I can’t update my timer because of an error= “Cannot read property ‘msie’ of undefined”. I tried to implement the https://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-3.0.1.js script didnt work how can i fix this?

Is there a way to have the timer show for the same user multiple times over a short period of time. I’m using the evergreen feature with cookies option so that it counts down 60 seconds before redirecting. Ideally I’d like someone to be able to go back to that same page later that day or or the next and have the counter restart. At the moment this doesn’t happen, I’m assuming because of a cookie that has been set to say not to run the time because the time has already expired. Is there something I can do to disable this cookie so that it shows every time.

Hello, the countdown timer does not seem to display or work with the X Theme Cornerstone Page Builder.

I noticed others had the same problem with other page builders, but the threads do not seem to indicate if the problem was resolved.

Is there a update for this yet, or soon? And in the meantime, is there a fix for the problem I can manually manage?
