Is there any way to exclude read posts from the featured posts? When a user (logged in) clicks (and reads) a featured post, I don’t want it to show up in the list afterwards.

Because this plugin looks great, but I really need that function.

Any tips?

I installed the IW plugin to my (still under construction) blog on a twenty-sixteen child theme.
Front page with slider and IW featured post on sidebar.
Checked out how it looks under different browsers/environments.
I set it as a featured post with featured image, title and excerpt. (excerpt template).
IW works perfectly under chrome and Edge.
Also perfectly under safari Ipad and iphone.
There is a problem on Firefox PC (updated to last version) though.
On firefox, the thumbnail becomes really very small.
I deactivated the slider I am using on the same front page (Advanced posts slider) and WI started working perfectly on Firefox…

Does anybody “suddenly” have problems with IntelliWidget along with WP 4.4.?

When I have installed and activated the plug in, I go to select it in APPEARANCE -> Intelliwidget Pro and I get the following error.

Hello,

I am getting the following error after installing this plugin. Please can you help me resolve this issue.

I didn’t do anything except install and drag the widget to the widget area. The backend works fine but I get this message on the homepage:

Hi,
what does “Sort by menu order” do? I thought I could specify an order by how I entered the posts in the widget, but it does not do that.

just updated to the latest v.2.3.7 of your plugin and immediately received the following PHP warning multiple times in my php error log:

Hello,

When I open a page to edit I get this warning:

Warning: asort() expects parameter 2 to be long, string given in /home/content/69/10898769/html/ksrural/wp-content/plugins/intelliwidget-per-page-featured-posts-and-menus/includes/classes/Admin.php on line 252.

It doesn’t(so far as I can see now, at least cause any problems except slowing me down.

I have deactivated it for now.

I updated this morning to 2.3.4 and when updating my categories stopped working.

I use the following short code:

[intelliwidget category=”37″ sortby=”title” items=”all” template=”flcsu_custom” imagealign=”center” image_size=”thumbnail” active_only=”1″]

And it is no longer showing only the category 37 items, it is now showing all posts. (See https://www.flcsu.org/clearinghouse/presentations/topics_technology/)

I’m eager to get this resolved as it is making my site mostly unusable.

I updated the plugin to the latest version but after i did that it kept showing the same post. I looked at my settings but nothing had changed. Fortunately I was using a previous version of the plugin on a different site. After I uploaded the previous version everything worked again.

Does someone know what might have gone wrong?

It works great to show the Project category, and it will list posts. Problem is that other Project categories are showing up.

I’ve a 3 level custom taxonomy
parent -> sub -> sub-sub

example: Cars -> California -> Los Angeles

So
if I’m in Cars – show posts from Cars
if I’m in California – show posts Only from California
if I’m in Los Angeles – show posts Only from Los Angeles

Can I do this / How can I do this plugin.

A Great Plugin.

As I am very new to wordpress, so asking you this simple question.

I am trying to use my blog like a monthly magazine style. So, I created a parent category, say FEB2015 and then actual categories of the magazine. Now, I add posts under FEB2015 and also choose a sub category.

Then, I am using a sidebar widget ‘BNS Featured Category’ and showing all posts’ titles from FEB2015 category in this sidebar widget.

Now I want to use this Intelliwidget to schedule all the posts which I am writing during January 2015, but don’t want to display them until 1st February 2015.

Please explain me in steps:
1. Do I need to save my post as a draft pr publish it?
2. What boxes do I need to check from the 5 boxes of Include, Exclude in Post Selection?
3. Any other setting do I need from General Setting, Post selection and/or Appearance?

I’ve made some changes to excerpt styles by creating a intelliwidget directory in my theme and uploading the intelliwidget.css and adjusting/adding there… It works fine for what I need regarding styles…

I also wanted to do some things with the ellipses at the end of excerpts… I have been able to do what I need by changing line 308 in the class-widget-intelliwidget.php file… Changing it to this… $excerpt .= ' ?. . . "'; So that I get spaces between the dots, and a quote at the end… There is also a hard space in front of the first dot…

I tried putting the php file into the intelliwidget directory with the style css but didn’t affect, so made the changes in the actual file in the plugin, which gives me what I wanted…

So my question is, is there a way to do this, another place/way to put the change, so I don’t loose the change when the plugin is updated…?

i have a menu structure with 8 parent menu items and around 70 child menu items per parent.
my goal is to show a widget when parent or child is shown.
so each parent menu item got his own widget triggered.

When I am in the page that I want to edit and i head to Intelliwidget and select drop down profiles to use, i have some from other pages. I want to edit the characteristics of the one for the current profile for my page. In other words I want to edit the settings of this page profile. Can I delete a profile? edit a page profile?

I am not seeing an easy way to update a profile that already exists.

What happens is I will set up a profile and assign the profile to many pages. Then if a mistake is made or I want to change something about that profile, I have to either override the profile on each individual page or create a new profile that I have to manually assign to each page I need changed.

Is it possible to modify the contents of an existing profile and have the profile affect all pages it is assigned to?

I have downloaded intelliwidget plugin so that I can add different html ad links of each page of my blog according to the content of each page. Now I am using the original consent sidebar of wordpress but when I paste the html link it’s displaying same link on every page of the blog ( here is my blog link: https://www.xplor-india.com)

After downloading the intelliwidget this is what I tried to do but the links are not displaying the pages:

Went to Posts>Clicked on post (RISHIKESH, THE SPIRITUAL RETREAT)> UNDER INTELLIWIDGET ADDED THE HTML CODE IN “ADDITIONAL TEX/HTML”>CLICKED “SAVE SETTING”.

AFTER DOING THIS I SAW THE PAGE BUT THE HTML I ADDED IS NOT DISPLAYING ON THE PAGE. DO I NEED TO ANYTHING ADDITIONAL SO THAT MY HTML CODES CAN BE DISPLAYED?

I updated the plugin and now the titles of my posts aren’t set apart whatsoever from the excerpts of my posts, and it looks terrible. Why on earth would someone want to display several posts in a row and have them look like one big paragraph with no visual separation from different posts? I’m using the “excerpt” template and it was working beautifully before the update, any way to fix? It’s at the bottom of the homepage: https://friendsofmongolia.org.

Update: I fixed this with custom CSS code for .widget_intelliwidget h3.intelliwidget-title, but it seems like bad practice and I really don’t see why some sort of title formatting would be taken out of a list of posts.

I want to use the shortcodes to insert an intellliwidget in my page.

I don’t have any intelliwidgets in my widgets section. I went to the page where I want to use the shortcode, and insert [intellliwidget] on it. Can I use the Intelliwidget Profiles for that page to control the shortcode intelliwidget? It seems like I can’t — I selected to Add New Profile and under “Parent Profile to replace” I selected Shortcode in Post Content, but when I change settings under the page’s Intelliwidget Profiles it seems to have no effect on what actually shows up on the page.

Can you give step by step instructions on how this should work?

Here is my situation.
In the beginning everything worked fine. Recently we did some updates to our site. No new plugs but newer versions of WP and plugins.
I went to edit a page or create a new page and I would get a blank page when I clicked edit or sometimes I would get a parse error.

I disabled all my plugins and reactivated them one by one. And I’ve nailed it down to the “IntelliWidget Per Page Featured Posts and Menus”
For some reason, when I activate this plugin I’m not able to edit nor add new pages.
I’m currently using this plug for a side bar menu on sub pages.
